    Ending the year with #Fogvid24

As we close out another year, it seems we’re once again diving into an online frenzy of conspiracy chatter. This time, it revolves around reports of a peculiar weather anomaly affecting various parts of the globe.

    The Mysterious Fog.. across Earth.

Thick fog has blanketed Ireland and other parts of the United Kingdom, while several states in the United States have also reported strange, dense fog formations. Florida, in particular, has allegedly been shrouded in this fog for weeks, leading some to dub it a “perpetual victim.” These reports have sparked widespread curiosity, with some dismissing it as a seasonal occurrence, while others dive deeper into speculative theories.

Here’s some fun speculation on a Reddit thread.

While meteorologists note that fog formations like these are not uncommon during certain times of the year due to specific atmospheric conditions, the sheer consistency and unusual behavior of this year’s fog have caught attention.

The phenomenon seems to extend beyond the United States and the UK, with reports of persistent fog cropping up in other parts of the world. And that is what makes it more peculiar as it just seems to be a sudden global phenomenon

The Conspiracy: “Chemical Fogs” and Illness..

Here’s where things go down a rabbit hole.

Adding fuel to the fire are claims linking these fog formations to a mysterious wave of illnesses. On X and other social media, people have reported experiencing sudden cold or flu-like symptoms shortly after brief exposure to what some are calling “chemical fogs.” These fogs are described as unusually thick and lingering, sparking suspicion and fear.

Also, being flu season probably assists with those flu claims.

Some conspiracy theorists have coined the term “Fogvid-24” to describe this phenomenon. Those allegedly affected report symptoms such as:

Severe fatigue or unexplained loss of energy.

Coughing, sneezing, and other respiratory issues.

A sensation of general malaise that seems to appear without warning, claims say.

Fog is a natural weather phenomenon often caused by temperature inversions, high humidity, and calm winds. In areas like Florida, where warm ocean currents collide with cooler air masses, fog can linger for extended periods.

Health experts also emphasize that cold and flu-like symptoms are common during the winter months and are likely coincidental rather than a direct result of the fog itself.

But until then it’s fogvid24. What an ending..

  • Milton the devil

    Milton the devil

People watching satellite imagery of Hurricane Milton last night, we’re confronted briefly with what appeared to be a demonic scowl looking back.

The series of satellite images posted on several different message boards in Facebook pages have found common ground amongst observers. It looks like a face, and it looks evil as hell.

All the preparation work, hopefully, is now done, and those who could have evacuated and should have evacuated have done so.

Let’s all hope for the safety and security of those in the path of this storm. Along with them, for those in the path of any storm surge and for any cleanup crews and official workers who will be tending to human needs in the immediate aftermath of the storm.we know a fierce brigade of lineman will be there. Government trailers will be set up.

But what’s very upsetting is knowing the lifetime of memories in homes that will be washed away, but even worse, the lives themselves that will be affected.

May God have mercy on Florida.

  • Hurricane Milton becomes a Category 5 storm

Hurricane Milton becomes a Category 5 storm

With winds of 160 mph, Milton has strengthened into the second Category 5 hurricane of the 2024 Atlantic hurricane season. Hurricane Beryl was the first storm to reach Category 5 status, doing so while it was traversing the Caribbean Sea in early July.

Milton was only a tropical storm on Sunday morning, but winds ramped up at a tremendous pace, spiking from 60 mph to 160 mph in just 28 hours. Additionally, an abundance of lighting has been flashing around the eye of Milton, an indication that it could still be strengthening.

Milton the miserable: Storm explodes in strength

Hurricane Milton is rapidly intensifying and will strengthen further over the record-warm Gulf of Mexico, potentially to Category 5…

It is then expected to grow in size, which means that although it may decrease in category, its dangerous impacts will be spread over a much larger area.

Milton is forecast to make landfall on Florida’s Gulf Coast on Wednesday. Its dangerous eye and eyewall could come ashore anywhere from Cedar Key at the north to Naples at the south – including possibly in the Tampa or Ft. Myers areas.

    Developing..

For anyone reading this in the path: Take advice, heat advice and get out now if you can. This storm is epic in nature and historic In ramifications.

  • Milton born

    Milton born

Tropical Storm Milton has formed and is forecast to strike the Florida Gulf Coast as a significant hurricane by the middle of the week.

People there should prepare for significant impacts, especially those hit hard recently by Hurricane Helene.

Let’s hope and pray this storm doesn’t reach a high degree of rapid intensification as it is not absolutely not what this area of the nation needs attain time.

  • Hurricane Helene– 1958

    Hurricane Helene– 1958

Not trying to make something more out of something.. but can we at least say this is weird?

Hurricane Helene in 1958 matched about perfectly to what occurred now–even the date.

    Weird..

    Meanwhile.

Dennis Phillips, meteorologists from Florida, took to Facebook to say that he had never seen any numbers like this before. The flooding in Tampa is unbelievable and an appointed moment. He asked, “Is everyone okay?”

The current almost 4000 comments clearly show the people are not. There are comments on people’s houses flooded. People who can swim in their living rooms. Devastation, all across the Gulf coast from Hurricane Helene.

The storm sounds absolutely undeniably horrible. These were the stories that we all dreaded hearing after this event, and it sounds like we’re going to hear quite a number of them.

A major hurricane is poised to make a quick landfall in the United States Thursday

This will be “a large storm with life-threatening impacts” hundreds of miles away from where it makes landfall

  • Antarctica is having a ‘heat wave’

Antarctica is having a ‘heat wave’

    Headlines blare: Antarctica is HOT!

A heat wave in Antarctica does not mean the same as other places.. The latest data shows high temperatures in portions of East Antarctica – where the most abnormal conditions are ongoing – that are typically between minus 58 and minus 76 degrees Fahrenheit are now closer to minus 13 to minus 22 degrees Fahrenheit..
There is alarm.. but it does happen..

The set of atmospheric conditions largely responsible for the ongoing heat wave – a breakdown of the southern polar vortex – is only expected to occur once every two decades on average, according to Bracegirdle.

“This is a very unusual event, from that perspective,” Thomas Bracegirdle, deputy science leader for the British Antarctic Survey’s Atmosphere, Ice and Climate team, said.

There is a lot of panic being reported on this.. But just breathe in the cold hot air for a moment. These temperatures actually match, just about exact, to press reported back in June 1934, 90 years ago now.. this clipping from the Hugo Daily News in Oklahoma memorialized for the records:

Here is an AP dispatch from August 12, 1977:

However, this newest heat wave brings caution.. it is the 2nd extreme heat wave in 3 years ago and it is a long duration event..

  • Summer dead heat

    Summer dead heat

It has been hot before.. a review of newspaper headlines from decades past reveal that we have had heat waves in June. but when they happen, and when they happen so early especially, they feel brutal.

They also always remind me of the Frank Miller BATMAN comic, especially this piece of art of a hot and steamy Gotham City baking in a summer heat wave.

The art pictures Gotham’s magnificent twin towers in 97 degree heat.. No relief was on the way. As a matter of fact, later that day the Joker was going to do much more damage on the “David Endochrine Show” …

    Heat.. Hot.. hotter..

It is like staring down a barrel of a constant stream of oppressive heat..

Days like today feel like the midnight sun from the Twilight Zone is really happening..
