According to his writings, tens of thousands of people across the world are now being known as long haulers. They are people who still report sometimes debilitating symptoms long after the “recovery“ from Covid..
We are not trying to raise any undue alarms here, but this story does seem to be worth paying attention to. There are countless articles of those who have had Covid still stating that they have yet to regain taste and smell months if not now years after recovering.
Along with that, a recent study actually compared brain deterioration in Covid patients to those who have early onset of dementia. That seems to be pretty alarming right?
Yong now says that the planet is about to have a “mass disability event”..
He basically says that some will recover but others will be disabled for the foreseeable future.

Covid cases increasing at China Olympic village
The cases among Olympics-related personnel were up from 21 a day earlier while cases in the bubble that restricts the movements of Games participants, reached 19, compared with seven a day earlier.
Feb. 2 saw the highest daily figure in the loop so far with 26 and the highest total daily figure with 55.
Games organisers said that while cases within the loop could continue rising, there was no reason for concern.

Friday night mass shooting near Virginia Tech at hookah lounge in Blacksburg
A number of people were wounded during a shooting that took place late Friday night at a bar near Virginia Tech in downtown Blacksburg.
Shots rang out a block from the university’s campus at the Melody Hookah Lounge a few minutes before midnight Friday, according to a statement from Blacksburg Police.
Multiple people were taken to a local hospital, police said.

NASA Announces death of the International Space Station in 2031!!
NASA says it plans to retire the International Space Station in 2031 by crashing it into an uninhabited stretch of the Pacific Ocean. Phil McAlister, director of commercial space at NASA Headquarters, said in a press release that the private sector will be taking the lead on the development of future space station projects and that NASA will help ensure a smooth transition.
“The private sector is technically and financially capable of developing and operating commercial low-Earth orbit destinations, with NASA’s assistance,” he said. “We look forward to sharing our lessons learned and operations experience with the private sector to help them develop safe, reliable, and cost-effective destinations in space.”

WHO’S THAT JOKER?
As we gear up for the 3 hour slightly horrific THE BATMAN movie coming out in just a few weeks, we were sent this image by someone who also is a Batman fan: It is a series of images of the JOKER from the 1940s original to the modern day 2021..
We are hardpressed to say that any JOKER since 2003 has been as cool as ALL of the Jokers prior to that time frame.. Especially amazing, of course, is the Mark Hammil voiced Joker from the 1993 animated show..
But the BEST of all, in our opinion, is that lifeless original 1940 clown prince of crime.. haphazardly glazed over eyes.. vacant smile.. Lifeless corpse like face.
THE BATMAN will feature the Riddler in a true crime-esque script.. That should be cool.
But that JOKER just remains the constant perfect villain in all of comic history.

Dead scoops: Judges walk off MASKED SINGER after Giuliani unmasked!!
Two judges reportedly walked off the stage in protest after Trump lawyer Rudy Giuliani was unmasked as an exiting costumed contestant during a recent taping of Fox’s The Masked Singer.
“Deadline hears that as soon as they saw Giuliani, judges Ken Jeong and Robin Thicke quickly left the stage in protest,” the site reported Wednesday night. “Deadline hears that while Jeong and Thicke exited (they eventually returned), fellow judges Jenny McCarthy and Nicole Scherzinger remained onstage.

The AP reports: Athletes and team officials are testing positive for COVID-19 at much higher rates than other people arriving in China for the Beijing Olympics, organizers said Tuesday.
Figures released by local organizers showed 11 positive tests for COVID-19 among 379 athletes and officials arriving Monday. They have been taken into isolation hotels to limit the spread of the infection and could miss their events.
The positive test rate of 2.9% for athletes and officials compared to 0.66% for Olympic “stakeholders,” a group which includes workers and media, in the same period. There were 1,059 people in that category.

AP reports on ‘All-out effort’ to keep Biden COVID-free
When President Joe Biden met with U.S. governors at the White House on Monday, he was the only one given a glass of water — lest anyone else remove their mask to take a drink.
The president was seated more than 10 feet from everyone, including Vice President Kamala Harris and members of his Cabinet.
A White House staffer who was wearing a surgical mask when Biden entered the room was quickly handed an N95 version.
These are just some of the extraordinary efforts on the part of the White House to keep the president from getting COVID-19, even though he’s gotten both of his regular vaccinations and his booster.
