SUNDAY MORNING LIVE: DONALD TRUMP ASKS IF THE FCC SHOULD INVESTIGATE SATURDAY NIGHT LIVE!

The FEC examines improper campaign contributions while the FCC originated the fairness doctrine – a regulation that requires the news give equal time to both sides. However the doctrine was discontinued in 1987 and is no longer on the books. Additionally, when it was used by the FCC as a method of distributing television and radio licenses, it was found not to apply to elected officials.

Also, ‘Saturday Night Live’ is a comedy show and its satire is protected free speech.

Historic flooding has followed in the wake of the “bomb cyclone”…

Historic flooding has followed in the wake of the “bomb cyclone” that rammed into the central U.S. this week, with USA Today reporting that Nebraska experienced what may be the worst floods in half a century.

Flooding has continued in swathes of Iowa, Missouri, and Nebraska, according to CNN.

A bomb cyclone occurs when—as happened last week when a storm that began to form in the Southwest swept across the Central U.S.—pressure drops dramatically in a short period of time, a phenomenon known as “explosive bombogenesis.” It’s rare for one to happen in the inland U.S., and this week’s storm resulted in severe weather across a massive stretch of the country.

We would strongly urge that the link not be shared. We are working to have any footage removed.“

Nevertheless, News Corp’s Sky News Australia continued showing the footage, which prompted the pulling of the plug.

Fans and viewers were quick to take to the comments section, voicing their displeasure.

“I honestly found it very disappointing when you said you care more about parties and tailgates rather than your education. If you hate school so much why go to college?” one commenter said, according to People magazine. “And it’s honestly insulting when tons of people can’t even afford to go to college but want to.”

“Dang must be nice to only go to school for the game days, or to party…,” another user wrote sarcastically, the outlet reported. “Here I am going cause I would be the first of my family’s generation to have a degree and better opportunities.”

After reading the backlash from the comments to the video, she posted a second video apology titled “im sorry,” saying she was “disappointed in herself.”

    WHY JAMES GUNN WAS FIRED!
According to Deadline, James Gunn, years before working on the Disney-Marvel franchise, tweeted, “I like when little boys touch me in my silly place” and “The best thing about being raped is when you’re done being raped, and it’s like ‘whew, this feels great, not being raped!” Gunn, at the time, must have somehow perceived these tweets as humorous; however, how he could think so bewilders most..
    social media… will… get you …
James Gunn even went on to post inappropriate tweets about the Holocaust, AIDS, and the 9/11 attack. Looking for humor in the wrong places, Disney went on to fire the director from Guardians of the Galaxy. According to Deadline, the Walt Disney Studio Chairman Alan Horn stated:

At the beginning of the hearing he appeared to have a faint smile on his face, but it faded into a neutral expression as the hearing continued.

Security was tight, with about six security guards and police in total, the guards wearing black protective vests.

No members of the public were allowed to attend except for media ‘in the interest of public safety’, the judge said.

Tarrant was remanded in custody. His duty lawyer did not apply for bail. Nor did he apply for suppression on information of the proceedings.

The hearing was all over in just a few minutes, with Tarrant taking one final look at those gathered and marched away. Some victims’ relatives were waiting at the front doors to the court.

Mass shootings at New Zealand mosques kill 49

At least 49 people were killed in mass shootings at two mosques full of worshippers attending Friday prayers on what the prime minister called “one of New Zealand’s darkest days.”
One man was arrested and charged with murder in what appeared to be a carefully planned racist attack. Police also defused explosive devices in a car.
Two other people were being held in custody and police said they were trying to determine how they might be involved.
This reporting from the U.K. DAILY MAIL:
The gunman, who identified himself as Brenton Tarrant from Grafton, NSW, Australia, stormed the Al Noor Mosque in Christchurch on the country’s South Island about 1.30pm, opening fire with a semi-automatic shotgun and a rifle on about 100 defenceless worshippers attending Friday prayers. A sickening 17-minute video of the unfolding horror shows the self-confessed white supremacist dressed in army fatigues firing mercilessly at people scrambling to flee, and calmly reloading when he runs out of bullets. At about the same time, there was a second shooting at Masjid mosque in Linwood, where seven more were killed. In the aftermath of the bloody attacks, three men and one woman were arrested, with police charging ‘one man in his late 20s’ with murder. He is expected to face court on Saturday. Three of the arrests are believed to be directly related to the attacks, with the fourth’s involvement still being determined.

  • Gambino crime family boss Frank Cali shot dead outside Staten Island home

Gambino crime family boss Frank Cali shot dead outside Staten Island home

Cali is the first mob boss to be slain in New York City since a fresh-faced John Gotti ordered the murder of then-Gambino boss Paul Castellano in 1985 at Sparks steakhouse in Midtown.

“Even Gotti had more respect,” one police source told The Post. “He did it out in Manhattan.”

Cali was rushed to Staten Island University Hospital North, where he was declared dead.

A 911 caller reported hearing six or seven shots at the scene, but it was unclear how many bullets struck Cali, police sources said.

Residents in the neighborhood were spooked by the old-time rub out in the quiet neighborhood.

“I’ve seen the [mob] movies . . . but I’ve never seen any activity that we feel at all that there’s something strange about this area,” said Prashant Ranyal, 39, who lives blocks from the scene.
