Another strange coincidence keeps Art Bell off the air Monday night

The show was prepped. Guest David Jacobs was about to do his second round on MIDNIGHT IN THE DESERT.. At 8:58 PM left coast time, everything stopped working. Just as 'The Chase' got ready to play and the thunder before bumper music was set to sound. Something strange continues to plague the growing program for Art Bell.

Even Bell seemed a bit miffed when he went to Facebook last night, posting three consecutive messages and clearly showing frustration with the incident--at least the second time now that a last minute internet outage has led to the show being preempted and replaced with a repeat.

From Bell:
Can you hear me now? The Internet in Phoenix has failed taking this out of my heartbroken hands. Damn I wanted to do this show but a single point of failure failed. Check back here for details.

The first message showcased the hope that the program but, it certainly wasn't due to the lack of effort.

He went on to write,
Ok, here is the story and it is pretty much what I already told you the main Internet in Phoenix failed, XDS is playing a back up show and Keith is now using back up Internet and feeding another show. We are toast for Tonight, BUT Tomorrow I will Interview Dr Jacobs come hell or high water. PS the Internet failed at 8:58pm! So, we will increase the back up so this never happens again, the current back up in Phoenix is not strong enough to handle all the feeds, that will be corrected right away. I feel sick about this as I was sooo ready to go. If I have failure here, yes we miss a show but if we have failure in Phoenix we can not even do a replay, that can't ever happen again and won't.

And one more message added to the mystery and the potential inner-workings of Bell's mind as to what is really happening:
This is a post I just picked up below:

I love the organic feel of your show Art. It's life happening in real time. I will take the real you, glitches and all, any day over scripted, corporate radio. Your MITD is very much a grassroots high tech effort. I am enjoying the ride.

She is right about the organic part, something is not right about what went down tonight. I can't talk about it now but just saying.....

Organic indeed.
Strange and reassuring perhaps.
But there seems to be more back story to the front loaded programming problems. The outage at 8:58 seems very interesting. Timing is key. There are no "coninshidenches," some would say.

In this circumstance, you can conclude: Outage me once, shame on you. Outage me twice, shame on me.

Outage a third time?
A conspiracy.

STRANGER THINGS 2 looks incredible

The newest STRANGER THINGS 2 trailer hit on Friday the 13th .. amazing timing as always with the fine people at Netflix..

The excitement over this program is incredible. Not only are people re-watching and re-binging the first season in preparation, but there is an equal amount of re-watching and analyzing of the newest trailers..

Before discussion.. take a glance:

My initial thought: This is actually the weaker of the teasers and trailers for season 2.. Yes, I am inclined to wonder why Eleven is more androgynous  .. why she has more hair now and no one shaved it. why she is out of the upside down and eating Eggos in the normal world..

So many questions about her. But the trailer didn't pay much attention to her--I think on purpose. Instead we glimpsed into the post-pubescent boys and now new friends of another gender planning something, just as the world is being taken over by giant squid creatures from the upside down.

Not viewed at all? Mike's mom and dad. Barb..

Forgive me…

Yes, indeed.. a hurricane-ish type storm is about to hit Ireland..

Hurricane Ophelia is the 10th consecutive hurricane to form in the Atlantic basin this year. According to University of Miami hurricane expert Brian McNoldy, the last time ten consecutive storms became a hurricane was 1893. While a very interesting factoid, the "elephant in the room" is that Ophelia is headed to Ireland. It is rare, but not unprecedented.

There are a few interesting things about this.. First off, there have been really rare occasions that storms of this nature made it as far as Ophelia may..

Actually there have been only a handful in the past years since about, oh, 1851..

From 1851 to 2010, only 10 extratropical storms, typically the tail ends of tropical cyclones, have hit within 200 miles (322 kilometers) of Ireland....Hurricane Debbie was the only tropical hurricane to make landfall in that area, clipping the far northwest of the British Isles in 1961.

But this is 2017--the year that mayhem on …

Real news has become surreal.. I find many headlines of our current day to relate back to THE STAND.. I know the comparison is a little fuzzy, and my overdoing it may be annoying to some. But when the strange similarities to me are striking.. The STAND starts in Texas. And in real life Texas is the center stage for the Ebola scare. And even worse, the endless stories of people 'coming back to life' are getting bizarre--though we can assume that parts of Africa cannot truly pinpoint the cause of death, so somene coming back to life is moot: The person probably wasn't dead. At least we hope they weren't.. Though SNOPES can tell us it's a hoax, try to explain the high strangeness of ABC NEWS filming a dead man and suddenly seeing him moving..

Continuing to the real news of the day (though it seems like fiction half of the time), focus is now turning on how Thomas Duncan got inot the United States. The Washington POST is giving us an hour by hour synopsis of what happen…
