Lebanon plunges into total darkness as ENTIRE country without light, heat or energy in mass blackout amid fuel crisis
The state electricity company confirmed the country’s two main power plants have run out of fuel as it has struggled to import enough oil.
State electricity in most places is barely available for an hour a day amid rolling power cuts.
And meanwhile, the fuel needed to power private back-up generators is also in short supply.

Massive quake in Haiti—thousands are feared dead
This is a developing story..
A 7.0 magnitude earthquake struck off the coast of Haiti on Saturday, the U.S. Geological Survey said.
The epicenter of the quake was 12 kilometers (7.5 miles) northeast of Saint-Louis du Sud, according to the survey.
People in the capital of Port-au-Prince felt the tremor and many rushed into the streets in fear.
Naomi Verneus, a 34-year-old resident of Port-au-Prince, said she was jolted awake by the earthquake and that her bed was shaking.
“I woke up and didn’t have time to put my shoes on. We lived the 2010 earthquake and all I could do was run. I later remembered my two kids and my mother were still inside. My neighbor went in and told them to get out. We ran to the street,” Verneus said.

Following Saturday’s quake, the US Geological Survey (USGS) estimated there was a 35 per cent chance of fatalities ranging between 1,000 and 10,000, and a 35 per cent chance of economic losses in the tens of millions.
Video clips and photos shared online in the aftermath show severe damage to buildings in the city of Jeremie, about 125 miles west of the capital Port-au-Prince, with rubble falling into the streets and crushing cars.

CAPE COD OUTBREAK INTRIGUE!
Anne Flaherty andArielle Mitropoulos have this information:
A week after the crowds descended upon Provincetown, Massachusetts, to celebrate the Fourth of July — the holiday President Joe Biden hoped would mark the nation’s liberation from COVID-19 — the manager of the Cape Cod beach town said he was aware of “a handful of positive COVID cases among folks” who spent time there. “We are in touch with the Health Department and Outer Cape Health Services and are closely monitoring the data,” Alex Morse told reporters.
The outbreak grew from that point.. Then the situation turned more troubling: A large number of those infected were vaccinated Americans!
MORE!
As of Thursday, 882 people were tied to the Provincetown outbreak. Among those living in Massachusetts, 74% of them were fully immunized, yet officials said the vast majority were also reporting symptoms. Seven people were reported hospitalized.
The initial findings of the investigation led by the Massachusetts Department of Public Health, in conjunction with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, seemed to have huge implications.
MORE FROM ABC:
Delta was known for its “hyper-transmissibility,” or as one former White House adviser put it “COVID on steroids.”
“What has changed is the virus,” said Dr. Anthony Fauci, the nation’s top infectious disease expert and Biden’s chief medical adviser.
When a vaccinated person gets infected with delta — called a “breakthrough infection” — “the level of virus in their nasopharynx is about 1,000 times higher than with the alpha variant,” Fauci said in an interview Wednesday with MSNBC.
And this:
All indications now are that the Provincetown outbreak investigation is among the pieces of new evidence behind the CDC’s decision to ask Americans to once again put on their masks indoors, even if they are vaccinated.

Not crisis level ”yet” .. What happened at the Taishan Nuclear Power in China?
What happened at the Taishan Nuclear Power Plant in Guangdong, China?
Scientists are busy tracking wind movement for a potential cloud of suspicious gas rising from a presumed nuclear power plant incident in China….
MORE..
Scientists are busy tracking wind movement for a potential cloud of suspicious gas rising from a presumed nuclear power plant incident in China. France-based EDF Energy, which partnered with China to build a nuclear power plant to generate electricity for the Guangzhou and Shenzhen areas there, has reached out to the United States for help in dealing with the situation there.
However, official Chinese media outlets are dismissing the seriousness of the situation –or that anything is really wrong. China Guangdong Nuclear Power Group, the entity responsible for the Taishan Nuclear Power Plant, said through state media, The Global Times, that the “nuclear power plant has operated the reactors strictly in compliance with business license documents and technical procedures.” They added that two nuclear reactors at the facility have been operating in line with nuclear safety regulations and the technical requirements of electricity plants.

