  • From Truman Show to Twilight Zone

From Truman Show to Twilight Zone

So when they say that we’re cooked because of artificial intelligence… they’re right. We’re cooked.

For a long time people believed we were in a slow boil. But we’re not. The pot’s been on long enough that we haven’t even recognized the fact that maybe a lot of things we thought were here for good are gone forever.

Let’s talk Hollywood for a moment. Let’s talk one of our favorite movies: The Truman Show.

If you remember as fondly as I do, Truman Burbank was a prisoner of a corporation that monitored his every movement and televised his life to the world. The film was cutting edge and asked deep questions back in the late ’90s, questions that are still painfully relatable today.

For those who loved the movie like we did, we always wondered: what happened to Truman after he left his hell? After he opened the door and escaped through that blue sky patch?

Well, thanks to a TikTok account using artificial intelligence, we can now find out, at least according to this individual’s imagined continuation.
Watching this AI-generated video of Truman Burbank finding freedom .. but at the same time finding a brand-new prison .. is deep on several levels.

    @ronan_tale

You’ve been asking for this for 27 years… We used Seedance 2.0 to write and animate the FULL sequel to The Truman Show — the untold story of what happens after he walks through that final door. This isn’t just a fan edit. This is the full follow-up we all deserved. TTheTrumanShowS#Seedance2 AAIMovieAAIT#TrumanShowSequel

On one level, it’s cool. It’s almost like watching deleted scenes or an alternate ending that was never created. But on another level, despite the fact that the AI is still a bit devoid of emotional depth and vocal fluctuation, it’s about as close to a realistic scene as you can get.

This is what scares Hollywood and actors so much is the fact that anyone in their living room can now do this.

If they don’t like a movie, they can create a new one. If they didn’t like the ending, they can come up with a better one. We saw that happen after Stranger Things when people disliked Season 5 so much that they began creating elaborate alternate endings of how they wanted the show to wrap up.
But back to Truman for a moment.

The precision here is breathtaking. We all knew the six fingers and warped faces of yesteryear were gone, but now we’re at a point where it’s almost indecipherable between reality and AI — and this video shows it. The voice inflections, even the monotone delivery, will get better over time.
We’re still in the infancy of this.

And if this is infancy… what do the teenage and adult years look like?
On another level — and we’re only half joking here — it’s interesting to wonder how much water was used to create this video. It takes a lot of energy and resources, and this one is pretty long. That probably means a whole lot of gallons went into bringing Truman back to life.

But take it a step further.

Whoever came up with the storyline deserves credit. We can absolutely envision that this is what Truman’s life might look like after he escaped. It feels almost inevitable that someone in his situation would remain a prisoner to society — people continuously watching him on their screens and convincing themselves his life is better than theirs, despite the fact that, as we can see, it’s not.
So I recommend watching the video we posted here that links to the TikTok account. They used Seedance 2.0 to create what we’re seeing.
    It’s scary.

And we have some choices to make — not in the future, but right now. The choices are staring us directly in the face.
Last week I read a Fortune article that talked about how, within 18 months, most white-collar jobs could be fully automatable — with people no longer needed in them.

    That’s fine and dandy.

All the Super Bowl ads reminded us that we can go gambling, take Ozempic, and apparently never work again thanks to AI. But at some point — at some level — we have to ask ourselves: if we stop making money in jobs, how exactly are we going to pay for the AI that’s supposed to make our lives easier?
    Choices. Lots of choices.

And just like Truman, who made a choice to escape a world he believed was a prison — only to potentially enter another one — are we doing the same thing with artificial intelligence?

Mysterious spikes in Earth’s ‘heartbeat’ are “scrambling human brains”

The UK Daily Mail is promoting an article about thr Schumann resonance. Spikes and alterations have been getting noticed for several months now .. People have claimed its having an effect on their personal situation along with the planet itself.

On Thursday, MeteoAgent reported that Earth’s Schumann resonance was still registering as high because of a moderate solar flare that had caused Earth’s magnetic field to become unsettled.

Scientists track these disturbances using an index that measures how much the planet’s magnetic field is being shaken by space weather.

The scale runs from zero to nine, with zero meaning calm conditions and anything above five indicating a geomagnetic storm that can disrupt satellites, power grids and radio signals…

YOU CAN READ THE FULL STORY HERE..

It would be intersting know if you have had weird experiences of spikes in your own energy field over the previous several months ..

  • Donald Trump says Obama gave classified information when he said aliens are real; then he said tonight he’s going to sign in order to release alien information!

Donald Trump says Obama gave classified information when he said aliens are real; then he said tonight he’s going to sign in order to release alien information!

