Australian town stunned as it rains baby SPIDERS in ‘horror movie’ phenomenon

While this may be a natural occurrence, it doesn’t make it less frightening. Imagine the sun becoming blocked by hundreds of baby spiders suddenly raining down on you? And this too: Some residents told how they found small arachnids in their beards and webbing in their hair!

    I’d be shaving immediately.

  • DOLLS ARE CREEPY. But have you met Peggy?

DOLLS ARE CREEPY. But have you met Peggy?

There are haunting dolls. And there is Peggy.. And if you believe the hype surrounding this latest paranormal internet sensation, she is so powerful in her fear that she causes nasuea, headaches. And heart attacks.

Annabel Fenwick Elliott described the situation in the UK DAILY MAIL.  A number of other global media sources latched onto to the paranormal tale.

Here is the lowdown and what you need to know about this plastic piece of evil.. Jayne Harris is a paranormal investigator in the UK. She posted photos and a video of a doll that Harris claims is inhabited by the spirit of a Holocaust victim.. Viewers of the videos and content have written Harris with personal messages about how PEGGY, the doll, has affected their lives.. Some have complained of crippling headaches after seeing Peggy. Some reported visions of mental institutions and abuse. Others said they became anxious. And one said she experienced a heart attack..

The one video–creepy indeed–involves Harris driving PEGGY in the car. Peggy staring at the camera is a little unnerving.. I had to tell myself it is just a doll..
    Just a doll.

    And this is the doll:

Video footage of Peggy (pictured) has been wreaking havoc on a string of paranormal enthusiasts around the world – reportedly causing one British woman to suffer a heart attack

And this is one of the videos:

    http://www.dailymail.co.uk/embed/video/1176217_1_1429262667692.html

    From the DAILY MAIL story:

‘One lady said that when she opened a photograph of Peggy, her computer froze on the picture and the room went cold.

‘She then said she felt someone in the room with her and could hear them moving around. This lady was messaging me at the time via Facebook asking me to quickly advise her on what to do.

‘I took Peggy down into an isolation area and requested that she cease her tormenting. Apparently everything returned to normal.’

Mrs Harris continued: ‘Another lady yesterday said she had been experiencing light bulbs blowing and a presence in her home after she had been speaking about Peggy.

‘With Peggy, it’s not only while people are looking at her or watching her, it seems to be afterwards too.’

Mrs Harris, who has herself experienced migraines and feeling drained after working with Peggy, said she has never seen a case of this intensity before.

She runs an organisation called Haunted Dolls, and often gets random items in the post with no prior background.

Mrs Harris uses an array of gadgets and experiments to piece together the puzzles surrounding them.

There have been a wide spectrum of people attempting to place a story with Peggy, a background to the supposed spirit inhabiting the doll.  Two mediums believe she is a Jewish soul and a victim of Hitler’s World War II atrocities.

There has been a Facebook group set up to study the ongoing odyssey of PEGGY..

But there are also many detractors who are looking at the PEGGY story as a bunch of loonies who need to be locked up. One comment on the DAILY MAIL article was funny enough to be reprinted here:

It really works I suffered bad chest pains by watching this! I thought I was having an heart attack but then I realised it was that dodgy kebab that gave me heartburn.

Even those who find this situation comical are also understanding that it could either be collective consciousness.. perhaps people giving the power to the doll to become fearful and mighty.. or just a group of people making each other scared.

Dolls are freaky.. Clyde Lewis showcased that brilliantly in 2014 when he broadcasted a live NET stream of Nickle in a dark room alone. The doll moved.

There is a little bit of a personal tale I’d like to relay, one that was brought to the forefront of my mind by Peggy. When I was a child, perhaps 4 or 5, I was at my grandmother’s house for Christmas Eve dinner. My brother and cousin devised a very elaborate prank that scared me to this day.. They rigged my grandmother’s doll (freakish as well) with strings, turned the lights off, and continued to call out my name to go into the room. A dark room.. with a little beam of light on the doll, from the shadows they would make the doll’s arms and legs move. I screamed and ran each time.. And in a weird way, Peggy looks sort of like that doll of my childhood fears..

Regardless of truth or not to the paranormal aspect, Peggy is one frightening lady. Blank eyes. Motionless face. A doll that I would not want to see staring at me in a dark room..

And for that reason, I myself did not watch the videos. Perhaps paranoia.. Or maybe I’m much more comfortable believing that PEGGY is just a doll..
    Just a doll…

  • Movies about what scares you. Or the kids.

