Slow motion horror continues to unfold in Texas after flooding

The heartbreak continues in the Lonestar state ..

At least 161 people remained missing in Kerr County, the place hit hardest by devastating floods that swept through Texas’ Hill Country five days ago, Gov. Greg Abbott said on Tuesday, as the slim hopes of finding survivors continued to fade.

161 people in one county.. alone..

The number of missing cited by the governor — the first time an official had identified the scale of the recovery operation still ahead — suggested the death toll of 111 could more than double as searchers continue to find bodies.

Officials in Kerr County acknowledged that no one had been found alive there since Friday.

Two days before the flooding: A Texas state inspector visited the youth camp and certified that it had an emergency plan in place and that its cabins and other buildings were safe, records obtained by CNN show.

The inspector with the Texas Department of State Health Services confirmed on July 2 that the Christian camp on the banks of the Guadalupe River had a state-mandated plan “for emergency shelter and for evacuation” in case of a disaster.

Adding intrigue not being reported on your late local news or networks: The CEO of a weather modification technology company has confirmed that cloud seeding operations took place in Texas just two days before the deadly central Texas flood occurred. NBC News reported that Augustus Doricko, the CEO of Rainmaker, a weather modification company, said that planes had released silver iodide in the atmosphere in Texas two days prior to the fatal floods that have claimed over 100 lives.

Doricko claims the cloud seeding operations did not cause the flooding in Texas..

  • Will negative reviews be Kryptonite for SUPERMAN?

Will negative reviews be Kryptonite for SUPERMAN?

This week, James Gunn’s much-hyped Superman movie premieres and with it comes a swirl of speculation, drama, and one massive oopsie.

From the moment Gunn announced his take on the Man of Steel, fans have wondered just how political this Superman would be. Gunn hasn’t exactly dodged the question either. He’s said outright that the film will contain political elements, and in today’s fiercely polarized environment, that’s enough to set off alarm bells for both fans and detractors.

Despite the anticipation, no official reviews have dropped yet. That’s because of a strict press embargo… well, mostly.

In what might go down as the Kryptonian Leak Heard ’Round the World, The Daily Beast accidentally published its full review a whopping five days early. And it wasn’t exactly glowing. The headline?

“The Terrible New ‘Superman’ Movie Is the Final Nail in the Grave for the Superhero Genre.”

    Whoopsie poopsie.

The article was taken down within five minutes, but the internet doesn’t forget—and screenshots were everywhere within seconds. Warner Bros.’ PR team has been scrambling ever since, not only because the embargo was broken, but because it was broken with a fatal headline punch to the jaw.

Talk about bad timing for a movie that’s already under a microscope.

Now, Gunn and Warner Bros. are hoping that audience excitement—and perhaps some glowing word-of-mouth—can help the film deflect those early rays of criticism. Gunn has said the movie doesn’t need to hit $700 million to be considered a success. But considering its hefty budget and the fact that superhero fatigue is real (unless you’re a dinosaur—Jurassic World: Dominion roared back to life last weekend), some insiders are skeptical.

Will Superman soar—or will those early leaked reviews prove to be its kryptonite at the box office?

  • This is a ‘stranger thing’ that will chalk up to the believe it when you see it.

This is a ‘stranger thing’ that will chalk up to the believe it when you see it.

Stranger Things fans, hold onto your Eggos !  A user on Reddit may have just spilled the demodogs on the upcoming Season 5 trailer.

The post, which appeared about six days ago before being mysteriously removed by moderators, came from a user with a solid track record. They previously leaked correct teaser details and release date hints for the final season — which gives this latest drop some added weight.

Here’s what the Reddit leak claimed:

The Stranger Things 5 trailer is reportedly 2 minutes plus in length..

It’s expected to drop sometime this month — with speculation pointing to July 15. That’s not just a random guess either; July 15 marks the anniversary of the show’s debut on Netflix back in 2016.

Since then, the post has been taken down, which only fuels the theory that it may have revealed too much.

So… what might be in the trailer?

