Flanagan will have a different Mist Twist

You know the story, the Stephen King book and movie about the main Town swallowed by a strange mist. And if you saw the movie you remember the Terrible ending. Mike Flanagan is poised and ready to remake the film and push it in a new direction.

In a series of posts on BlueSky, he said that his adaptation is going to be different from what people already saw and he’s going to go his own way. Everywhere Mike Flanagan goes we actually follow.

The Mist is going to be great. If there wasn’t an excellent answer to why, I wouldn’t do it.” He continues in a follow-up post, “I love Darabont’s film, and there’s zero point in remaking it. Which is why I’m going in a different direction.”

He wrote further, “This isn’t a retread. The differences start page 1.”

“And FWIW, I got the same ‘but why’ comments for Haunting of Hill House, Bly Manor, House of Usher, Carrie, The Exorcist, even Ouija: Origin of Evil,” Flanagan said. “Also got it for Life of Chuck. I’ve been lucky so far in my career to only take on projects I’m really excited about.”

This was really exciting and we can’t wait

Carradine battled with bipolar disorder for nearly two decades, which ultimately claimed his life, his family said in a statement to Deadline.

Carradine’s daughter, actress Ever Carradine, paid tribute to her father in a post on Instagram.

“My dad was a lover, not a fighter. He was all heart, and in a world so full of conflict and division, I think we can all take a page out of his book today, open our hearts and feel and share the love,” she wrote.

May he rest in peace ..

New Epstein email reignited murder accusations

All kinds of online how are breaking out about this one. An assistant to the US District Attorney New York apparently wrote an email late 2020 that the Epstein death was being investigated as a murder. This Revelation came in the documents about Jeffrey Epstein that have been released online, and it created a firestorm amongst many when it was discovered and shared..

    From the email:

“I’m an AUSA in EDNY and am working on an investigation into the death of an inmate at the Brooklyn MDC,” the email reads, written by the individual – whose name was redacted – identifying themselves as a DOJ attorney, and to a recipient whose name was also redacted.

“The [Office of the Chief Medical Examiner] told me that it signed a confidentiality agreement in connection with the investigation into the murder of Jeffrey Epstein. We were hoping to extend a similar agreement and I wanted to see if you could share the agreement (or a boilerplate version of it). I’m happy to speak over the phone if that’s easier.”

The Why Files has a cool new video on Art Bell phone call camp fire stories

If you don’t already follow and subscribe to the Why Files, you really should. A new video put out by the channel this weekend is showcasing some cool old Art Bell Coast to Coast AM phone calls and adding some context and some more fun to them for a new generation!

The alien in the freezer.. the Mohave phone booth.. and the famous Area 51 call to Art when the show’s transmission was cut ..

The video submitted for your enjoyment:

    From Alex’s description:

On The Air: The Silenced Caller, The Mojave Phone Booth and The Alien In The Freezer Gather round for three campfire stories from the golden era of late-night radio, when Art Bell kept the lights on for millions of people who couldn’t sleep and couldn’t stop listening.

A psychologist in the Cascade Mountains encounters something in the woods—and brings it home. A frantic caller reaches Art Bell with a warning, and the satellite goes dark before he can finish.

A phone booth stands alone in the Mojave Desert for decades, and the calls that come through aren’t always from strangers. These aren’t ghost stories passed around a fire.

They’re documented, recorded, and still unresolved. Pull up a chair. The night is long, and some questions don’t have clean answers.

Get your VPNs ready: A new documentary explains what dad did upstairs

Don’t Come Upstairs has been showing up across a lot of social media feeds lately. Whether that exposure has been paid for by the documentary’s marketing team or is happening organically isn’t entirely clear, but the film itself has been made to look compelling and very watchable.

The documentary is centered around a deeply buried family secret that is gradually uncovered by filmmaker Mike Lobel. Through interviews, archival footage, and personal reflection, a long-standing mystery is explored — one that had reportedly been kept hidden for decades. Themes of silence, confrontation, and the emotional weight of unspoken truths are woven throughout the film’s structure.

Don’t Come Upstairs is a 2025 documentary directed by Mike Lobel and commissioned by CBC in Canada. The film runs just under an hour and has been made available through CBC Gem, the network’s streaming platform. At the time of writing, availability appears to be primarily in Canada, though clips and promotional material have circulated online, contributing to its recent visibility around the planet…

While it is categorized as a documentary, an unsettling tone is said to linger beneath the surface. The title alone suggests tension, and from the footage that has been shared publicly, an atmosphere of unease appears to have been intentionally crafted. The subject matter seems to blur genre lines, protruding slightly into psychological territory, family drama, and even something adjacent to true-life thriller.

With a blizzard reportedly on the horizon across parts of the East Coast, at least at the time this post is being written, a window of quiet viewing time may soon be available. Films like this tend to benefit from that kind of stillness.

So perhaps it should be watched collectively– but don’t be deceived by the links the “full movie” on YouTube.. As mentioned before.. Non Canadians may have a hard time finding this one.

    You will need a VPN..

It’s a LOT to do for a documentary but maybe worth it?

  • This is going to be a storm to remember

This is going to be a storm to remember

The great Blizzard of 2026– days ago this storm was sailing out to sea without harming anything but fish.. as the week drew to a close, we began to see we were about to continue our toxic relationship with the Winter of 2026..

This time red flashing lights of blizzard warnings are gracing New York City, the state of New Jersey, and parts of Pennsylvania.. warnings are pink .. people are miserable.

And as this storm begins to crank up and bomb out, the snowicane will feature 80 mile per hour gusts to create blizzard conditions..

If there was a storm of the century so far this may be it — enough to bring about the likes of Andre Linoge? That is yet to be seen. But born in sin, come on in..

For posterity.. here is the Blizzard Warning for New York City–something that is rare…

...BLIZZARD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM 1 PM THIS AFTERNOON TO 6

between 16 and 24 inches. Winds gusting as high as 60 mph.

    * WHERE...Portions of southern Connecticut and southeast New York.

The real life Slenderman.. Maybe.. or a really tall pale hitchhiker? Either way you don’t pick them up..

British media is reporting about a real life ‘slenderman’ that was spotted along a highway.. Of course paranormal socials have picked it up and ran with it with their skinny legs..

Lauren Amour recorded the strange sighting on her dashcam as it loomed out of the darkness. Her post has now been shared around the world hundreds of thousands of times..

It happened in the early hours of Saturday on the A69 while Lauren was driving from Barnard Castle, County Durham to Newcastle upon Tyne, as reported by What’s The Jam.

She said: “I was driving home at 2am when I saw something on the road. “I was so scared. “I have absolutely never seen anything like that before. I can’t explain it.

It is probably a very explainable … giant figure along the highway..

  • The Passion of Mel Gibson’s Resurrection

The Passion of Mel Gibson’s Resurrection

Mel Gibson is consulting with excommunicated Archbishop Carlo Maria Viganò — who has called the late Pope Francis “a servant of Satan” — for the “The Resurrection of the Christ,” his follow up to 2004’s “The Passion of the Christ” that is currently still shooting in Italy.

Viganò, who is the Vatican’s former ambassador to the United States, was excommunicated in 2024 for refusing to recognize Pope Francis’ authority and rejecting the Second Vatican Council that modernized the Roman Catholic Church. He has repeatedly referred to Francis as a liberal “servant of Satan” and a “false prophet” in public statements. Viganò is also known to be a big fan of U.S. President Donald Trump, a critic of gay rights and a supporter of anti-vaccine positions
