    Peak attention for Peak Design

Peak Design, a company known for its  backpacks, found itself unexpectedly involved in the case of Luigi Mangione!!

The company’s CEO, Paul Dering, identified one of their products in surveillance footage related to the tragic murder of UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson.

Thompson was fatally shot on December 4, 2024, outside the Hilton Hotel in Midtown Manhattan. The assailant, captured on camera, was seen carrying a distinctive gray backpack. Dering recognized the bag as an older model of Peak Design’s Everyday Backpack, which was discontinued in 2019. He  contacted the New York Police Department (NYPD) to share this information. Dering noted that after the NYPD released images of the suspect, he received numerous messages pointing out the backpack’s make, leading him to reach out to law enforcement.

The NYPD later discovered a backpack matching the description in Central Park, near Heckscher Playground. Inside, they said they found a Tommy Hilfiger jacket and Monopoly money, but no weapon. The bag was sent for forensic testing to gather potential evidence.

And with that, the company has been thrust into a controversy.

Following the incident, Peak Design’s social media accounts experienced increased activity, leading the company to disable comments on platforms like TikTok to manage the influx.

The White House is saying that there is nothing to see in New Jersey!

The White House is now declaring that all sightings of drones over New Jersey have either been manned aircraft or have not been observed in any secure locations. Additionally, they are suggesting that mass hysteria might be at play and that the drones people claim to see—and are sharing on social media—may not be drones at all.

We will now observe the reaction. Or drones. Whichever we see first or don’t.

Mayor Sam Morris, a mayor from New Jersey, who has been front and center on this topic, called the White House’s comments, incredulous and ridiculous.

  • The take our money sketchbook series

The take our money sketchbook series

Some might say the Mattel toy company is digging into the archives just to give us what we want. Others might overwhelmingly say, “Enough with the side series—how much more money do you want to take from us?!”

Hordak and Grizzlor from the Masters of the Universe realm are getting their own two-figure release. They don’t resemble the cartoon or the original action figure versions from the 1980s. Instead, they represent the concept art sketches of what they looked like prior to the creation of the action figures or the eventual hit series.

It’s a lot. Many fans are still frustrated that the original Origins re-release never really concluded. Then came the cartoon-style representations of the action figures. And now, in the midst of all this, we’re getting a potential new side story featuring sketchbook-inspired figures.

Don’t get me wrong—if I see them in the wild, I’ll probably pick them up. I might even order them online when they’re available. But it’s becoming overwhelming.

    Ok… when can we buy??

  • We keep droning on about the drones

We keep droning on about the drones

There’s a lot of intrigue surrounding the mysterious drones spotted over New Jersey and several other states. If social media reports are to be believed, these drones are appearing not just across the United States but also in multiple countries worldwide. So, what exactly are they?

We could speculate that they’re the work of hobbyists, but the size of these drones in some videos suggests otherwise. In several clips, they appear almost as large as airplanes—unless, of course, the videos are misleading, and what we’re actually seeing are planes.

At least one congressman has publicly claimed that these drones could be linked to Iran, suggesting the existence of an Iranian “mothership” off the East Coast. However, the Pentagon has categorically denied this, stating there is no evidence to support the claim that the drones are from Iran—or from any other country, for that matter.

The military has also clarified that these drones do not belong to them.

    Theories Abound

So where does that leave us? A process of elimination points to a few possibilities:

A hobbyist or corporation operating these drones for unknown reasons.

A highly classified mission by the U.S. military or Space Force, with officials keeping tight-lipped.

    Aliens—because, why not?

While the idea of extraterrestrial involvement is a staple in UFO discussions, many enthusiasts argue that traditional UFOs don’t emit noise, don’t have blinking lights, and certainly don’t resemble human-made aircraft.

    A Wild Theory

Here’s a theory that’s as wild as any other: What if the drones are holograms? What if they’re not physically present at all? While the noises captured in videos suggest the drones are real, it’s possible the sound combined with a holographic display is creating an elaborate illusion designed to test public reactions.

    The Frustration of Poor Footage

One of the most frustrating aspects of this situation is the lack of clear photographic evidence. Despite the prevalence of smartphones in Connecticut, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania, no one seems able to capture high-quality images or videos of these mysterious objects.

So, for now, we’re left with a mystery. Perhaps, if the drones stick around through the holidays, we might see them adorned with Christmas lights to add some festive flair to their puzzling presence.

Stay tuned for updates, and feel free to share your thoughts or theories—because when it comes to these drones, anything seems possible.

TIME makes the call: Trump as person

Time magazine’s ninety seven.Your tradition continues this year the magazine’s person of the year is Donald Trump..

    Sam Jacob’s from TIME explains,

Trump has remade American politics in the process. He won by enlarging his base, seizing the frustration over rising prices and benefiting from a global turn against incumbents. With those tailwinds, exit polls suggest that he won the largest percentage of Black Americans for a Republican since Gerald Ford and the most Latino voters of any GOP nominee since George W. Bush. Suburban women, whose anger over restrictions to reproductive rights was thought to be a bulwark for the Democrats, moved not away but toward him. He became the first Republican in 20 years to win more votes than the Democrat, with 9 of 10 American counties increasing their support for Trump from 2020.

    ‘Hot’ Luigi and his 286

The number 286 has surfaced in multiple contexts related to Luigi Mangione, the accused CEO killer..

There is tye Pokémon Reference: Mangione’s social media featured Breloom, a Pokémon assigned number 286 in the Pokédex.

We have social Media Activity: His X (formerly Twitter) account reportedly had exactly 286 posts.

Of course nothing without religion… Biblical Connection: Some observers link the number to Proverbs 28:6, which states, “Better is a poor man who walks in his integrity than a rich man who is crooked in his ways.”

Healthcare Denial Code: In medical billing, denial code 286 indicates a claim rejected due to untimely appeal filing.

These instances suggest that Mangione may have intentionally embedded the number 286 across various platforms, possibly to convey specific messages or symbolism.

But love is in the air…

Whether it’s purposeful or just coincidental, is yet to be determined, but what definitely is purposeful. Is the internet’s love of the newest obsession: The hot assassin. Their words not ours.

You can read the rationale on the American obsession and love interest here.

Secrets of Luigi’s mansion and fake Youtube videos

We all thought we were thrust into an episode of Black Mirror yesterday, Luigi Mangione, the accused killer of the United Healthcare CEO New York City was apprehended in Altoona, Pennsylvania, at a corporate McDonald’s no less.

After his arrest, the internet became alive and swelled with rumors because A YouTube account purported to be from Luigi posted a video.. the video said by now he was  arrested. People were creeped out and freaked out at the timing, and wondering how Luigi would have been able to autoset a video while being arrested at the fast food joint in the small town…

There’s a simple answer. He did not.

The video is from a YouTube account that was created yesterday and wad acting as Luigi by using pictures from his X account.

The Youtube account name also does not match Luigi’s X handle. This video was fabricated and not posted by Luigi himself.

So despite this folklore that has been created, it’s not true.

And guess what? Remember when the media reported that he was flirting, and that’s why he took his mask down at the hostel. Chances are that’s not true either. As a matter of fact, what’s probably more likely is that the worker had him take his mask down so they can check his facial recognition to match his ID.

We live in the era of instant reporting along with instant refuse and rumors being treated as true.