Warning: Spoilers ahead — or maybe not, depending on if this is real or a very elaborate fan fiction. Read at your own risk.

    Reported highlights include:

The return of the big mysterious wall from the teaser and a military base, which will supposedly play a major role this season.

Vecna returns through a new portal inside the military base.

A new character, possibly named Derek, is introduced.

Nancy Wheeler is seen washing blood off her hands (very Lady Macbeth vibes).

Eleven and Mike share a scene, with Eleven wearing a wetsuit — much like the ones she wore while entering the Void in earlier seasons.

Karen Wheeler and little Holly are hiding in a bathtub, likely from a Demogorgon.

Sadly, no word on Barb. Still. Honestly, for the final season, a mega-reunion of all the characters we’ve lost along the way would be the kind of fan service that Netflix should strongly consider. (Justice for Bob, anyone?)

So is this the real deal? Or just another Upside Down fever dream?

Time will tell. The clock is ticking toward the show’s premiere, and whether or not this Reddit leaker is right, we’ll find out soon enough. One thing’s for sure: the hype for Season 5 is real, and Stranger Things fans are ready to go deeper into the darkness one final time.

Time will tell.. upside down and all.

  • Stressing about the Schumann, resonance, or are we just stressing?

Stressing about the Schumann, resonance, or are we just stressing?

Over the past week, I’ve been listening to more and more chatter about something that’s quietly humming beneath the surface of our world — the Schumann Resonance. And if you’re like me, maybe you’ve been hearing about it too, whether in passing, through podcasts, or late-night rabbit holes on YouTube. But lately, it’s been more than just background noise.

Followers of the Schumann Resonance — that mysterious, low-frequency electromagnetic pulse generated in the space between the Earth’s surface and the ionosphere — have reported a week of chaos. Sudden spikes, strange lulls, and what can only be described as maniacal fluctuations in this frequency have left people wondering if the Earth itself is trying to tell us something… or maybe just short-circuiting.

And let me be honest — I’ve had some of the worst nights of sleep in recent memory. One particular night? Barely three hours of sleep, followed by an 18-hour stretch of wired wakefulness. No nap. No rest. Just a bizarre, buzzing energy. And I’m not alone — plenty of others are saying the same. Restless nights. Weird dreams. Strange tingling sensations. A general unease you can’t quite place.

Could it really bWe the Schumann Resonance?

Scientists are split. Some claim it’s pseudoscience — that it has no effect on the human body. Others believe these natural frequencies may, in fact, interact with our brainwaves, moods, and even our nervous systems. What is certain is that the Schumann Resonance is real, measurable, and it is changing — sometimes dramatically.

So what do we do with this information?

Maybe it’s just stress. Maybe it’s aging. Or maybe… just maybe… it’s the Earth’s frequency shifting and vibrating in ways we don’t fully understand yet. The jury’s still out — but if you’ve been feeling off lately, you’re not imagining things. And if your sleep feels like it’s been hijacked by some unseen frequency, well… maybe it has.

Have you noticed anything strange lately — in your sleep, your mood, your body? Drop a comment. I’d love to hear if anyone else is riding this same bizarre wave.

  • Heartbreaking Texas flooding death toll emerges

Heartbreaking Texas flooding death toll emerges

    (story image AP Photo/Julio Cortez)

The UK DAILY MAIL is exclusively reporting Sunday night: Texas death toll from flooding will top 100..

Texas‘s Division of Emergency Management predicted the number of dead as a result of catastrophic flooding in Kerrville on July 4 would top 100, Daily Mail can exclusively reveal.

In an email sent out Saturday, the state disaster office told partners the number of dead would surpass 100, two different sources confirmed to Daily Mail.

The estimate of the dead is vastly different than the message state officials are projecting publicly, insisting that they are still searching for people who are alive, and refusing to say rescue efforts have shifted to recovery of remains.

There are images now being circulated by family of deceased.. the heartbreak is especially poignant as young children from Camp Mystic remain missing..

