The FBI distributed a bulletin warning that Iran had allegedly aspired to launch drone attacks against California targets in retaliation for U.S. military strikes on Iran.
The intelligence indicated UAVs could potentially be launched from a vessel off the West Coast, but officials stressed there was no confirmed information on timing, targets, or perpetrators. A counterterrorism source told the LA Times the threat has “not been deemed credible at this time.”
The warning came just before the U.S. and Israel launched major strikes on Iran on February 28th, killing Supreme Leader Khamenei. Governor Newsom confirmed his office is aware of the intelligence and has directed Cal OES to elevate its security posture and coordinate around the clock with state and federal partners.
Trump, when asked, said he was not worried about Iran-backed attacks on U.S. soil.

The reports indicate that the bulletin reason part, “Radicalized individuals with a variety of ideological backgrounds also may see this conflict or other geopolitical events as a justification for violence,’ the report continues.
The five-page bulletin blocked by the White House provides specific details on how Iranian proxies may carry out attacks across the country. One section explains how local law enforcement can respond to this type of violence.
The official title is ‘A Public Safety Awareness Report: Elevated threat in the United States during US-Iran conflict’.
Homeland Security broke protocol and gave the White House a heads-up about the nationwide bulletin hours before it was set to be
Kei Sugimoto, a Japanese-American who was 24 years old at the time, has released a nearly 1-hour, never-before-seen video on his YouTube channel.
Sugimoto was a Mainframe Operator at the time at Nissho Iwai Shoji when the terrorist attacks occurred and filmed the footage from the roof of 64 St. Marks Place in New York City.
He used a Sony VX2000 with a teleconverter to capture the harrowing moments, according to his Youtube description.
The hour long video starts with the aftermath of both planes hitting. During the filming, both buildings collapse.. The bright blue sky in the background is still something that people who were alive and old enough to have memories will never forget from that day. The video also portrays the helplessness that everyone felt who was watching it happen.
It is also incredible to think about how people in that ‘time’ filmed things longer. Our brains were just wired to keep a camcorder going. While today the minute video on TikTok just ends.
It is continuously unfathomable to consider the passage of time.. at the time this video is uploaded, kids born on 9/11 will have been legally able to drink in the United States for two years already..
France’s high-speed TGV rail network has been targeted by “malicious acts” including extreme vandalism and arson, trains operator SNCF has said, just hours before the Olympic Games in Paris are set to open.
This is a developing story
More..
French train operator SNCF said the only unaffected high-speed rail lines are in the southeast of the country.
SNCF:
“SNCF was the victim of several simultaneous malicious acts overnight.
The southeastern line was not affected as a malicious act was foiled.”
Reporting from the Associated Press:
Outgoing French Prime Minister Gabriel Attal said sabotage and arson that hit key parts of France’s rail network on the eve of the Olympics had “a clear objective: blocking the high-speed train network.”
He said the vandals strategically targeted the main routes from the north, east and west toward Paris, hours before the city hosts the Olympics opening ceremony.
Speaking to reporters Attal said there will be “massive consequences,” with “hundreds of thousands” of people stuck while trying to visit Paris for the Games or vacations.
The FBI and Department of Homeland Security issued a warning on Wednesday morning about large Fourth of July celebrations.
The security organizations say the biggest threats are lone offenders and small groups, who may have a larger agenda, and find large events such as holiday gatherings “attractive” targets, according to a bulletin.
“The political environment of the country certainly doesn’t help,” Aaron Katersky, a security correspondent, told ABC News. “The police are being told by the FBI and Department of Homeland Security to be on watch for these types of things that are notoriously difficult to guard against.”
Early morning on March 5, 2024, Meta seemingly had a giant outage that blocked people from their Facebook and Instagram accounts and did not let them log back in.
People went to X .. where Elon Musk was bragging his system stayed up during the great short outage of March 2024. He had his bragging rights..
When the socials slowly returned, people began commenting about how crisis level reactions were occurring during the hour and a 1/2 outage. Over the top… Outrageous people panicking over a brief outage of this nature showcased just how on the edge we all are…
Even on Facebook after META resumed its full strength, there are some people decrying how weak we all are as people.. Of course, many of the people making fun of those upset that Facebook was down also make money on their Facebook pages. And they would be upset and panicking too if the outage was a week and a half instead of just an hour and a half. Some websites had to remind their users today that they actually have a website and not just a social media presence. .
Without Facebook telling people to go to a website, most won’t. Sorry.. just ain’t happening until there is another cultural shift.
That has simply become the world we live in.
Back in the early 2000s we bookmarked pages and obscure websites.
Now if the algorithm does not give them to us, they are forever forgotten.
Questions not just about social media going down but all of it every bit of it.
Just think about the notion that everything that you do on the internet suddenly stops working websites, Facebook TikTok, Instagram and your email.
Also, couple that with the notion that you’re electricity suddenly takes a turn for the worse and you and all of your neighbors are without lights.
The Monsters are Due on Maple Street
If you charge your electric car in a charging station, you’re grounded in this potential future.
You’re also grounded even at a gas station since that runs on electricity as well. Your land lines don’t exist anymore. And even if you still have one, they’re tied into systems that don’t act like landlines of Ma Bell. They cease working as well
In different posts in which people asked what would YOU do if power went out, a few people said that they would knit or crochet. Some others said they would drink. Or express themselves in some sort of a consensual lustful relationship with their partner. One person honestly answered saying she would panic.
The shock was how no one said they would turn on a radio… No one said they would try old fashioned technology despite the fact it still exists–a bit–and could be utilized.
We don’t think about old-fashioned technology anymore.
But on days when outages that happened, maybe we should.
Maybe we should conjure up a future in which it feels a lot like the past.. All those staples and security blankets of the past have been shredded into pieces. When social media goes dark for just minutes, people do legitimately go into a form of panic.
While you scoff and laugh at those who feel the panic, be aware that we have all become accustomed and addicted to these social media algorithms.
YOU INCLUDED.
In a future when the power goes off–even for a day–your crocheting will get old fast and your beer will get warm even faster.
The world survives only when electricity keeps running. So.. leave the world behind if it happens…..

SO joking aside. If the ‘big one’ happens… what would you do?
An initial statement from the Israeli PM’s Office read: “Following an accelerated and comprehensive intelligence investigation, Danish security and law enforcement agencies arrested 7 terrorists acting on behalf of the Hamas terrorist organization and thwarted an attack, the goal of which was to kill innocent civilians on European soil.”
It warned that Hamas has “striven to expand its operational capabilities around the world, especially in Europe” to attack “Israeli, Jewish and Western targets at any price”.

Terrorist threats against the U.S. reached “a whole other level” after the Hamas attack on Israel, FBI Director Christopher A. Wray told Congress on Tuesday, saying the big players in terrorism have all renewed calls to attack America and its interests.
He said the level of threats has heightened since President Biden took office, though U.S. law enforcement is “better prepared to deal with them.”
“The reality is that the terrorism threat has been elevated throughout 2023, but the ongoing war in the Middle East has raised the threat of attack on Americans to a whole other level,” Mr. Wray said.