Movies about what scares you. Or the kids.

Nelson Greaves is getting some positive press about this week’s horror release: UNFRIENDED.. the movie is a twist on the safety net of the internet–a net that isn’t safe at all, as we know.

UNFRIENDED takes viewers down the road of what scares him about cyberspace. Matt Barone in WIRED explains the genesis of UNFRIENDED. One day, Greaves got an email from a friend. The scary part was that the friend recently committed suicide .. Barone goes on to write in WIRED:

“It was so emotionally troubling for me,” says Greaves. “It’s such a simple thing but it made me stop and say, ‘This is like something out of a scary movie.’”

After that, Greaves started thinking about how the Internet is in many ways a secondhand cemetery, housing millions of social media profiles created by people who have passed off this mortal coil but left their Twitter, Facebook, and Tumblr accounts active. That dovetailed with discomfiting memories of being a kid in the early ’90s and seeing his older sister spend hours in AOL chat rooms without ever knowing what what her chatmates looked like—for all she knew, she could have been chatting with, as Greaves puts it, “dirty 40-year-old men.” The inherent creepiness of anonymity, its potential for malevolence, always stuck with him.

The idea of monsters and FREDDY KREUGER type characters in horror movies is so cliche at this point.. the generation who is budding today with youthful vigor doesn’t get freaked by Michael Myers or Jason. They are simply laughing stocks of the 20 century, relics of a time when movies were just slashing and dashing their way to cheap quick cash at box offices..

But the internet? Now that can be scary.

I think TUMBLR can often be scary..  I recall vividly the moment on my personal TUMBLR page–one I don’t update much anymore because I just quite frankly thought about it too much–when I posted a family photo of me with my wife and son.. And then the photo got reblogged on another page.. But then it got reblogged on a really not so good page. I asked for the photo to be removed, the person complied, but I was sort of amazed and yet appalled with how easy it was for my personal items to be taken from me. Until it dawned on me, or hit me like a freight train: I put it out there. I was the problem. Me. I didn’t realize the power of a clunky social network. How can I possibly blame someone else.

This is off the path of the movie UNFRIENDED. The actual film looks, well.. a little clunky itself. The reviews are mixed. I don’t doubt it will have a successful quick fortune at the box office, even if it’s not in the number 1 or even 2 place. It will also have a longer lifespan when it eventually gets to NETFLIX and others.

However the idea of the movie is what fascinates me more than the movie itself.

I remember when HALLOWEEN 8 tried an online angle way back in 2002. The movie, HALLOWEEN RESURRECTION, followed the cast of characters as they live-broadcasted a show from the Michael Myers house. Of course we know how that ends. The movie wasn’t received very well. It was a disaster. It failed miserably. I don’t think the concept was a failure, but perhaps the use of the internet in horror was too soon. Or maybe it is because the premise was just wrong. Instead of showcasing the internet as horror, Akkad (RIP) thought Michael would be more frightening. He wasn’t.

What UNFRIENDED may be getting right: The chills and spills of the NET and how often it can give you a little bit of hair raising moments. UNFRIENDED is speaking to bigger issues … social issues.. pop culture issues. Real issues. The fact that the monster isn’t some supernatural being, but instead the vast information superhighway, now that’s scary. Because we are so connected, and we are so often at the mercy of the anonymous creature or villain on the other end of the road.

When I read Greaves anecdote about getting an email from a dead friend, it reminded me iof something I wrote on  February 2014, I wrote an article on the HORROR REPORT about how, if ghosts and EVPs are real, they should be starting to appear on Facebook and the internet any time now. Then, I wondered what it would be like to suddenly get a live message on Facebook from a friend you know is dead. I spoke personally about a friend I knew who did in fact die and leave a beautiful family behind. And I was as much struck then as I am now about how Facebook pages become milestone memorial sites, with profile pictures frozen in time of the person who passes, and constant updates are thrown on the wall by friend who wish happy birthdays or Christmases, or just pop in to say they miss the person.  Maybe eventually, so as long as EVPs and contact from the dead is real, they will also learn how to use Facebook and update their page from beyond the grave.

In UNFRIENDED, the bullied soul, someone who committed suicide, enacts revenge on the cyber bullies who caused it.
Now that is scary for this generation.