Well, we’ve always wondered how disclosure would happen… and if it would happen.
And now that some people think it might actually be happening, a strange thing is taking place — some of the loudest UFO believers suddenly don’t believe in it anymore.

Tonight, Donald Trump made what he called an announcement of epic, universal proportions.
    Here’s the quote:

“Based on the tremendous interest shown, I will be directing the Secretary of War, and other relevant Departments and Agencies, to begin the process of identifying and releasing Government files related to alien and extraterrestrial life, unidentified aerial phenomena (UAP), and unidentified flying objects (UFOs)…”
    — President Donald J. Trump 

    So there you have it.
We’ll see what kind of files actually get released… and whether this truly amounts to disclosure. If it’s anything like other high-profile document releases, we may end up with pages of blacked-out redactions and very little substance. But this isn’t the Epstein file situation — at least not directly.
Of course, some are already saying this announcement is a distraction. That it’s meant to redirect attention away from other controversies. Others, meanwhile, have quietly hoped for years that Trump would be the president who finally oversaw alien disclosure.

And then it gets even stranger.

Trump also said that Barack Obama had already revealed classified information by suggesting aliens were real yet in the same breath, he admitted he himself doesn’t know whether aliens exist.

So what are we actually witnessing here?
Is this controlled disclosure? Political theater? A genuine shift in transparency? Or simply another layer in the long saga of government-meets-UFO culture?

If disclosure is happening, it feels… haphazard. Fragmented. Almost improvised.
And here’s the real twist: even if definitive proof of alien life were released tomorrow, would anyone believe it?

Public trust in institutions is so fractured right now that confirmation might spark more skepticism than celebration. The people who have believed for decades might question the timing. The people who never believed might dismiss it as manipulation.

We’ve reached a moment where the possibility of aliens isn’t the most unbelievable part … and with the amount of mistrust in the government people may dismiss disclosure as a fraud..

  • By now you heard a rumor and potentially spread it that Stranger Things will be a movie Next year.. Just Stop..

By now you heard a rumor and potentially spread it that Stranger Things will be a movie Next year.. Just Stop..

I’ve been seeing nothing but rumors online for about four or five days now claiming that a Stranger Things movie is coming next year.
    Here’s the problem.

    It’s not.
Now listen .. I’ll be the first to enjoy being wrong about this. Seeing the season finale of Stranger Things in the movie theater was great. I do wish the finale had been a bit different than it was, but that’s another story. At least I got to hear “Heroes” over the end credits on a big screen. That was cool.

But these baseless rumors about a Stranger Things movie next year? They’re circulating with no apparent source. No credible trade reporting. No official announcement. Just fake Netflix sites and fan accounts on social media repeating each other until it sounds real.
    And that’s the issue.

This feels less like news and more like a pressure campaign to will some secret “Conformity Gate” Episode 9 into existence, the mythical lost chapter that people are convinced was quietly made.

    This isn’t forecasting.
    It’s wish casting.
If this were the weather world, it would be the equivalent of declaring a blizzard because you hope it snows.

Now, will there be more Stranger Things-adjacent content? Of course. We already know the animated series is coming. Netflix is planning to film the Broadway play for eventual broadcast. There will be spin-offs. There will be knock-offs. There will be things inspired by it for years.
But that’s not the same as a surprise movie starring the original cast.

Let’s be honest. They’re not kids anymore. The Duffer Brothers have moved on to other projects. And unless the stars align in some truly weird Upside Down way, the idea that the gang is secretly regrouping for a theatrical film next year feels… far-fetched.

What bothers me most about these rumors isn’t even the rumor itself.
It’s when the comments start treating the rumor as confirmed fact.

    That’s how things snowball.

That’s how a baseless theory becomes a “factoid.”
That’s how next year rolls around and people get angry over something that was never promised in the first place.

Now again — I would love to be wrong. I’d absolutely show up. It would be fun to see what another installment could look like.
    But let’s face the music.

    It’s done, folks.
The only “Episode 9” you’re getting is AI recreations of what could have been… or fan fiction filling in the gaps.

And honestly? That might be okay.
We still have the memories. We still have the music.

And hey  we still have The Squawk over at wsqkfm.com.

    Unrelated to the show.
But the music will play on.

  • You can’t hate Hader horror

    You can’t hate Hader horror

Bill Hader will write, direct, and star in the upcoming horror film They Know, based on an original story he created with his “Barry” collaborator Duffy Boudreau.

They Know centers on a divorced dad (Hader) who grows suspicious that his ex-wife is secretly dating a mysterious man — someone who seems to be having a strange and unsettling influence on their children.

    This sounds pretty exciting.

