23andMe.. the brink of ba kruotxy.

So what will happen to all of your genetic information then?

    The Activist Post with more:

Since it was founded nearly two decades ago, 23andMe has grown into one of the largest biotechnology companies in the world. Millions of people have used its simple genetic testing service, which involves ordering a saliva test, spitting into a tube, and sending it back to the company for a detailed DNA analysis.

But now the company is on the brink of bankruptcy. This has raised concerns about what will happen to the troves of genetic data it has in its possession.

The company’s chief executive, Anne Wojcicki, has said she is committed to customer privacy and will “maintain our current privacy policy”.

  • Scientists are deploying seismic monitors to Mt Adams

Scientists are deploying seismic monitors to Mt Adams

Scientists have issued a statement following a spike in seismic activity at Mount Adams in central Washington

The volcano usually sees an earthquake every two or three years. There were six in September 2024 alone, the most in a single month since monitoring began in 1982.

An eruption of Mount Adams in Washington State could pose significant dangers due to its size, location, and geological characteristics. As one of the largest volcanoes in the Cascade Range, its eruption could trigger massive lahars—volcanic mudflows—caused by the rapid melting of glaciers on its slopes, threatening nearby communities, roads, and ecosystems.

While Mount Adams tends to produce less explosive eruptions compared to Mount St. Helens, the potential for lava flows, ashfall, and landslides still exists, which could devastate infrastructure, forests, and farmland in the surrounding areas.

Additionally, an eruption could trigger wildfires, especially in dry conditions, further compounding the risk to human life and property. Given its proximity to populated areas and vital resources, an eruption would require extensive emergency response and mitigation efforts to protect lives and reduce damage.

Drink before the war part 2

On June 17th, we and many others reported on a man being hailed as the modern Nostradamus, who predicted the start of World War III. The very next day, on the date he specified, Russian President Vladimir Putin visited North Korea.

And now we have this earthly develop just days after:

Russia said on Sunday that the United States was responsible for a Ukrainian attack on the Russian-annexed Crimean peninsula with five U.S.-supplied missiles that killed four people, including two children, and injured 151 more.

The Russian Defence Ministry said four of the U.S.-delivered Army Tactical Missile System (ATACMS) missiles, equipped with cluster warheads, were shot down by air defence systems and the ammunition of a fifth had detonated in mid-air.

The great American noclipse: Forecasts for cloudy skies cast shadow over North American solar eclipse

Think of this.. the sunbelt will be cloudy and the cloudiest state in April–maine–set to have 100% clear skies with the best viewing of the eclipse. Funny how fate and life work out.

Much of Texas, considered prime eclipse-viewing territory by many traveling there for the occasion, was predicted in forecast models on Friday to have cloud cover of 60%-80% on eclipse day.

Parts of northern New England, by comparison, looked far more promising. The probability for clear skies was also improving across the middle Mississippi Valley and western Ohio Valley, including Indianapolis, according to the National Weather Service.

“I’m pretty disappointed,” Gary Fine, 81, a retired photographer from Los Angeles who booked air fare and hotel reservations for Dallas several months ago, said on Friday as packed for his trip

  • Eerie timing: It was just the anniversary of the Francis Scott Key bridge opening for traffic in 1977

Eerie timing: It was just the anniversary of the Francis Scott Key bridge opening for traffic in 1977

The timing of this Maryland Transportation Authority post was 3 days before the Francis Scott Key Bridge was hit by a boat and collapsed..

Three days ago it was mentioned that it was the anniversary of the bridge being opened for traffic in 1977..

The historical reminder post also mentions that the bridge stood in just about the exact same place where Francis Scott Key repeatedly saw the military bombardment that inspired  him to write the Star Spangled Banner..

Videos of the event are exceptionally sad and scary. Those who lost their lives never saw it coming. Those who narrowly missed death undoubtedly  have a renewed fear or a new fear that they did not previously have.

It is like Final Destination.. in real life.

May those who died rest in peace ..
