  • Gramps ready to take his mask off

Gramps ready to take his mask off

A sampling of headlines seals the deal: COVID, it seems, is over!?

Abrupt end to mask mandates reflects shifting political landscape…
    No vax proof for Oscars…
Restrictions ‘will soon be thing of past’…
Hawaii will NOT require tourists to be boosted…
    UK to drops isolations…

    But is it!?

So there are some voices in the wilderness of “science” who ponder the question: What should we follow now!?

The harsh lockdowns and mask requirements are quickly waning. Those who wanted jail time for the maskless a month ago are now urging to fasten your seatbelt and watch the restrictions go away like magic.

    Eric Fiegl-Ding.. I know you’re stunned.

    Science magic, after all?

The science, we are now told, “changed.”

What in the world does that mean!?

There are a chosen few still on social media that are shocked at the rapid turn of events. People are are questioning how this can be happening when there are ambulances shortages in rural America, hosoitals still overrun, a 900,000+ death toll, children still spreading like wildfire, and a large cauldron of long haulers that don’t seem able to shake the symptoms that never go away.

But follow the science we must!!!
Just one week ago cloth masks were ruled ineffective. Science said.
N95s were a must! This week tear them off and go hog-wild!! Endemic-ity is here to stay!

    Into the wild blue yonder!
    Into the abyss!?

    We will see..
And just think of the possibilities! If we stop counting cases, COVID goes away..

  • PROFIT$ SOAR FOR PFIZER!

    PROFIT$ SOAR FOR PFIZER!

PFIZER EXPECTS $54 BILLION IN 2022 SALES ON COVID VACCINE AND TREATMENT PILL →

    • Pfizer expects to sell $32 billion of its Covid-19 shots and $22 billion of its antiviral coronavirus treatment pill Paxlovid
    • But the drugmaker posted mixed fourth-quarter results, beating on earnings but missing on revenue.
    • Pfizer forecasts $98 billion to $102 billion in sales for 2022, and adjusted earnings per share of $6.35 to $6.55.
    • On an unadjusted basis, fourth-quarter profit soared more than fourfold to $3.39 billion.

    ….and profits are theirs..

Pfizer Inc said on Tuesday it expects 2022 sales of its COVID-19 vaccine and antiviral pill to top $54 billion, but that fell short of lofty Wall Street estimates and its shares were off about 3%.

Still, Chief Executive Albert Bourla said final sales for its oral COVID-19 antiviral, Paxlovid, could be “way bigger” than what Pfizer has forecast since its current outlook only included contracts that have been or are close to being signed.

Pfizer currently expects $22 billion in 2022 sales of the treatment, compared with Wall Street estimates of $22.88 billion.

  • The Bleak Winter Games

    The Bleak Winter Games

These Are the Dystopia OlympicsThere are plenty of good reasons why Americans are largely tuning out from the 2022 Beijing Winter Olympics. There’s the fatigue factor

From MSN.. a pretty bleak and true assessment of the 2022 Winter Games..

There’s the fatigue factor, as the “2020 Tokyo Summer Games” took place just a few months ago, in Summer 2021—having been delayed for a year because of the COVID-19 pandemic.

There’s the anticlimactic visuals of once-again empty Olympic stadiums, leaving no live audience for a TV viewer to relate with, as magnificent athletes perform their astounding feats.

But more than anything, the Beijing Games are simply creepy and sad.

And if okay people were watching they’d know! Ratings are just as bleak as the games ..

Just a quick side note on Archive 81: It was perfectly splendid.. Not a bad show in the entirety. However we had some issues with the final show, we didn’t think it properly summed up the storyline that was being created in the first several episodes.

Undoubtedly it can set up a second season–which is also perfectly fine.

All in all enjoyable, and a creepy vibe.

  • Omicron high USA

    Omicron high USA

Though considered milder than other coronavirus variants, omicron has infected so many people that it has driven the number of daily deaths beyond where it was last spring, before vaccines were widely available, according to Washington Post data.

Omicron has been particularly lethal to people over 75, the unvaccinated and the medically vulnerable, according to doctors and public health officials. The soaring death toll also illustrates why experts pleaded with the public to beware of the highly contagious variant even though it is less virulent than others.

Covid deaths highest in a year as omicron targets the unvaccinated and elderlyOmicron has been particularly lethal to people over 75, the unvaccinated and the medically vulnerable, according to doctors and public health officials..

“That feels quite jarring to people who may have assumed omicron is generally on a per-case level less severe and given the fact we have vaccinated at least some portion of the country,” said Jennifer Nuzzo, an epidemiologist at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health. “Even if on a per-case basis fewer people develop severe illness and die, when you apply a small percentage to a very large number, you get a substantial number.”
