    At a Netflix presentation of the streaming giant’s 2025 slate for press on Wednesday, “Stranger Things” creators Ross and Matt Duffer revealed that in 2026 they will be executive producing two new shows, titled “The Boroughs” and “Something Very Bad is Going to Happen,” both of which “encompass what we feel is at the core of ‘Stranger Things,’” according to Ross Duffer – “they’re stories about ordinary people who encounter the extraordinary.”

    Matt Duffer added that “The Boroughs” “probably shares the most DNA with ‘Stranger Things’ because it’s about a group of misfits who fight an otherworldly evil.”

    “Only unlike ‘Stranger Things,’ it’s set in a retirement community, so that’s something different,” he quipped. “This time our misfits are a little on the older side. They ride golf carts, not bikes,” he said, in reference to the young characters in “Stranger Things” who ride their bicycles around Hawkins, Indiana.

    With how long we have waited for season 5 of STRANGER THINGS, the Duffers may as well just use the current cast!

    Netflix’s reveal for Stranger Things 5 has fans excited.. While the release date for the highly anticipated final season has yet to be confirmed, speculation is running rampant that it will drop in October or November 2025.

    Adding fuel to the excitement, Netflix’s official X accounte shared a black-and-white missing person flyer featuring Jane Hopper (aka Eleven). The cryptic advertisement teases that fans aren’t ready for what’s coming in Stranger Things 5.

    The flyer raises several questions: Who’s really looking for Eleven? Is she actually missing, or is this just another layer of the show’s supernatural mystery? The document includes a real phone number that fans can dial, making this an interactive way to dive into the world of Stranger Things.

    If you call 765-303-2020, you’ll be connected to a pre-recorded message from the Hawkins Police Department. The message, though slightly garbled (perhaps to fit the ‘80s aesthetic), provides chilling insight into the town’s current state.

    Here’s exactly what you’ll hear when calling the number:

    “Thank you for contacting the Hawkins Police Department. Due to the recent 7.4 magnitude earthquake, Hawkins is currently under lock down to ensure the safety of our residents.     The loss of life alone is heartbreaking, but what makes this even more painful is the presence of figure skaters on board—both professionals and young athletes, children who dedicated their lives to their sport. Among the 64 souls now in the Potomac, their dreams and futures were stolen in an instant.

    As the sun rises of the recovery mission,  the desperate search begins.

    Update on the Washington, D.C. Plane Crash

    Authorities have confirmed fatalities following the tragic collision between American Airlines Flight 5342 and a helicopter over the waters near Washington, D.C.

    Rescuers have yet to recover any survivors from the scene..

    The aircraft, which departed from Wichita, Kansas, is in pieces in the water, with the helicopter nearby.

    Three US soldiers were on board the helicopter..

    Airport officials have announced that the airport will remain closed until at least 11 a.m. ET on Thursday as emergency crews continue recovery and investigation efforts.

    Among those on board the flight were several members of the figure skating community, according to a statement from US Figure Skating and reports from Russian state media.

    President Donald Trump reacted to the crash on social media, calling it “a bad situation that looks like it should have been prevented.” However, it is unclear if his remarks were based on an official briefing.
