    But people will still fear them.. and tranhumanism, as well. Others will accept them.

    The first thing I thought about when I heard the Volkswagen killer robot story was that some day in the future, if robots truly do develop their own thoughts and morality-processing ability, they could very well become purposely killers.. Machines programmable to destroy–and perhaps kill on their own.

    Will there be trials of robots? Robot judges? Robot jails? Perhaps as a last resort, humans will be forced to disconnect the inner workings of the robot for a death penalty..?

    Sure this is speculation.. maybe futuristic nonsense. 
    But in case you haven’t seen headlines as of late, the future is now.
    And robots can kill.
    But can they be punished?