  • THE TRUE HORROR OF ‘LAZARUS EFFECT’

THE TRUE HORROR OF ‘LAZARUS EFFECT’

The LAZARUS EFFECT showcases the newfound popularity of reanimation horror.. WIRED’s Jordan Cruccihola examines this premise in an article posted today, saying

“Reanimation horror is not the most populated of sub-genres. We’ve surely had more cabins in the woods, unbeatable super killers, and haunted houses. But reanimation has a special place in our hearts thanks to its scientific roots. Sure, it’s all ridiculous science with little to no connection to reality, but there are still a lot more lab coats than in your standard-issue slasher. And if there’s one thing we wish there were more of in horror flicks, it’s lab coats..”

An the author is dead on right! The LAZARUS EFFECT, being released this weekend for public consumption, has an interesting premise: A group of medical students find a way to bring the dead back to life. It’s a horror classification, but easily travails into the science fiction category as you read more about the idea.. And really, we are living in this world.

This horror encapsulates perfectly our fears about future shock, the advancement of medical technology, and how we are on the verge of some amazing but possibly scary things.. The movie is getting intensely bad reviews, not only from the paid informants in entertainment rags, but also the masses who have already been privileged to see and write about it.

The common thread is that this is a rip-off of FLATLINERS. Maybe that’s true, but it’s also bringing to theaters the concept of the future and how it can be dangerous if in the wrong hands.. there’s a cultural allegory here if you pay attention. A commentary on society..

LAZARUS is not expected to rise to the top of the heap in the movie theaters over the next few days, but it is predicted to do fine for its genre for a winter weekend..

    THE PINK STARS ARE EXPLODING

The 500 pound meteor in the room »

An amazing—and scary—piece of news is being reported very close to the HORROR REPORT home base..

Americans in New York, Ohio, Michigan and Pennsylvania reported seeing a fiery, 500-pound meteor soar through the sky this week before the space rock apparently broke up somewhere over the Keystone State, according to scientists.
NASA said on Tuesday this week that the meteor entered the Earth’s atmosphere in the sky above western Pennsylvania earlier that morning and was reportedly witnessed by spectators stretching for hundreds of miles across the United States from the Mid-Atlantic to the Midwest.

The meteor burst into flames above PITTSBURGH..

    [youtube http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dRRSORwD_tQ?feature=oembed&enablejsapi=1&origin=https://safe.txmblr.com&wmode=opaque]

Remnants of the meteor ended up on the ground in Pennsylvania—my home state as well. I didn’t see this, however, it seemed more confined to the Western part of the state..

It was traveling at 45,000 miles per hour..

The video and the story are both equally amazing..

There were reports of sonic booms.. Lots of calls to the AMA..

And also this piece of interesting news: A meteor exploded over New Zealand yesterday..

The pink stars are falling all too often lately, don’t you think?

  • When in Rome…

    When in Rome…

Rome is getting very worried about ISIS.

We have reported on the strange prophecies that seem to be driving news lately..

Now the DAILY BEAST is reporting about officials in Rome having no clue how to deal with the threat of ISIS, but being very concerned about their potential advance from Libya to Italy..

Barbie Latza Nadeau reports this in the BEAST article:

Last weekend in Italy, as the threat of ISIS in Libya hit home with a new video addressed to “the nation signed with the blood of the cross” and the warning, “we are south of Rome,” Italian prime minister Matteo Renzi shuttered up the Italian embassy in Tripoli and raised his fist with the threat of impending military action.  Never mind that Italy has only 5,000 troops available that are even close to deployable, according to the defense ministry. Or that the military budget was cut by 40 percent two years ago, which has kept the acquisition of 90 F-35 fighter jets hanging in the balance and left the country combat-challenged to lead any mission—especially one against an enemy like the Islamic State.

In fact, Renzi didn’t specify exactly who would wield that military might, and, two days later, when no one volunteered to lead the charge, he backtracked.  “It’s not the time for a military intervention,” Renzi told an Italian television station Monday night and said the United Nations had to lead the way.  “Our proposal is to wait for the UN Security Council. The strength of the UN is decidedly superior to that of the radical militias.”

Among the notable facts reported: Libya is just 109 miles away from the island of Lampedusa and 300 miles from Sicily..

There have been recent news stories regarding threats on the Pope’s life, with very real plots revealed..

There is an increased security presence outside Rome’s American embassy on Via Veneto and the Libyan embassy on Via Nomentana..

The most recent beheading video released by ISIS showcases Coptic Christians meeting their collective and bloody demise.. The threat of the video was that ISIS was going to Europe next. And the goal: Rome.

