THE GLOVES ARE OFF ON BELLGAB: PAGE 666 BEGINS A WAR

Anyone following the ART BELL saga knows what site BELLGAB is.. it’s the home to a dedicated fan base of various people from all walks of life who, in the spirit of online honesty, come together to lament the way Coast to Coast AM has changed since Bell left as the prime steward. But now it’s becoming the new hangout for Bell himself, who has previously utilized the message board during his Sirius stint, but appears to be stressing a more active role on the site.

Last night, the gloves came off on page 666..

Premiere Radio networks has been airing a program each Saturday called ‘Somewhere in time’ for years, much to the chagrinne of Bell, who has asked them repeatedly to cease the weekly show. Instead, they continued it. This week,  after Bell announced his new program will air on the Dark Matter Radio network in July, Premiere chose an interesting program for the Somewhere in Time. It was a show from 2002 in which Bell not only alluded to a future trip with his wife at the time–one that would became fatal and tragic–but also had a caller doubting George Noory. Bell told that caller three words that have lived in infamy: “George Gets It.”

Last night on BELLGAB, Art Bell himself posted a message showcasing his acknowledgment that Premiere used the Somewhere in Time show as not only a shot at Bell but also a reinforcement that Bell once said Noory ‘gets it’ in relation to the themes and reason that Coast was successful to begin with. Bell wrote this:

One last thing since we are on 666, Yikes 667 already!…..”He gets it” is what GN’s new Boss asked me to say.
Gee, just one last thing, that they have chosen that show only shows me that little beads of sweat are on their faces. Frankly I don’t care what they do, only what I WILL do.
                                                                                                      Art

P.S. Georgie, when you are forced to mention my name after every show please throw something in about July!

    Entertainment can be cruel.
Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose.

In the Sirius radio botch, Bell admitted that he lost that battle and Premiere radio won. There sounds to be much more to the story, one we may hear in July when Bell freely and for FREE broadcasts his program across the internet. Bell even admits that AM radio is dying and the future is through social networking and online podcasting. Some fans wish he would have entertained that long before he considered Sirius radio. But history is history.

What is clear for the present time,  though: The gloves are off. If Bell senses he lost a battle,  he may have regrouped for the war. All eyes are on Bellgab for more.

George Noory himself went there before he called users ‘haters.’

As the battle continues..Stay tuned for more. As always, we will be following. And actively engaged on the message board as well.

  • IT’S ON: ART BELL LOOKS TO MAKE FOURTH OF JULY 2015 FIREWORKS

IT’S ON: ART BELL LOOKS TO MAKE FOURTH OF JULY 2015 FIREWORKS

There has been some recent doubt as to whether ART BELL would return, but a message posted to Facebook tonight seems to make it official: Art Bell will face George Noory.. However, Bell will debut his program on the DARK MATTER RADIO NETWORK for free..

    Bell wrote,

Hi all here is a update,

Here is the way I see things: Starting in late July Dark Matter makes a return five nights a Week
from 9PM-12AM P.T. on DMRN. The Stream will be at a higher bit rate and FREE to all.

As I mentioned a Producer is needed and it looks like we have found a really good one, Paul will
    also be able to assist.

I will be depending on all of YOU as well as my FB followers to spread the word far and wide on
Social Media. A blitz if you will, BUT not yet, it’s still too early, but I will give you all the word, we don’t
need magazine’s and we sure do not need AM radio to spread the word, Social media has far more
power, I have seen what YOU can do.

We will start building the Studio in March or so and as I have mentioned I will absorb the cost
myself. This will be a labor of love because I do dearly love Talk Radio. There will only be enough content
from anything else to give myself a short break every hour, or put another way, almost no commercials.

There are other very exciting aspects of what this show will have, but again it is simply too early to give
away what is coming. Trust me it is exciting.

    Art Bell

There does not seem to be any bit of doubt in his words..
He showcases excitement and especially emphasized the free streaming aspect …

A developing story–and one that still appears to be evolving..

An official word of this has also been placed on ARTBELL.COM ..