When comedians go the horror route, it can be magical. We’ve seen it before. The late, great Robin Williams stunned audiences in One Hour Photo,  a performance that proved just how thin the line can be between charm and menace.
And there’s something about Bill Hader that, despite the comedy, is somewhat creepy. He has this ability to take humor to a level where it almost becomes frightening. There’s a precision to his performances — especially in darker moments — that makes you uncomfortable in the best possible way.

That’s why this could turn out to be something special.

If he leans into that unsettling edge while maintaining his emotional depth, They Know could be a consequentially wonderful horror film.
    Looking forward to it.

  • We’re not just squawking about #TheSquawk, they’re playing music again

We’re not just squawking about #TheSquawk, they’re playing music again

We wrote a few weeks ago about this TikTok account we’ve been following for WSQK.. The one and only Squawk, and how it seemed like someone got green light permission to build a radio station tied to Stranger Things Season 5, but not officially through the Duffers or Netflix (at least, not that we could confirm).

Since then we’ve tried reaching out for more info to the fine British lad who runs the streams and the social accounts. We haven’t heard back yet — so we still don’t have confirmation straight from him — but from watching his videos and how the station operates, it definitely feels like it’s a fan-based station that was allowed to exist, not something Netflix or the Duffers are directly managing.

What is real and has been reported is that a real-world “WSQK The Squawk” station was launched in conjunction with the final season of Stranger Things by UK broadcaster Global, in partnership with Netflix U.K. as part of the show’s promotional experience. It plays nonstop ’80s hits, has in-universe segments like “Rewind at 9” and “Talk to Tammy,” and was set up to mirror the fictional radio station from the show…

That station has run on DAB in London, on Global Player, and through smart speakers (just ask Alexa or Google to “Play The Squawk”). It was initially planned to broadcast into January and presented by DJs like Mindy Flare and Vance Goodman .. the same voices we all grew up with (lol) ..

So it does seem as though a real, licensed, pop-up station was created around the finishing of the show and not just a random fan project. But who owns the wsqkfm.com site and runs that specific stream? That’s still unclear and we haven’t found any reliable ownership info through public record or domain lookup, so we’re not including guesses here.

Still, if you’re like us and just can’t quite let go of Conformity Gate or the nostalgia of the ‘80s, you’ve probably been blasting the WSQK playlists all afternoon — and hopefully that’s been a blast for you as well.

    OBAMA NON-DISCLOSURE ABOUT FACE

The former President was speaking about Donald Trump and ICE on a podcast this weekend–but something he said about aliens took a life of its own. In response to a tongue in cheek question about UFOs, Barack Obama said they are real.. but he hasn’t seen them.

So there we had it! Disclosure! They are real!

    Until they aren’t…

Obama quickly gave us aliens and then tooketh them awayeth..
    He went on social media:

    ABOUT FACE..

  • Nick Pope is saying his goodbyes

Nick Pope is saying his goodbyes

This is a sad story developing..

Author, journalist and TV personality Nick Pope ran the British government’s UFO program, leading the media to call him the real Fox Mulder. He’s recognized as one of the world’s leading experts on UFOs, the unexplained, and conspiracy theories. Nick is the media’s go-to person for UFOs.

And now he is using X as a platform to announce some very troubling news and effectively say goodbye to this planet a his announces a battle with cancer that is in stage 4..

A Message From Nick Pope: A while ago, following some digestive issues, I was diagnosed with esophageal cancer.

Unfortunately, it’s Stage 4 and has metastasized to my liver. While I know that it’s kindness and hope that leads people to suggest healers and supposed miracle cures, and to say things like “fight it”, and “you can beat it”, I’m afraid my diagnosis and my situation leaves no doubt whatsoever: I can’t beat it.

What an amazing adventure I’ve had! A 21-year career at the UK Ministry of Defence, where I got involved in subjects ranging from financial policy to counter-terrorism; from military policing to UAP. And I saved six cows; it’s a long story! The things I’ve done; the places I’ve been; the people I’ve met; and the secrets I’ve been privy to. I wouldn’t have swapped it for the world. And then a second career, where my previous government UAP role brought me to the attention of the world’s media, leading me to become a regular commentator on TV news shows and documentaries, as well as consulting and acting as spokesperson on various UFO and alien-themed movies, TV series and video games. The media called me the real Fox Mulder!

The true highlight, of course, is life with my wonderful, beautiful and incredibly smart wife, Elizabeth. She’s a real-life Agent Scully: a scientist, a skeptic and a redhead. We met randomly in the lobby bar of the Fairmont Hotel in downtown San José (she was an anthropology professor at San José State University) in October 2010 and got married 3 months later. We applied successfully for my Green Card and she had me shipped over and imported to the U.S., where a new adventure began, as Elizabeth and I enjoyed wildlife watching at our wonderful home in Tucson, desert hikes, film noir, true crime, country music, Sunday lunches with my in-laws, and much more besides. Recently, we had an amazing one-year adventure in New York City, living 5 minutes from Times Square, and having a wonderful view of the Empire State Building from our apartment window.

