Los Angeles police were dispatched about 5:20 a.m. to the 9000 block of Oak Pass Road and discovered a man who had been removed from the pool and was being treated by paramedics, said Sgt. A. Bone of the Los Angeles Police Department.

More than 5,000 people near Knoxville, Tennessee, have been evacuated after a freight train carrying “highly flammable and toxic gas” derailed and caught fire on Thursday morning.
Seven firefighters have been taken to hospital after breathing in fumes from the blaze, while a 1-mile evacuation zone has been put in place around where the train came off the tracks.

It is not clear what the purpose of the database is.
Employees of the legislative and judicial branches, and uniformed military personnel, were not affected.
There are currently 2.7 million federal executive branch employees – it’s unclear if this affected every single one (plus former employees), or only a portion.
A database…being put together by China.. just as the Obama Administration is set to hand even more private data over to China and other states with a secret trade agreement that the world only is able to read thanks to Wikileaks..

SEPTA Says Commuter Train Hit By Projectile Just Before Amtrak Train Derailed »

SEPTA spokeswoman Jerri Williams says they don’t know what the projectile was. It broke the engineer’s window around 9:25 p.m. Tuesday near SEPTA’s North Philadelphia station. No injuries were reported.
Williams says the Trenton-bound commuter train was stopped and the incident was being investigated when the Amtrak derailment happened about 3½ miles away.
There is no indication, we are told in reports, that this projectile had anything to do with the Amtrak crash in Philadelphia.. But that may not be enough to quell the numerous questions that will arise as this situation develops..
Also, the ‘black boxes’ have been recovered and have been taken to Delaware for investigation, according to JON HURDLE and RICHARD PÉREZ-PEÑA of the NEW YORK TIMES..

The world is paying close attention to the breaking news events taking place in Sydney Australia today.. Several hours ago, a hostage situation developed at a cafe in the city.. A gunman has at least 10 hostages–several have escaped since the high tension began .. Police are said to know the name of the suspect–as do various media sources, but officials are asking the free press to keep a lid on some information for the time being..

At this point, some word has escaped the cafe.. The hostage taker, we have learned, is of Middle Eastern background and has apparently asking for an ISIS flag in exchange for a hostage.. Even more, the man is forcing hostages to stand with their faces and bodies pressed against a glass window of the cafe for several hours at a time.
As nightfall descends on Australia, the gunman and hostages are not in the dark–a hostage reportedly turned off the lights. No doubt by order of the captor..
The White House is updating President Obama on the situation and the United States is offering any help to Australia that may be afforded as this crisis continues into the dark of night..
At this time the situation has been ongoing for 12 hours .. While some ‘in the know’ do in fact know, very little has been disclosed to the masses of people across the planet waiting for something to occur to end this nightmare for those inside..

“There’s no operational reason for that name to be held back by us now,” an anonymous police source told Reuters.
The Iranian-born 50-year-old fled to Australia in 1996, but came to prominence after 2007, when he began sending “hate mail” to families of soldiers, who died while fighting in Iraq.
If the named man is the suspect in this situation, then he comes with a record of ‘peace’ but a reality of problems. He made news back in April of this year as well..

The Philippines has been through other massive typhoons this season.. While the nation is simply prone to such activity due to its location, these storms of 2014 have been frightening.
They are pouring into churches, schools, and other makeshift safe houses. The evacuation that has just occurred in response to the Hagupit has been one of the biggest in peacetime.. While war itself may not have caused the massive people movement, what is about to happen may be as frightening as a battle. Winds will howl and rains will deluge.. The world just prays that those houses of God and ‘safety’ are truly safe during what is about to occur in that nation.
For perspective, this storm–also being called ‘Ruby’ in the homeland it will hit–will be the equivalent of a large and powerful Category 4 hurricane in North American language. ACCUWEATHER is calling for one particular part of the nation to face catastrophic dangers:
