Bell in pop culture

Midnight in the Desert continues its growth in popularity.. So much so that the Gang has now found him..

The heavy wooden doll's hand: Gravity or demonic possession stuck in a glass case?

Anne Streiber passes away

Anne Streiber, the creator of UNKNOWNCOUNTRY.COM and Whitley Streiber’s wife, has died after a battle cancer..

More from Whitley at Unknowncountry..

Cemetery of fear

A cemetery in Chicago is going all the way.. They are going to HOST a screening of the horror movie SINISTER..

Of course they say alcohol will be prohibited.
But why ban something tacky when they are already being as tacky as ever.

Call me a precarious pundit but I think this is not clever at all but instead rather disrespectable.. Tacky perhaps, all around, is the best word to describe it..

Houston horror

From s UK GUARDIAN report today on a particularly gruesome true crime in Texas:

A man charged in the deaths of a couple and six children at a Houston home has professed love for one of the victims – his son – but said he thought the children were “growing up to be monsters”.

David Conley, who was being held without bond Wednesday on capital murder counts, was formerly in a relationship with the children’s mother, Valerie Jackson. Authorities say the two had a 13-year-old son together.

So as a result he handcuffed them all together and shot them in the head..

He told media he loved them to death. And now they are dead.
He proclaimed they were becoming monsters, so he became an immoral and unforgivable monster himself and killed those he should have protected and loved the most...

NASA is not BUSY explaining this one.. but people are busy asking.

The UK MIRROR writes:

The strange UFO was spotted on a NASA live feed from the orbiting space stationand comes weeks after the space agency cut the feed after three glowing objects were spotted in the sky.
This new sighting has been uploaded to YouTube where it has amassed over 160,000 views.
“We need them to maybe start pointing the ISS cameras outward and stop treating people like children,” says YouTuber Streetcap1 who uploaded the footage.
Some of the comments on the video have accused Streetcap1 of doctoring the footage, but the YouTuber insists it’s genuine.

Pink at night.. an astronaut’s delight…
Pink in the morning? Aliens are warning..
NASA is hiding?
The truth is sliding..
Down the corridor of reality..
The pink stars are falling.

Roadside memorials to the dead and gone.

This past weekend while my wife and I were driving home from a peaceful family get-together, we saw something that seemingly shocked our normalcy for a bit. A group of people were gathered along side a major highway putting a makeshift memorial together near a tree.
A grown man was clutching a child, all the while he was weeping. Other people were gathered around the site in the same fashion, obviously moved to tears if not more. There was a large degree of emotion at that site, I can tell even though we were passing by at a fairly speedy clip.

Something awful had occurred there. A death, of course.
The last place that a human being inhabited a body on the planet earth..
The last place someone was breathing in mortal temple of the soul.

There are some important questions I will get to about these sites, some thoughts as well. But think for a second the meaning behind them when you drive by.. People not directly affected by the deaths of whomever passed at the countless sites are reminde…

And Donald Trump's polls rise.

No matter what.

The media declared him dead. Republicans hoped his candidacy was. Megyn Kelly figured she stuck the dagger through the political heart of his campaign for president.

And then ..

NBC news released a scientific poll showing that he is well in the lead AFTER the debates..

From NBC news:

The overnight poll was conducted for 24 hours from Friday evening into Saturday. During that period, Donald Trump stayed in the headlines due to his negative comments about Kelly and was dis-invited from a major conservative gathering in Atlanta.
None of that stopped Trump from coming in at the top of the poll with 23 percent. Sen. Ted Cruz was next on the list with 13 percent.
They indeed all float.