We proofread each other’s books and articles (I love commas, hyphens and exclamation points way more than Elizabeth, and managed to win at least a few of those battles), and I’m  supporting her in her ongoing fight for free speech, academic freedom, and keeping political correctness, superstition and identity politics out of science and academia. The White House Press Secretary Tweeted one of her recent newspaper articles, which shows the huge impact she’s having.

I kept working for as long as I could (right up until last week), with my various film/TV interviews, conference appearances, and live events, including my position as moderator of Ancient Aliens Live – where I think I did 94 shows. Sadly, the time has come where I’ve had to step away from this work. A lot of people have followed my work on UAP. I’m loath to use the word “fans”, because I’m not a celebrity. But I am a public figure, and many people have followed me on my journey as I’ve sought to keep the UAP subject in the public eye, and to frame it as a defense, national security and safety of flight issue – as well as a fascinating science problem. Some of this work has been public knowledge, but some such work, of necessity, has been done behind the scenes.

I hope I’ve helped move the needle forward. But most people, of course, know me through my media interviews and live events. To everyone who’s followed me on my journey, thank you – and good luck with your own journeys. I wish you every success and happiness.

It’s all been amazing, and I’m grateful for the things I’ve done, not mournful for the things that I won’t now get to do.

  • Silence of the trans

    Silence of the trans

According to an article in the Hollywood Reporter, the folks behind the classic thriller said “there’s regret” when it comes to their portrayal of the sexually confused serial killer Jame Gumb/Buffalo Bill.

“There are certain aspects of the movie that don’t hold up too well,” said Ted Levine, who played Buffalo Bill. “We all know more, and I’m a lot wiser about transgender issues. There are some lines in that script and movie that are unfortunate.”

“It’s unfortunate that the film vilified that, and it’s f***ing wrong. And you can quote me on that.”

When discussing the adaptation of Buffalo Bill from the pages to the silver screen, producer Edward Saxon explained, “From my point of view, we weren’t sensitive enough to the legacy of a lot of stereotypes and their ability to harm.”

Fans of the film are fuming on social media about the commentary being made by the makers of the film…

Transgenderism was on the fringes of society 35 years ago, so I think we could all forgive filmmakers for not having every subtle nuance of the community represented in their film or how society would view people who are transgender in 2026..

The vast majority of moviegoers actually didn’t even make the connection between Buffalo Bill and transgenderism.. He was a sadistic killer in the film.. and Anthony Hopkins ate people. Horror..

Ted Levine himself: “I didn’t play him as being gay or trans,” he said. “I think he was just a f***ed-up heterosexual man. That’s what I was doing.”

Also people point out that those debating this now are missing the point of the book and the film–and if they would have read the book, this could be viewed very differently..

Jame Gumb failed the psychological evaluations that are requirements for sex reassignment surgeries. Because he wasn’t trans; he was a psychopath. The care he needed wasn’t surgery it was mental health help. Thats the whole point.

And some posts on X have showcased a 1991 litigation of this issue on television then and the reaction then..

    https://twitter.com/lylegoodale/status/2022874021508108500

And it is true.. there were lots of articles and news coverage of this in 1991..

This could be a moment in time where history shapes up differently than how it was looking contemporarily.. but clearly for those of us who lived through 1991, this new article seems to be a bit odd given the big debate that actually DID OCCUR 35 years ago..

  • Obama casually admits aliens!?

    Obama casually admits aliens!?

    yes.. OBAMA ADMITS ALIENS

    This one seems siren worthy!!

Former President Barack Obama said that aliens are real but he has no idea where they are during a podcast appearance released Saturday.

“They’re real, but I haven’t seen them,” Obama told YouTuber Brian Tyler Cowen after he asked him about extraterrestrials.

So they are real.. but haven’t seen them. We are cautious here–perhaps this was not necessarily an admission? Perhaps the wrong use of language.. not careful sentence construction…

But he …said they are real. REAL.

The former president did not offer any further details on what he mean by “real” — and no follow-up questions on the topic were asked — but he used the appearance to cast doubt on several longtime theories as to where they might be.

    MORE..

“But what is true — and I’m actually being serious here — is that there’s footage and records of objects in the skies that we don’t know exactly what they are,” he said.

So after all of these years.. did a former president just factually and yet casually announce disclosure?

The former president also addressed the controversies of the day, including the current president posting a video that had a snippet of him and his wife Michelle..