While Bell may want people to wait to blitz social media, his message tonight will not stay hidden for long.. Twitter, BELLGAB, and other sites—including this one–have already been busy broadcasting the development..

  • SHARP JAB: George Noory anti-Science? Art Bell thinks so

Art Bell, considering making a run at online broadcasting later this summer, launched a missile at his potential rival George Noory on Coast to Coast AM tonight on Facebook, further showing the bad blood that exists between the former and current host of the late night radio program.

Bell said this in a Facebook post,

I just got a Facebook message from a listener who was very concerned that George Noory is having Guest’s on urging people not to get their children vaccinated! I am not a listener to Coast but if true it is beyond irresponsible

    Bell continued,

I don’t want to believe it’s true but if so please look at the real science George, this is just plain dangerous.

The recent measles and flu scares have caused a vicious debate to surface in media and pop culture about the safety and importance of vaccines. Noory as host of Coast’s newest incarnation has phased into a more government conspiracy program as opposed to paranormal version made famous by Bell. As a result, Noory has entertained numerous guests who have questioned the safety of vaccines and tied them to autism and other malfunctions of the brain. The most recent guest is the controversial Doctor Sherri Tenpenny. Tenpenny spoke to Noory concerning a burst of controversy about an anti-vaccination speech she had planned for Australia. Just today, it was announced that Tenpenny has canceled her land down under blunder..

But it’s also not the first time the subject matter has been entertained on the program as proven by a search of past shows. While it is not clear which specific guest Bell may have been referring to, his point is clear: He is not in the camp that believes vaccines cause danger bad enough to refuse them. Without a doubt, Bell’s would have also had have to been given many himself, traveling between the Philippines and the United States an untold number of times.

Readers of the HORROR REPORT will know, this is not the first war of words between Art Bell and George Noory–and will not be their last. Despite Noory’s reference to Bell at the end of each one of his shows, Bell has repeatedly said he wants nothing to do with Premiere Radio Networks or Coast to Coast AM..  His brief stint on Sirius radio featured a number of verbal strikes on Coast. While the program did not last, his loyal fan base is still hoping for fourth of July fireworks with a return of Bell to Dark Matter Radio Network site created by Bell’s longtime webmaster Keith Rowland. Recently, Bell dropped some hints that gave fans pause about a return, saying a big “IF” on the BELLGAB website on the ART BELL THREAD..

The comments on Facebook tonight were greeted mostly with agreements, however some naysayers on vaccines also spoke up to defend their position. The overarching theme however was disdain to what Bell fans perceive as Noory doing to Coast to Coast AM, changing and maligning the program’s intent and now, if you agree with Bell’s position, offering listeners very bad if not dangerous science.

Bell continued the dialogue in his Facebook post. At one point he address Noory’s constant use of his name at the end of the nightly show, saying,

I have asked asked for a very long time that George NOT mention my name as I would rather not be connected to what Coast has become, thus far he has refused to stop for a reason I can not grasp.

Another commenter called Noory a slimeball. Bell responded to that,

Let’s not call names, for me it is very simple, George Noory and myself have very different visions of what the show should be to the degree that I do not want my name associated with it. Obviously he will do what he thinks is right.

One comment was written by a woman believing that Bell was ‘set up’ in his Sirius program. Bell responded to that, as well:

Cindy, in fact I agree, however business is War and I lost that battle in part due to my own stupidity, a mistake I will not make twice.

One interesting aspect of tonight’s thread is how much more involved Art Bell seemed to be in the conversation compared to posts past. Typically, Bell drops a line and it’s liked and commented on by hundreds, but he is not heard from again. This go, however, seems to have peaked his interest. On one hand, Bell’s love of science is evident. On the other, his dislike of any association with Coast is apparent.

As expected, there is reaction on BELLGAB that will most likely continue as the posting beat goes on. It’s doubtful that Noory and company will issue or speak of any official response to Bell, but it will certainly be fascinating to see what type of attention vaccines get on future Coasts.

  • Art Bell streaming now in question

Art Bell streaming now in question

UPDATE: Art Bell has announced that differences have been worked out and his return is solidified for July 2015.. more here..