    The Vatican.

    The Pope.
The war of religions in our modern times..

The Pope has spoken out against ISIS on a number of occasions, most recently speaking of the horror of the 21 beheaded Christians.. As a matter of fact, he called them modern martyrs.. Cardinal Dolan, a famed figure of Catholic hierarchy, says that civilization itself is being threatened by ISIS.

In January, prior to the recent beheading and threats, the Vatican saw ‘dangers’ with a terror threat..

    Those dangers are getting closer..
    The world is watching..

  • The growth of doom

    The growth of doom

I got an email last night from someone saying that they come to the HORROR REPORT for horror news, and not world events.. I implore you, find reader, look to your news headlines for the horror. It is there..

The HORROR REPORT has been around since 1999, in some shape or another. At that time, we were on message boards and forums.. AOL rooms and ICQ rooms.. Now we’re steady as a website–one that changes its design now and then, much to the chagrin of readers who are thoroughly confused by the constant reshaping of icons and pages.. Throughout all of the history of the HORROR REPORT, we have told readers of the scariest of things both real and fake. Movies, TV, comics, and books. And real events..

The news of the day is always scary. It is always the best of times and the worst of times..

The latest ‘worst of times’ news is constantly streaming to us from the Middle East, where a death cult describing itself as a religious branch of Islam is wrecking lives and destroying realities.. ISIS is not a Muslim group. They are beyond the pale, and have no regard for decency or any tenets that other Muslims hold.. As a matter of fact, we are being thrown back onto the cesspool of the Middle Ages with each beheading.. each burning..each stoning.. and each baby being stomped on by ruthless men who are hellbent on shocking the world even more than we have been..

Just last night, the HORROR REPORT reported on the prophecy of end times that is guiding ISIS.  They believe they are heralding in the final days. Some in the extreme religious right think the final days are here, too.. but they are mistaken when they believe their rapture will save them from suffering the rest of us would have to endure. World citizens, I think we are in this together. And if we don’t think about how to stop this new century’s villain, the next century will look back and either ask us why they inherited a thousand years of darkness or ponder why this current age seemed determined to allow itself to become a turmoil-laden battleground of religious insanity..

    warpseed

ISIS is expanding its area. The latest atrocity is showcasing their power in Libya and growing influence in North Africa. Tim Lister reports today that the group is actually growing at a warp speed:

ISIS is under pressure in parts of Iraq and battling a variety of adversaries in Syria, but it’s metastasizing at warp speed elsewhere, most dangerously in Egypt and Libya.

It also has support in Yemen, Afghanistan and Pakistan. And the leader of the group ravaging northern Nigeria, Boko Haram, has expressed his admiration of ISIS leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi.Set featured image

I am reminded of the previous comments of our leaders..Comments that all proved to be either wrong or ignorant.. Bush with his ‘bring it on.’ Obama with his ‘benchwarmers’ comment about ISIS. Or the Iron Lady Hillary Clinton’s ‘we came’ joke about Qaddafi’s death and subsequent corpse raping the dictator endured at the moment when the ‘Arab Spring’ took shape in Libya.

Dead ambassadors. Weapons being given to Al Qaeda.. chess matches in a land of oil. And all for what? Another group of horror established itself.. John McCain denies he met with them. But there are photos.

    If those photos matter now.

This is morphing at a warp speed..

    500 miles from Rome.
And they could watch 500 more.

  • THE PROPHECY DRIVING WORLD EVENTS

    THE PROPHECY DRIVING WORLD EVENTS

This website and many others have talked about the prophecy of the Popes quite a bit..   Just recently, we also reported on the undertone of rumblings about strange threats to the Vatican and to the Pope himself–along with the news last night that ISIS beheaded 21 Coptic Christians and have publicly said that they want to go to Rome next.

Lots of eyebrows have suddenly been raised to what we have been saying: Prophecy is playing out in real life. However, it may not be due to divine inspiration, but instead because ISIS is paying attention to prophecy and wants to accelerate what it deems as the end times.

    CNN

CNN’s Peter Bergen reports this tonight:

The name of the Dabiq magazine itself helps us understand ISIS’ worldview. The Syrian town of Dabiq is where the Prophet Mohammed is supposed to have predicted that the armies of Islam and “Rome” would meet for the final battle that will precede the end of time and the triumph of true Islam.

