The government is warning about an Iranian drone threat over California and West Coast
FBI warns California law enforcement of potential Iranian drone threat..
More..
The FBI distributed a bulletin warning that Iran had allegedly aspired to launch drone attacks against California targets in retaliation for U.S. military strikes on Iran.
The intelligence indicated UAVs could potentially be launched from a vessel off the West Coast, but officials stressed there was no confirmed information on timing, targets, or perpetrators. A counterterrorism source told the LA Times the threat has “not been deemed credible at this time.”
The warning came just before the U.S. and Israel launched major strikes on Iran on February 28th, killing Supreme Leader Khamenei. Governor Newsom confirmed his office is aware of the intelligence and has directed Cal OES to elevate its security posture and coordinate around the clock with state and federal partners.
Trump, when asked, said he was not worried about Iran-backed attacks on U.S. soil.

The ENTIRE East Wing of the White House now set for demolition
This is certainly a change of plans..
The New York TIMES and other media are reporting tonight that President Trump’s plan to add an expansive ballroom to the White House will mean the demolition of the entire East Wing, which was expected to be fully torn down by this weekend, according to a senior administration official.
Trump had pledged that the East Wing would not be touched by the construction, one of the largest renovations to the building in decades even before the change in plans. Read more ›
This reporting is coming from the Business INSIDER:
As part of a legal settlement reached last month with Trump, Alphabet, which owns YouTube, is contributing $22 million toward Trump’s White House construction plans. Trump sued the tech giant after it suspended his YouTube channel for two years, following the January 6, 2021, Capitol riot.
Images showing demolition work on the East Wing to make way for the ballroom have sparked scrutiny this week and renewed the question over who’s paying for the estimated $250 million, 90,000-square-foot addition.
According to court filings in Oakland, California, Alphabet’s contribution, which accounts for roughly 10% of the total projected cost, will be made on Trump’s behalf to the Trust for the National Mall, a nonprofit entity dedicated to restoring and preserving the National Mall.
“The White House Ballroom is being privately funded by many generous Patriots, Great American Companies, and, yours truly,” Trump said Monday on his social media platform Truth Social.

History made! The daring roberry at Louvre
This is an amazing moment in crime spree history.. Robbers dressed as construction workers just stole priceless relics from history.. IN BROAD DAYLIGHT!
A manhunt is under way after thieves broke into the Louvre and stole “priceless” jewellery that once belonged to Napoleon Bonaparte’s family.
The gang entered the Apollo Gallery in broad daylight shortly after 9.30am, once the gallery had opened to the public, and stole nine items including a necklace, a brooch and a tiara.
The masked criminals arrived on high-powered scooters and reportedly gained access to a part of the building where construction was taking place after using a van-mounted extendable ladder to enter on the Seine River side of the museum.
They then forced open a window, smashed display cases, grabbed the jewellery and left.
Laurent Nuñez, France’s interior minister, called it a “major robbery by a team that had done scouting” and said that jewellery stolen from the museum on Sunday was “priceless”.
And it all took reportedly 7 minutes for it all to occur…
All eyes now on the manhunt…

Massacre in Midtown; New York rattled by mass shooting
This is still a developing story…
A tragic scene unfolded Monday in midtown Manhattan, where a shooting at an office building left at least five people dead — among them, an off-duty NYPD officer, according to sources who spoke with the Associated Press and other news organizations.
The suspect has been identified as Shane Tamura of Nevada. Authorities say he died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
News outlets tonight are digging too deep into Tamura’s background.. early reports suggest he may have once aspired to play in the NFL and didn’t make it. Could that have been a breaking point?
To those who lost their lives today: may you rest in peace. What an awful, senseless story.

Heartbreaking Texas flooding death toll emerges
(story image AP Photo/Julio Cortez)
Texas‘s Division of Emergency Management predicted the number of dead as a result of catastrophic flooding in Kerrville on July 4 would top 100, Daily Mail can exclusively reveal.
In an email sent out Saturday, the state disaster office told partners the number of dead would surpass 100, two different sources confirmed to Daily Mail.
The estimate of the dead is vastly different than the message state officials are projecting publicly, insisting that they are still searching for people who are alive, and refusing to say rescue efforts have shifted to recovery of remains.
There are images now being circulated by family of deceased.. the heartbreak is especially poignant as young children from Camp Mystic remain missing..
Heavy rains and flooding remained a threat Sunday as the rescue efforts turned into a bitter recovery campaign of bodies in wreckage that was taken down river as the wall of water destroyed land..
Texas Gov. Greg Abbott warns that flash flooding could still pose a danger for some regions over the next few days as “more heavy rainfall” is expected.
Heavy rainfall could lead to flash flooding in the Big Country, Concho Valley, Central Texas and again in the City of Kerrville, where a majority of the destruction has been reported, Abbott said during a news conference today..

Debate is raging as to whether federal forecasters did not do enough to warn..
Local officials have shifted the blame to the NWS, claiming the agency cost people lives.
Texas Emergency Management Chief W. Nim Kidd said the amount of rain that slammed the Hill Country and Concho Valley was drastically underestimated.
Dalton Rice, the city manager for Kerrville, Texas, said that communities were under prepared for the sheer amount of rainfall.
President Trump, who has called for the Federal Emergency Management Agency to be eliminated, deflected questions about the future of the agency on Sunday, just hours after he signed an emergency declaration directing federal resources to Texas. “FEMA is something we can talk about later, but right now they’re busy working so we’ll leave it at that,” he told reporters in New Jersey before flying back to Washington…

The suspect has not been publicly identified. His background and motives remain under investigation, police said. Authorities believe the suspect set the fire intentionally and acted alone.
“This was a total ambush,” Kootenai County Sheriff Bob Norris said during a Sunday night news conference in Hayden. “These firefighters did not have a chance.”