Heavy rains and flooding remained a threat Sunday as the rescue efforts turned into a bitter recovery campaign of bodies in wreckage that was taken down river as the wall of water destroyed land..

Texas Gov. Greg Abbott warns that flash flooding could still pose a danger for some regions over the next few days as “more heavy rainfall” is expected.

Heavy rainfall could lead to flash flooding in the Big Country, Concho Valley, Central Texas and again in the City of Kerrville, where a majority of the destruction has been reported, Abbott said during a news conference today..

Debate is raging as to whether federal forecasters did not do enough to warn..

Local officials have shifted the blame to the NWS, claiming the agency cost people lives.

Texas Emergency Management Chief W. Nim Kidd said the amount of rain that slammed the Hill Country and Concho Valley was drastically underestimated.

Dalton Rice, the city manager for Kerrville, Texas, said that communities were under prepared for the sheer amount of rainfall.

President Trump, who has called for the Federal Emergency Management Agency to be eliminated, deflected questions about the future of the agency on Sunday, just hours after he signed an emergency declaration directing federal resources to Texas. “FEMA is something we can talk about later, but right now they’re busy working so we’ll leave it at that,” he told reporters in New Jersey before flying back to Washington…

  • Ozzy Osbourne’s last show on earth

Ozzy Osbourne’s last show on earth

It was the ultimate farewell, not just to the stage, but perhaps to us, the fans, who have followed him through decades of darkness, madness, and heavy metal glory.

On an emotional night in Birmingham, Ozzy Osbourne performed with Black Sabbath for what is now confirmed to be the final time ever.

This wasn’t just a concert. It was a memorial in real time and not for someone who has passed, but for a living legend whose health struggles are slowly dimming the spotlight around him. In his late 70s and facing advanced Parkinson’s disease, Ozzy appeared on stage seated on what looked like a gothic throne. Some speculate it may have actually been a disguised wheelchair — a stark reminder of his frailty, and the toll life has taken on the Prince of Darkness.

But make no mistake: the fire is still there. Joined by his iconic bandmates, Ozzy delivered five unforgettable songs .. it was not with the same erratic and chaotic energy of his youth, but with the weight of a man who knew exactly what this night meant.

There were appearances by Dolly Parton, Axl Rose, Metallica, and even Ricky Gervais. It was a surreal, star-studded celebration of a man who defied death more than once and shaped the very DNA of rock music.

Yet it was the haunting performance of “Mama, I’m Coming Home” that seemed to seal the night’s fate. The lyrics, sung with quivering power, felt less like a song and more like a goodbye — not just to his career, but to this world. The atmosphere shifted. The crowd knew. This was it.

There were no bats, no theatrics. Just Ozzy. Real. Vulnerable. Human.

The man who once howled at the moon gave us a final howl of truth .. one that seemed to say: I’m still here… but not for long.

    The show is over.
    The curtain has closed.

  • The Guadalupe River Disaster: A Rising Wall of Water and a Nation in Shock

The Guadalupe River Disaster: A Rising Wall of Water and a Nation in Shock

In the last 24 hours, something truly heartbreaking unfolded in Texas. The Guadalupe River rose with terrifying speed and force, sending a 20-foot wall of water surging through communities. Homes, vehicles, memories—all swept away. But worst of all, lives were lost, including those of innocent children, and many remain missing. Across the nation, hearts are heavy. The emotional weight of this tragedy has cast a somber shadow over the American spirit this summer.

The situation is not just devastating it is also deeply unsettling. How did it happen so fast? How did something so deadly catch so many off guard?

Some officials in Texas are pointing fingers at the National Weather Service, claiming that forecasts failed to reflect the severity of the storm.

While flash flooding and heavy rain were predicted, no one expected rainfall amounts reaching up to 12 inches per hour, nor the river rising as dramatically as it did.

We’ve all experienced moments when weather forecasts predict a monstrous storm or blizzard that never materializes. People laugh it off and say the forecasters were “crying wolf.”