In the recent issue of Dabiq it states: “As the world progresses towards al-Malhamah al-Kubrā, (‘the Great Battle’ to be held at Dabiq) the option to stand on the sidelines as a mere observer is being lost.” In other words, in its logic, you are either on the side of ISIS or you are on the side of the Crusaders and infidels.

When American aid worker Peter Kassig was murdered by ISIS in November, “Jihadi John” — the masked British murderer who has appeared in so many ISIS videos — said of Kassig: “We bury the first crusader in Dabiq, eagerly waiting for the rest of your armies to arrive.”

In other words, ISIS wants a Western ground force to invade Syria, as that will confirm the prophecy about Dabiq.

This may be tough to ponder for a more secular world.

A wide spectrum of religions, however, understand the deal quite well.. If these human sacrifices continue, and the Pope is in danger, a veil of darkness will descend over this world.. depending on your point of view, either Jesus comes back as the Judge, or Islam will be the true religion that inherits the earth.

So here we are, in a time when modern convenience is plenty and the joys of technology is often unparalleled.  All the while, beheadings and burnings are being conceived by other humans–humans not at all rational.. Instead of projecting the intelligence of evolution and modern maturity, we are being taken back to the middle ages.. For so many right now under the leadership of ISIS, the dark ages are ruling..

With each step closer to Rome, I fear the steps will be closer to two different branches of faith believing that end times are upon us.. Sadly, many Christians will throw their hands up and wait for a rapture that, logic tells us, will not occur. Instead we will be faced to deal with death and a hell on earth.

    And then what..?

  • Mr. Leeds is watching: Upside down and hell all around

What is up is down and what is down is up. Nothing makes sense now.. all that once did has been trampled by the fierce weight of the modern age.

That seems to be the common sentiment among many people I talk to anymore, this notion that everything that was once true has suddenly become a mystery and everything that was once mysterious has become fact.

There is this theory that exists in the paranormal realm, one that I do not necessarily subscribe to but one that has a very interesting premise when you consider it. The idea is that the earths magnetic field is what separates the here and there, that the netherworld is actually existent but because of gravity and the magnetic layer around this is there, the paranormal world does not interfere with our reality.  The theory then goes on to say that with the weakening of the magnetic field, more ghostly activity and strangeness occur. We do know too that the earths magnetic field has been weakening over the past several years, and scientists say it will continue to do so.

If you believe in the dramatic theory of how the paranormal could become normal, that we are very close to the gates of strangeness, and you concur with the magnetic field is actually weaker than before, then you may not be shocked at the stories in the news as of late: Tales of demonic possession, houses of politicians being haunted, and exorcists in demand across the world.

Over the weekend as my son–along with my wife and I– was attempting to get past strep throat and other cold like symptoms that suddenly struck, I was perusing some news articles and came across a horrific tell from the Congo. Apparently a mob mentality–literally–struck. Witnesses said that a mob of people stoned to death a man who was unable to speak the native dialect … he was on a bus and carrying a machete. They killed him, suspecting he was a member of ISIS, after terror attacks have killed 100 in the country..   But then (graphic content warning now) things got ‘real,’ with the mob burning the lifeless corpse of the suspected terrorist and then–drumroll please–eating him..

They consumed the evil they murdered and feared.. There are also photos in global media to prove the horror..

The horror that occurred in real time to the man now consumed by the angry group of people is no match to the terror that has been unleashed in the nation of Iraq.. This weekend, again, was no different.  More brutal executions.. Women and children, as usual, were not dismissed of their unearned early murders. They were found in a well, we are told by media reports.. Dead and tossed like garbage.. Entire families were marched to their deaths.

This is really real. This is happening. It is not murder and genocide confined to the safe pages of history books. It is now.

While speaking to a family member today who recently lost a loving husband and good man–a very big loss personally for my family and this world–she told me that she is distressed more and more by reality taking place.. She said that things have even become more serious since losing someone, and that the witching hour of 3am is often in her blurry sleepy vision as she awakens in distress from sleep.

I have heard this a lot recently..

The 3am witching hour, complete with the fear of the world and the weight of the gates of hell, wide open and giving us a daily dose of demonic activity..

I have written before about that hour, a time when the thinness of the here and there seems to be the weakest and thinnest. But so many people lately have spoken of the same troubles sleeping.

While that may not be enough to develop a thesis that the world is about to dramatically change, it certainly has raised my eyebrows.. why so many now, at this time, with the same ailment: Waking constantly, especially at the time of the night we dread?

