While the cast has already read through the first seven episodes of season 5, they gathered to read the script for the final episode on Gaten Matarazzo’s 22nd birthday.
Reflecting on this emotional moment, Matarazzo shared his experience during a broadcast.
“I was like, do I want this to be my birthday? Adorably enough, [Millie Bobby Brown] and [Noah Schnapp] made me a cake the night before. Then it smooshed on the way over and settled weird—it was very reminiscent of Hagrid’s cake to Harry in the first ‘Harry Potter.’ But it was enough to make me feel emotional just in that moment, before we even sat down to read it.”
He went on to describe the powerful emotions in the room as the cast prepared to read the series’ final chapter.
It was one of those [moments] where I’m like, ‘I’m not going to let anything get in the way of me feeling centered and loving of this room and this piece of paper and everybody here that’s reading this, because this is family.’ And it was really intense. It was really… It was a beautiful moment that I’m really glad that I have. After we’ve finally seen how it’s wrapping up, it really is just like: OK, now let’s just focus on doing it, now that we know what this arc is from [Season] 1 to 5.”
During a recent interview with US Weekly, Hamilton shared that she has been having a good time working on the final season of Stranger Things. “I do get to be there for table reads and watch it unfold and be part of it. I’m thrilled to be part of it,” she said. “But I just never, ever saw that one coming. It is different when you’re a fan of the show to sort of go, ‘Well, how do I fit?’ But we’re working on it. It’s good. It’s really good.”
She added, “I’ve watched every season with relish. I just love it. So it’s kind of, like, imposter syndrome where I don’t [feel that I] fit in there. That’s a whole world set in the ’80s. When you really buy into something, you don’t see yourself in it.” Because of this, Hamilton confirmed that she won’t be able to enjoy the series the way she used to. “I think in a way, it kind of ruined the show for me. I never watch [a project], once I’m in something,” she continued. “It would just completely take me out of the reality of it to see myself in there. So I won’t be watching [Season 5].”
There have been countless memes circulating for years about the length of time Stranger Things has been taking to just be done.. What began in 2015 (a lifetime ago at this point) still is being filmed in 2024.. COVID delays. Hollywood strikes.
It feels like the show was cursed even more than Hawkins was in the script.
But the end is nigh.
A new season is being filmed–will we see it in 2024? Nah.. It seems more likely that 2025 will be the time frame for release on Netflix.
And while we laugh and make jokes and jabs about the length of time, it is clear: We will watch.
And quite frankly, we cannot wait until the finale. Despite the fact we additionally are in fear of just who the Duffer brothers will be killing off or banishing forever to an upside down.
Filming begins! Lots of rumors will, too.
Good luck to the cast and crew.. We NEED Christmas in Hawkins..
The Duffer Brothers made an appearance at the premiere of Stranger Things: The First Shadow yesterday. During interviews with the media at the event, they shed light on the long-awaited final season of Stranger Things. According to them, the filming process is expected to span approximately a year.
“I mean, it’s gonna hit at some point, but right now we’re stressed mostly. Because we have about a year of shooting to do, and I was looking at the schedule last week and going, oh boy. I mean, listen, I mean, yeah, we’re very focused on the work, trying not to think about it ending, because that’s gonna be hard. It’s gonna be super bittersweet. And I think that’s how the entire cast feels.”
In addition, the Duffer Brothers disclosed that they have already conducted the table read for the initial six episodes of the final season. However, they mentioned that they would read the scripts for the last two episodes later due to the anticipated emotional intensity of those particular scenes.
“We read six of the eight scripts last week, but we purposely did not read the last two. Because we’ll do that later, because that’s gonna be very emotional.”
Furthermore, the Duffer Brothers have officially confirmed that the ultimate season will consist of 8 episodes. Filming is set to kick off in January 2024, with the production anticipated to conclude by the end of the year.
The controversy began when the Stranger Things star stepped into the Israeli Gaza war… social media users have now reportedly leaked his phone number and other information..
..additionally , Noah Schnapp’s home address and the location of his restaurant TenderFix have also been exposed on the internet… both of his private Instagram accounts have been leaked, resulting in a flood of hate comments for the actor.
He is now receiving death threats, with individuals urging University of Pennsylvania students to target him.
The show’s creators, the Duffer Brothers, recently teased what to expect from the last episodes of the hit show when speaking at an event in Los Angeles last week (via The Hollywood Reporter). The duo explained that it’ll have the tone of season one, matched with the scale and scope of season four.
Ross Duffer said: “I think that what we’re trying to do is go back to the beginning a little bit in the tone of [season] one, but scale-wise it’s more in line with what [season] four is. Hopefully, it’s got a little bit of everything.”
He called it a “culmination of all of the seasons, so it’s sort of got a little bit from each, whereas before each season was so distinctly — three, this is our big summer blockbuster season with our big monster; four was the psychological horror.”
This sounds pretty great. Season 4 was fine. But season one held a special place in our hearts as it was an immensely amazingly accurate portrayal of the 80s combined with a great story and even more amazing acting.
He graphics of season 4 coupled with the simplicity of season 1 will be just perfect—all we can hope for from 5 seasons of Stranger Things…
Perhaps life is now imitating reality? This is pretty bizarre..
Few weeks ago when Stranger Things 4 was released, it was rumored that the Duffer Brothers were actively changing previous shows to either fix mistakes or solid up the story line.
People started hearing clock noises in season one when Will was abducted.
Most recently it was rumored by viewers that the scenes where Jonathan Byers is taking photos of Nancy Wheeler… the scenes from season one have been called ‘pervy’ and viewers noticed they were now gone..T
As pointed out by Insider, the scene in question was featured in “The Weirdo on Maple Street,” the second episode of the inaugural season. The original version showed Jonathan Byers, portrayed by Charlie Heaton, hiding in a wooded area as he spies on his classmates and snaps photos of their late-night get-together. At one point during the scene, Nancy Wheeler (Natalia Dyer) and Steve Harrington (Joe Keery) go inside the house for an intimate moment. Jonathan continues photographing Nancy through a bedroom window, but pauses once he sees her starting to undress.
In the original episode, Jonathan only hesitates for a few seconds before continuing to take photos of a shirtless Nancy. Fans the scene has since been edited out of the streaming version, as it no longer shows Jonathan taking photos of Nancy in a vulnerable position. Instead, Jonathan lifts up his camera and turns his direction to Barb Holland (Shannon Purser).
Is it me? Or have they edited the episode "The Weirdo on Maple Street" 🤔
The official Twitter account for the show’s writers’ room posted the following message on Tuesday (26 July): “PSA: no scenes from previous seasons have ever been cut or re-edited. And they never will be.”..
Some fans on social media claimed that they remembered that, in the “original” scene, Jonathan continued to take photos of Nancy as she took her clothes off, which is not what happens in the version of the episode on Netflix now…
The show states they aren’t making changes—and they did not edit out pervy Jonathan scenes..
So what do you remember ? is this some weird new example of CERN going hog wild on a show that subtly deals with time travel?
Are the writers lying?
Or are we all just mistaken, and creating false memories ..?