Over the last decade, NWS alerts have become increasingly intense—especially during hurricane season—with messaging that reads like a Stephen King horror novel: evacuate now or risk certain death.

But this time in Texas, the opposite happened. There were no apocalyptic warnings. No sirens of doom. Just a sudden, overwhelming catastrophe.

Should forecasters be held more accountable? Is there a future where weather services face civil or even criminal liability when disasters strike without sufficient warning? They are some interesting questions..

To be fair, weather forecasting is not an exact science.

Despite our reliance on computer models and sophisticated algorithms, there’s still human judgment involved by choosing between models, patterns, and trying to predict the correct algorithm that guesses tomorrow’s temps.

Still, when you look at the radar imagery of how this storm formed, it feels almost unnatural. Some say it fuels belief in weather modification and geo-engineering conspiracies—and while that’s a rabbit hole of its own, it’s easy to understand why people are searching for explanations when faced with such chaos.

It was the remnants of Tropical Storm Barry.. it clearly was more juiced up and packed more of a tremendous punch than forecasters foresaw..

Flooding in Texas was linked to the convergence of two tropical moisture plumes, one from the eastern Pacific & another from the Gulf. This produced near-record high atmospheric moisture. Global precipitable water levels have been running 3rd-highest on record in recent months.

And even today, it continues with more dire warnings being issued now..

Kerr County Sheriff Larry Leitha said Saturday the death toll includes 18 adults and nine children so far. Rescue crews have saved 850 uninjured people and another eight with injuries in addition to finding 27 bodies… THE NEXT SEVERAL DAYS ARE GOING TO BE HEARTBREAKING..

New flooding was reported along the San Gabriel River, the Brazos River, and Burnet County, all on the north and west sides of Austin… DEVELOPING..

Back in the late 1990s, Art Bell and Whitley Strieber warned of the “quickening” and the coming global superstorm. Their book inspired the 2004 movie The Day After Tomorrow.

It’s now 2025, and while Al Gore’s forecasts of imminent planetary collapse didn’t unfold exactly as predicted, there’s no denying something is off about the weather.

    Something feels different.

And maybe it has been for a long time.

What makes it more troubling is that we probably can’t do a thing about it even if we tried..

It is painfully clear is that people in Texas are suffering deeply right now.

Let’s offer them more than just thoughts, let’s give them our compassion, our support, and our prayers.

🙏 Pray for the families who lost loved ones.
🙏 Pray for those still searching for missing children.
🙏 Pray for the wounded—physically and emotionally.
🙏 And may God have mercy on them all.

And watch for real and true ways to donate and help.

  • Horror Is Saving the Box Office—Whether Hollywood Likes It or Not

Horror Is Saving the Box Office—Whether Hollywood Likes It or Not

Let’s face it: horror movies almost never win Oscars. In fact, they’re the black sheep of the film industry—looked down on, snubbed by critics, and ignored during awards season. But here’s the twist: vampires, zombies, and masked killers might just be keeping Hollywood alive.

According to Reuters, horror is crushing it at the box office. In fact, horror films now account for 17% of North American ticket sales, up from 11% in 2024 and just 4% a decade ago. That’s a massive leap—especially at a time when even Marvel movies are losing their sparkle and blockbusters are struggling to find footing.

Sure, horror flicks might only enjoy a week or two of dominance before fading from the marquee—but they bring in money. Real money. Just look at the numbers: even modestly budgeted horror films like M3GAN and its upcoming sequel rake in returns. And now, with Five Nights at Freddy’s II on the horizon, Blumhouse is reportedly betting big on another hit to rescue their financial year.

Let’s not forget: horror has always been the genre the so-called “serious” critics roll their eyes at. But those same critics might owe their careers—and their fancy premieres—to the very genre they dismiss. Without horror keeping theaters afloat, where would people even go to watch those “Oscar-worthy” art films?

So here’s to horror: the genre that fills seats, pays the bills, and keeps the popcorn popping.

    Long live the monsters.
    Let the vampires bite.
And may the zombies keep on rolling.
