A futurist predicts: By 2050, human-on-robot sex will be more common than human-on-human sex, says report
People seem shocked by this predictions. I am, not.
Everything is eventual. Including this..
Doctor Ian Pearson predicts:
- By 2030, most people will have some form of virtual sex as casually as they browse porn today
- By 2035 the majority of people will own sex toys that interact with virtual reality sex
- We will start to see some forms of robot sex appearing in high-income, very wealthy households as soon as 2025
- We will start to see robot sex overtaking human-human in 2050
- Leisure spending could grow by a factor of five, and the sex market in 20 years could be three times bigger than today and seven times bigger by 2050.
Seems about right..
Just think of the reports from Japan: In 2013, the UK GUARDIAN had a report about why people in Japan stopped having sex, especially young people..Dr. Pearson is right on.
Right or wrong for the world. Factually it’s happening. -

And it’s going to be future shock for some..
- It will be built by three different kinds of robots parachuted to the surface of Mars..
- It will house four astronauts and be built using regolith – the loose soil and rocks on the surface of the red planet…
- And it’s all going to be with 3D printing.
- There will be life on Mars. Or somewhat lifelike virtual life..
- ‘The design of the habitat – carried out in collaboration with industrial and academic partners – envisions a robust 3D-printed dwelling for up to four astronauts constructed using regolith – the loose soil and rocks found on the surface of Mars,’ it said.The settlement on Mars will be constructed by an array of pre-programmed, semi-autonomous robots prior to the eventual arrival of the astronauts. The habitat will be delivered in two stages prior to the arrival of the astronauts. First, the semi-autonomous robots select the site and dig a 1.5 metre deep crater, followed by a second delivery of the inflatable modules which sit within the crater to form the core of the settlement.

But people will still fear them.. and tranhumanism, as well. Others will accept them.
The first thing I thought about when I heard the Volkswagen killer robot story was that some day in the future, if robots truly do develop their own thoughts and morality-processing ability, they could very well become purposely killers.. Machines programmable to destroy–and perhaps kill on their own.
Will there be trials of robots? Robot judges? Robot jails? Perhaps as a last resort, humans will be forced to disconnect the inner workings of the robot for a death penalty..?
Sure this is speculation.. maybe futuristic nonsense.
But in case you haven’t seen headlines as of late, the future is now.
And robots can kill.
But can they be punished?