A French energy company says it is working to resolve a “performance issue” at a nuclear plant in China following claims of a potential leak.
EDF Energy confirmed that gases that had built up in a component of the plant were deliberately released.
A spokesperson said this was because of a fuel rod problem.
“We are not in a scenario of an accident with a melting core,” an EDF spokesman who did not want to be named told AFP news agency.
“We are not talking about contamination, we are talking about controlled emissions.”

TRUE HORROR IN CANADA–this gopes far beyond true crime
Remains of 215 children found at former indigenous school site in Canada
The remains of 215 children, some as young as three years old, were found at the site of a former residential school for indigenous children, a discovery Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau described as heartbreaking on Friday.
The children were students at the Kamloops Indian Residential School in British Columbia that closed in 1978, according to the Tk’emlúps te Secwépemc Nation, which said the remains were found with the help of a ground penetrating radar specialist.
The report documented horrific physical abuse, rape, malnutrition and other atrocities suffered by many of the 150,000 children who attended the schools, typically run by Christian churches on behalf of Ottawa from the 1840s to the 1990s.
It found more than 4,100 children died while attending residential school. The deaths of the 215 children buried in the grounds of what was once Canada’s largest residential school are believed to not have been included in that figure and appear to have been undocumented until the discovery.
Trudeau wrote in a tweet that the news “breaks my heart – it is a painful reminder of that dark and shameful chapter of our country’s history.”

The Havana syndrome getting more attention: Growing mystery of suspected energy attacks draws US concern
The Biden administration is facing new pressure to resolve a mystery that has vexed its predecessors: Is an adversary using a microwave or radio wave weapon to attack the brains of U.S. diplomats, spies and military personnel?
The number of reported cases of possible attack is sharply growing and lawmakers from both parties, as well as those believed to be affected, are demanding answers. But scientists and government officials aren’t yet certain about who might have been behind any attacks, if the symptoms could have been caused inadvertently by surveillance equipment — or if the incidents were actually attacks.
Whatever an official review concludes could have enormous consequences. Confirmation that a U.S. adversary has been conducting damaging attacks against U.S. personnel would unleash calls for a forceful response by the United States.

21 runners dead as extreme weather hits China ultramarathon!
Official news agency Xinhua confirmed that 21 of the 172 participants had died, citing the local rescue command headquarters. The other 151 are now safe, according to state media.
Baiyin city mayor Zhang Xuchen said that at around midday Saturday a section of the rugged ultramarathon course — between kilometres 20 and 31 — was “suddenly affected by disastrous weather”.
“In a short period of time, hailstones and ice rain suddenly fell in the local area, and there were strong winds. The temperature sharply dropped,” Zhang said.

THE EMPEROR HAS NO MASK ON!
Tons of face masks were burned during protests at various state capitols 2020 .. the reaction was shock, awe, and outrage.
Today the CDC said you can ditch the face covering both indoors and outdoors if you are vaccinated..
Let the burnings begin?
The new guidance still calls for wearing masks in crowded indoor settings like buses, planes, hospitals, prisons and homeless shelters, but will help clear the way for reopening workplaces, schools, and other venues — even removing the need for masks or social distancing for those who are fully vaccinated.
The CDC will also no longer recommend that fully vaccinated people wear masks outdoors in crowds. The announcement comes as the CDC and the Biden administration have faced pressure to ease restrictions on fully vaccinated people — people who are two weeks past their last required COVID-19 vaccine dose — in part to highlight the benefits of getting the shot.
Meanwhile the First Lady feels naked!
‘We feel naked,’ the first lady said about not wearing a mask. Then she paused. ‘I didn’t mean it that way!’