Maybe the news of the day is just too much to deal with.. perhaps headlines are dreadful, so much so that our brains have been impacted and our inner night owls are taking over?

    I frankly don’t know..

I know this: Life has always been violent. People have always been crude, rude, cowardly, desolate of morals and filled with depravity. There have been handfuls of goodness and pockets of pride. So often, though, the loudest were the degenerates who mocked God and made a mockery of the creation.

Despite it being one of the lowest rated movies of M. Night Shyamalan’s career, I loved LADY IN THE WATER. There is one character in particular who reminds me of so many people in our current time.. His name was “Mr. Leeds” played by actor Bill Irwin.  He is one of the tenants in the apartment building where a magical fairy tale will soon ensue.. but until it does, he is busy daily watching his television set of the latest scenes of chaos, strife, warfare and murder across the planet. Shyamalan presents him as a stoic man, someone who seemingly watches in a silent agony as the chilling news broadcasts play out 24/7 in his living room. And really, isn’t that all of us? The silent majority, not condemning the atrocities across the earth but instead attempting to live our lives as though they aren’t happening? Traveling to work in heavy traffic, consumed by radio interfering with our souls, standing around a water cooler with mindless dribble spewing? That is us.. We are good at heart.. But scared of the consequences of speaking out.

The scary scenes of warfare.. ‘at least it’s not here’ as a general attitude is never good.. It’s akin to someone saying “if I’m not doing anything wrong I have nothing to fear” when presented with news that the government and corporations are relentless spying on us to no end. It is wrong and unhealthy to just accept all things for the sake of creating peace. No peacemaker who was successful ever said no to battle and a good fight.

As said previously, there has always been horrors on this planet. Dictators have ruled with iron fists, entire peoples were wiped out by chemical and nuclear weapons.. So what is any different about today as opposed to then?
The fact we are in the 21st century.. the fact that this should all have been settled by now.

No matter how far we progress, we use the technology of the day for the sordid affairs of murder and pillage. We are more connected than ever. We can talk to someone in real time anywhere on this planet.. and with live web cams see their every move. Then beheadings fill our newsfeeds..
    And our response? Apathy..
Cautious carelessness.. instead we’ll Tweet and simmer in anger over the latest meaningless football game that quenches our simply Sunday mindsets.

But it doesn’t have to be that way.

In LADY IN THE WATER, Mr. Leeds’ took on a very important role.  He questions whether humanity should be saved in his dialogue in the film. He goes on to inspire the main character of the film at the most crucial time. And it leads to redemption–redemption of the entire group of apartment misfits that never realized the power of humanity to work as one.

We are all Mr. Leeds, engrossed in the mundane violence that television news has become.. But all the while, feeling powerful to face the brunt of the devastation..

This past weekend, Halloween weekend no less, the news of the world was scarier than any ghoul or monster on your door steps cutely asking for candy. Those monsters are innocent after all, dressing like the things that haunt them at night, or the heroes who save their days.. But the real monsters and demons wear suits and ties and play chess with the lives of all of us. Meanwhile terrorist splinter groups take aim at fellow man and inhumanely create a hell on earth ..

Yes indeed.. the gates of are wide open and giving us some troubling times on Earth..
As the veil things..and the field weakens.

Jim Thorpe and the old jail: A haunted attraction worth a look

Jim Thorpe’s Old Jail Ghost Tours stalk spirits: The Harrisburg PATRIOT NEWS REVIEWS »

The Old Jail museum in Jim Thorpe has an amazing piece of coal region history.. Molly Maguires were hung here.. and some say the hand print of one of the doomed Mollys never vanished from the wall, as a reminder that something very unjsut happened there..

I do recommend Jim Thorpe PA to anyone who would want to travel to this part of Pennsylvania. And during this time of year, the Old Jail Museum is a must go..

Last year, I actually wrote a review about the museum here.. quite frankly, I faced some consternation from the Old Jail for what I wrote, namely a section where I said “The real paranormal story is the hand print—and a couple other little tales, probably tall, of whispers and pats on the back.. ”  There was offense taken from that section.. but I refuse to take it out. The hand print may not be faked, but there are no doubt other embellished stories that provide atmosphere during the Halloween season.

Regardless of that or the controversy about what I wrote in 2013, I still say it’s a great place to visit and a profound place for anyone who has knowledge of why the Molly Maguires mattered in American history..
