All these years later, a new historic photo is now etched into our psyche..
Donald Trump, grazed by a bullet in an assassination attempt, now graces a new cover of TIME magazine.. The sky behind him is blue, unliked the Bush imagery of gray and billowing dust clouds.. But the flag is there in the distance, with blood flowing down Trump’s face..
In both covers, the right arm is extended high into the sky. Both in acts of defiance..
And both moments in time feel the same. While the path we embark on now as a nation is very different than it would have been, something feels like it is dramatically different and altered.

Nic Cage did phenomenal.. the movie was undoubtedly an experience for those who see it, and theaters may be the best place to view when considering the aura of the screen and the feel and sound of the movie..

“It is with a heavy heart that I confirm the passing of actress Shannen Doherty,” her publicist, Leslie Sloane, said in a statement to PEOPLE on Sunday.
“On Saturday, July 13, she lost her battle with cancer after many years of fighting the disease,” Sloane continued. “The devoted daughter, sister, aunt and friend was surrounded by her loved ones as well as her dog, Bowie. The family asks for their privacy at this time so they can grieve in peace.”
Authorities have identified the gunman involved in the attack against former US President Donald Trump on Saturday as 20-year-old Thomas Matthew Crooks, who was killed by Secret Service agents at the scene after the shooting.
The FBI named Crooks in a statement early Sunday morning, identifying him as a resident of Bethel Park, Pennsylvania – about 35 miles south of Butler, where Trump was holding his rally.
Crooks fired on Trump while perched on a nearby building rooftop outside the rally’s security perimeter, before being killed by the Secret Service, according to law enforcement officials.
Online sleuths are working in overdrive to find any public information, including footage that could be Crooks at graduation in Bethel Park from a few years ago.
The world was rocked tonight as Donald Trump survived an assassination attempt in Butler Pennsylvania during a campaign rally. Early reports indicate that 12,000 people were in attendance. A shooter opened fire on the former President during his speech, with at least the bullet or a fragment from Trump’s teleprompter hitting his face. Others in the crowd were injured and killed.
The FBI has called the shooting at former President Donald Trump’s rally Saturday night an attempted assassination.
“This evening, we had what we’re calling an assassination attempt against our former President Donald Trump. It’s still an active crime scene,” said Kevin Rojek, the special agent in charge of the FBI’s Pittsburgh field office, speaking at a news conference in Butler, Pennsylvania.
He said authorities are “working feverishly to attempt to identify the individual who did this and any motives behind why this was done,” and asked the public to reach out with any information that might help.
