The CEO has spoken.. days after his poll asking people if he should resign as CEO of Twitter, he shocked the world again with another Tweet> He will resign when he finds someone .. foolish enough to take the job!!

Musk may have had the laugh at the voters expense? Or was it never real to begin with.

Meanwhile Tom, our old best friend from Myspace, is waiting in the wings..

    All eyes on Musk

All eyes on Twitter this morning as Elon musk, most likely, we assume, or somehow addressed the pole that he posted Sunday night.

Maybe many were spambots. But 17 million votes later, an overwhelming majority of people or users in this situation have told Musk to leave.

    Developing..

Musk issues the blue check: Are you with him or against him?

Elon Musk says Twitter is a software and servers company at its heart and has asked employees to decide by Thursday evening if they want to remain a part of the business, according to an email sent by the company’s new owner to its remaining staff.

Musk wrote that employees “will need to be extremely hardcore” to build “a breakthrough Twitter 2.0” and that long hours at high intensity will be needed for success.

Musk, who also heads Tesla and SpaceX, said Twitter will be much more engineering-driven, with employees who write “great code” comprising the majority of the team.

    Britney and her naked photos

Lots of publications are continuously celebrating Britney Spears and her proclivity to post semi nude photos of herself on social Media..

The free Britney movement has quelled despite her now seeming to be a hostage to social media attention..

Beyond that.. not to sound prudish about it all, but what are her kids thinking?

If I was in school still and my mother was posting naked photos of herself on social media for all my classmates to see I’d be mortified!

All of the people applauding Britney would be equally horrified of their own mom or grandmother decided to show her breasts on Instagram.

Off to the socials!! Musk takes Twitter

“Twitter, Inc. today announced that it has entered into a definitive agreement to be acquired by an entity wholly owned by Elon Musk, for $54.20 per share in cash in a transaction valued at approximately $44 billion. Upon completion of the transaction, Twitter will become a privately held company.

Under the terms of the agreement, Twitter stockholders will receive $54.20 in cash for each share of Twitter common stock that they own upon closing of the proposed transaction. The purchase price represents a 38% premium to Twitter’s closing stock price on April 1, 2022, which was the last trading day before Mr. Musk disclosed his approximately 9% stake in Twitter.

Bret Taylor, Twitter’s Independent Board Chair, said, “The Twitter Board conducted a thoughtful and comprehensive process to assess Elon’s proposal with a deliberate focus on value, certainty, and financing. The proposed transaction will deliver a substantial cash premium, and we believe it is the best path forward for Twitter’s stockholders.”

TIKTOK INFLUENCERS GATHER IN THE WHITE HOUSE! BIDEN ADMINISTRATION BRIEFS THEM ON INTELLIGENCE!

This headline is not a joke, though it seems like it could be blasted on the ONION..

It is reporting coming from the Washington POST..

On Thursday afternoon, 30 top TikTok stars gathered on a Zoom call to receive key information about the war unfolding in Ukraine. National Security Council staffers and White House press secretary Jen Psaki briefed the influencers about the United States’ strategic goals in the region and answered questions on distributing aid to Ukrainians, working with NATO and how the United States would react to a Russian use of nuclear weapons.

This week, the administration began working with Gen Z For Change, a nonprofit advocacy group, to help identify top content creators on the platform to orchestrate a briefing aimed at answering questions about the conflict and the United States’ role in it. Victoria Hammett, deputy executive director of Gen Z For Change, contacted dozens with invitations via email and gathered potential questions for the Biden administration.

The invitations to the event were distributed Tuesday and Wednesday. Kahlil Greene, 21, a creator with more than 534,000 followers on TikTok, said he wasn’t surprised when an invitation arrived in his email inbox. “People in my generation get all our information from TikTok,” he said. “It’s the first place we’re searching up new topics and learning about things.” So, he figured, it made sense that the Biden administration would engage people like him on the platform.

The briefing was led by Matt Miller, a special adviser for communications at the White House National Security Council, and Psaki. The Washington Post obtained a recording of the call, and in it, Biden officials stressed the power these creators had in communicating with their followers. “We recognize this is a critically important avenue in the way the American public is finding out about the latest,” said the White House director of digital strategy, Rob Flaherty, “so we wanted to make sure you had the latest information from an authoritative source.”

  • Tik Tok ‘wokes’ up to David Letterman

Tik Tok ‘wokes’ up to David Letterman

Years after the late night world last David Letterman’s program, the former talk show host is currently in a woke social media uproar on Tik Tok over an old Lindsay Lohan interview!!

    MORE..

Tik Tok user @calabasaswings shared the uncomfortable interview in which Letterman, then in his 10th season as host of The Late Show with David Letterman, repeatedly asks Lohan about going to rehab. At the time, Lohan’s experience with substance use disorder was highly publicized — she was convicted twice of drunken driving and once for cocaine use in 2007, and was in and out of rehab in the subsequent years.

The video here, which was uploaded to YouTube 8 years ago when the interview occurred:

“This is so wrong on so many levels,” TikTok star Madison Beer wrote. Other Tik Tok users have opined similarly and have taken to slam Letterman’s interview, prompting some to ponder if we are witnessing a “cancellation”..

But flashback to media coverage of the interview that took place immediately after in 2013 and you will get a whole different angle.. At that time Hillary Busis wrote this in EW:

Believe it or not, there was more to David Letterman’s big Lindsay Lohan interview than awkward rehab talk. The late night host actually had a surprisingly heartfelt discussion with one of his favorite targets — one that led to Lohan actually tearing up on camera after Letterman praised her for having “enough spine, enough sense of [yourself], and enough poise” to come on the show despite all the jokes he’s made at her expense. Before that earnestness peeked through, though, Letterman and Lohan mostly kept things light, discussing her first appearance on his old NBC show — as a 6-year-old, she played “Things Found on the Floor of the D Train” in a Halloween-themed sketch — and, of course, her checkered past. Lohan said she had planned to do a bit implying that she was wearing a stolen dress; Letterman laughed heartily at the idea.

One thing Lohan didn’t want to make light of: Her upcoming rehab stint, which is scheduled to begin May 2. When Letterman tried to steer the conversation toward that subject partway through the interview, the actress shut him down: “I’m looking forward to actually just taking time for me. You can’t make a joke of it. That’s so mean.” And when Letterman playfully asked if he could lob just one quip, Lohan stood her ground — “We’re not doing that. No. This is my show now.”

What a difference a decade makes..

Political stories to share in the dark

Facebook and Twitter have both been accused of violating the first amendment rights of the New York Post by censoring an article that the post published referencing emails found about Hunter Biden.

I would say you can go to Twitter or Facebook to find the article but you cannot. The article has been banned from being published, and the algorithms are even stopping private messaging from sharing the link to the New York Post.

Instead you have to go about it the old-fashioned way and go directly to the post website itself.

Meanwhile the potential issue of censorship has become a hot topic on Facebook, and Twitter. Users of both social media platforms are actively sharing the screenshots of the New York post main page about the boat and emails and protesting their right to share the link.

Here is a great video to explain the background and aftermath

Major media stars and also the president have weighed in on this on Facebook, and today Ted Cruz announced that subpoenas will be issued for Jack Dorsey a Twitter for him to appear next Friday under oath before the Senate Judiciary committee.

In the meantime, CEO Jack opined on Twitter that the communication regarding the banning of the link was not handled very well.
