You know why American students are so bad at science…?

Here’s an example.. A story comes out that an asteroid may hit in 2032 (and another one in 2036, but that’s besides the point) .. and what does the news media collectively do? Put it at the end of their newscasts, or the back of the paper, and make a little funny quip about ‘better get your stockpile of food ready’ or something else they find funny. But it’s not very funny to think that an life-altering event may take place—in our lifetimes! It’s not too humorous to imagine a world where food can’t grow, water is not clean, and everything eventually dies off. Science is also mocked, left until the ‘end’ of the broadcast.. and when spoken about, changed into a political debate instead of scientific one.. Science is not respected much by this modern world.. And certainly kids in high schools aren’t given many examples in life of their piers respecting much of anything about it. Believe in earth changes? You’re an elitist. Scared of 2032’s asteroid strike? You’re a prepper.. All political. Neve…

Sirius XM drops a LOT of popular programming..

I smell a PR disaster..Sirius XM just dropped a lot of popular shows and channels from their lineup.. a contractual issue with Clear Channel is the reason. But head over to the Sirius Facebook page and see .. every single comment is someone saying they are now dropping their Sirius subscription.. And in a sense, Sirius did not tell people who were signing up within the last few days that the shows they were signing up for were suddenly going to be dropped on midnight October 18 .. very bad business plan on this one Sirius.. .. very bad indeed. They are lucky they have Howard Stern and Art Bell.. There really are few other reasons at this point to keep the service if you’ve already paid for it..

After six years and marriage and a two and a half year old…

…an anniversary dinner at a nice restaurant reveals two truths: 1) We don’t know how to eat hot food anymore. There were no interruptions for us to let it cool down.. And 2) We forgot how to drive at night. This is now the life of me and my wife:

SATURDAY MORNING CARTOONS

SATURDAY MORNING CARTOONS

Krokodil is the drug to watch..

My unamed nephew at an unnamed school in Pennsylvania tells me that his unnamed classmates have spoken of an interest in finding Krokodil.. this worries me. It truly does. . I have been spreading the message of this drug for months now after hearing about the ravages on bodies it is causing in Russia. This is the closest thing we are going to get to the ‘zombie’ apocalypse so many joke about. But Krokodil is not a joke.. it’s a drug that has some big ramifications here in America. It is here.. A source even confirmed to me that the MILITARY has is spreading the word among ranks, telling soldiers to avoid this drug.. For anyone who wants to try this nonsense, remember this: It eats you from the inside out. And people are taking it—sometimes unknowingly..  If you thought heroin was bad? ? You ain’t seen nothin’ yet.

GHOST BUSTER GALS SPILL THE BEANS

As if you didn’t think the Art Bell return  to radio was interesting enough, in comes this: First Coast to Coast AM began trying to steal guests away from DARK MATTER, but now this: Ronnie Foster and Laura Mistyeah told Art Bell last night that they were also booked for an appearance on Coast to Coast AM… Until they received a call from Tom Danheiser, the producer of Coast to Coast AM, and told them that he was doing ‘research on the net’ and found out they were booked on DARK MATTER. According to the"Ghost Buster Gals," Tommy D told them that they’d be canceled from Coast if they made an appearance on Art Bell’s show..Whether Tom Danheiser knew that the two somewhat famous pet ghost hunters would tell the world of this affair or not, the beans are spilled ..  Art Bell allowed the Ghost Buster gals to expound on their experience with Coast ..  Bell most likely couldn’t pass up the chance..  Tonight on Facebook, he wrote: When I said competition I hoped would cause Coast to up th…

Well... does soup REALLY expire anyway?

"During the shutdown, we made every effort to water accessible plants. And of necessity, the refrigerators were emptied of all perishable foodstuffs last week. The oldest food found? A can of Campbell’s soup dated 1997! So, please remember it is everyone’s responsibility to keep the refrigerators clean" Text from an email at the EPA today.. it was sent to workers returning to work after the government shutdown..  That’s pretty old soup—and actually may date back to the previous government shutdown. ….so how many federal workers you think were found still asleep at their desks when offices reopened today???
