SNOWY SATURDAY SCENE

A snowy Saturday morning… When it gets warm eventually there’s sure a lot to melt.

Small earthquake shakes big area

A 4.4 quake hit South Carolina Friday night.. The shake was felt far and wide..

The quake in SC and the extent of the shake.. And imagine being without any power during a cold and snowy wave--and an earthquake shakes the ground under you .. Freaky..

A question on Belgium's new euthanasia policy

I received this question in my inbox:If children are terminal ill and are suffering every single day, then why would we have the right to let them suffer until they die a painful death? When in fact, we can give them a peaceful and painless death so the child and the parents don't have to suffer no longer. Belgium is a very rational country with mostly atheists, you are American so I get why you have problems with it.But this goes to the overall question of assisted suicide in general.. not only for children, but for adults.  Medicine seems to have two functions right now. On one hand it’s trying to help relieve pain and help people survive (which is why opposition to medicinal pot is inane) and on the other hand it is trying to enforce a culture in which we need to decide when people die. When their time is up.. when no more miracles can happen. I don’t know what to say about children in immense pain and suffering, nor about adults. It is a sad fact that happens every day—and yes, …

Fear Friday: A Lupercalia Day news wrap

I may not have been a blizzard, but my God there is a lot of snow.. And even the lack of the 'term' blizzard being given to a storm does not take severity away--especially those special moments, around midnight, when you are trying to shovel to prepare for the next today. And while you shovel, the wind whips your face with new fallen snow and the drifting begins on the paths you tried to clear.. Yes, that is really what winter is all about. It makes me chuckle to see the Sochi Olympics are experiencing record warmth this year.  They should have picked somewhere in the Northeast and they would have been fine..

The snow is ending just in time for millions of spectators in life to celebrate commercialism at its best: Valentine's Day. No modern holiday comes without its share of mystery and occult, though. Including this lover's day.. It all goes back to love and fertility, and sacrifices to the gods.. There is a good wrap up of what the ancient meaning of the holiday is.. …

Getting PURGE ready

This is a creepy new PURGE 2 ad… The imagery used is pretty chilling .. Quaint streets coupled with the gruesomeness of what happens after sundown … Creepy.. The ad actually reminds me a little of the trick or treating scene from ET. The soft colors and the masks..  Maybe that is why it's so damn scary

Snowstorm rantings

There is a major snowstorm taking place outside my window.. And my daily newspaper wasn't very helpful in bringing hope for the spring season. I have a somewhat more personal blog called COAL SPEAKER, and I wrote about my thoughts on the dying area that I live in, the coal region of Pennsylvania. Give it a shot if you're interested.. it's certainly something that hits home for me..

But there's other news in the world, too..

Blizzard conditions ..
Major winter storm slams..

The snowstorm couldn't be coming at a worse time for flower delivery people in the Northeast.. how will they get their roses delivered on time!? I suspect many people will opt for the TURKEY HILL experience--a dozen roses for just $19.99, just find the vase you gave from last year.

Get ready: A Comcast mega deal is coming.. they are buying TIME WARNER, if all goes well..

Belgium may allow kids to kill themselves..

Best Valentine's Day horror movies..

Hints and allegations..

From time to time, Coast to Coast AM host George Noory chats live with listeners who pay a monthly fee to get the chance.. He was asked several questions about John Wells termination (we stand by that word) as the Saturday host of Coast, and also one about Clyde Lewis.. Snippets from the chat conducted Tuesday February 11, 2014:

Comment From dave in tucson We miss John B. Wells. I understand this is business, but will he ever be back? Maybe even as a guest. Tuesday February 11, 2014

george noory: No...I'm disappointed too, but without getting INTO it...He wanted his own thing...and we amicably parted ways. Some say he was fired. He wasn't. He's a freelancer, not an employee...we simply have decided to move on...as he has as well.

Comment From Nightshade George, are you now afraid to do Politcal shows like John B Wells? Tuesday February 11, 2014

A blizzard slowly beginning outside.. And Clyde Lewis is busy playing clips of demon calls on his radio show.. Who needs Andre Linoge to prowl the snowy landscape when you have creepy radio..

Unforgiving sinkholes don't care how expensive your cars are..

I first admit this: I did not know there was a Corvette Museum.

Now I do.. I apologize to the car aficionados who will berate me for my lack of in depth knowledge  of the classic midlife crisis car..

The reason is tragic, though, at least if you like cars and the crust of the planet earth.
It appears that a large sinkhole has swallowed 8 vehicles at the museum in Bowling Green, Kentucky..

The sinkhole is reported to be as wide as 40 feet and as deep as 30 feet or more.. *8 cars are not in it, including the following: 1993 ZR-1 Spyder on loan from General Motors
2009 ZR1 “Blue Devil” on loan from General Motors
1962 Black Corvette
1984 PPG Pace Car
1992 White 1 Millionth Corvette
1993 Ruby Red 40th Anniversary Corvette
2001 Mallett Hammer Z06 Corvette
2009 White 1.5 Millionth Corvette

You can follow more details from local coverage at WBKO..

Wednesday weirdness: Blizzards on earth, water on Mars.. and Bieber's gone from Belieber to Bizzle. All in a day's headlines

WEDNESDAY FEBRUARY 12 2014

There is a major storm brewing.. Andre Linoge is quietly preparing to walk the snowy land in search of what he wants.. and then he'll go away..
This storm coming appears to be a major one--over a foot for HORROR REPORT home base and blizzard conditions all up and down the East Coast.. But it has a fleeting feeling, too. After all, it can't stay THIS COLD and THIS SNOWY for much longer, right? Once President's day hits and goes, things warm up.. right? Snowstorms still happen--the blizzard of 1993 being a great example--in spring.. Anything is possible in the year of the dark horse..

Now onto the news..

Mega ice storm Atlanta: Deep South problems as thousands begin losing power..

Panic: Shoppers fight over last bit of food in grocery stores..

"Trace" amounts of chemical still existent in West Virginia water supplies..
Some patients were told not to drink water..

TIMES OF ISRAEL: Iran 'ready for decisive battle' with the United States a…