    The original story:

ART BELL PULLS HIS WEBSITE AND DITCHES LONGTIME WEBMASTER.
Is his newest return over before it even begins?

Controversy began days ago when Dark Matter Network radio host Jimmy Church posted a photograph of himself standing with Coast to Coast AM host George Noory. The message that accompanied it: He would host Sunday’s upcoming Coast to Coast AM program. The outcry was immediate; fans of Church on the Dark Matter network smelled a rat.. and foes said it was what they expected.

The notable part of Chruch’s sudden apprenticeship with Noory is that his Fade to Black program is on the network built by Art Bell’s webmaster Keith Rowland. The Dark Matter network was also the expected vehicle for Art Bell’s return to streaming radio in 2015 when his Sirius XM non compete clause expired.

    Until now..

Last night, a seemingly angry Art Bell took to Facebook to announce several things, including his website being taken down and any mention of his name ont he Dark Matter page being scrubbed.

In totality, Art Bell wrote this to his fans and followers,

The Dark Matter Network was established as a Forum to showcase new Talent and as a place where after my two Year Non-compete was done (In July next Year) that I could begin streaming live, it was run by Keith Rowland and of course a alternative to Coast. In the last few days I began getting email’s from many of you who could not believe that one of the Talk Host’s on DM was invited to do a Guest Host gig on Coast. This was done I am sure to irritate me which it did, however the straw that broke the camels back was that Keith did not have the courtesy to call me. When I called him, his response was “don’t worry he will stay on DM and Coast”. At that point I decided to pull my Web Page and asked Keith to remove my name from the site. This is not about Jimmy Church, I wish him all the luck in the World, this is about trust in relationships.

Where this leaves me in terms of where I can stream a show now is a open question. What I do know is I have to be able to trust the people I work with.

    Art

The message was strong: A rift has seemed to develop now between Bell and Rowland–the man who has been Art’s right hand webmaster since the early days of the internet all the way to the Sirius XM shortfall.

Rowland himself posted  brief responses to the Bell message on Facebook:

So because I didn’t call Art and advise him that Jimmy would appear on C2C, I’m tossed under the bus, even though many DMRN hosts and guests have appeared on C2C already

    Rowland went on to write,

The appearance of Jimmy Church on C2C was to promote the Dark Matter Radio Network, the place where Art Bell was to return. I’m sorry that Art did that see that as its purpose.

I would love to resolve the issue, but Art doesn’t trust me anymore. I’m sorry that I wouldn’t be part of the Art Bell web site any more. I am running Dark Matter Radio Network as a basis for Art, but maybe that wont happen.

The always popular and readable BellGab website immediately lit up overnight with questions as to why ArtBell.com was suddenly unavailable. Some argued it was an error with the DNS. Then the truth came out when a message poster who emailed Rowland said that Rowland’s response to the web troubles was ,  “Ask Art.”  Other posters guessed correctly what the problem was: The Jimmy Church exploration of Coast.

Apparently, as was expected by some watching the affair develop from the beginning, Rowland did not bother to mention to Art Bell that one of his radio allies was about to cohort with the enemy.

This newest event seems to continue the process of Coast to Coast AM constantly one upping the talk show giant. Bell left Coast to Coast and George Noory took the program into a new direction. Fans of Bell often will complain that Noory bastardized the Bell traditions, like open lines and Ghost to Ghost. After Bell came back to SiriusXM radio for a short stint, Coast began plucking off guests from Bell. Even more, they worked behind the scenes with Sirius radio and when Bell left, Coast to Coast AM took over the time slot he had occupied immediately. And now this newest event, plucking hosts away from the Dark Matter network, is the newest dagger.

Some will argue, including Jimmy Church himself, that when a big named national radio show calls and asks to host, you don’t say no. That may be true. But in Art Bell’s circle, it seems that trust weighs far higher in the pecking order than fame or fortune. The private and often quirky Art Bell’s beef does nto seem to be with Church, it is apparent that the focal point of the newest controversy is his relationship with long time friend Keith Rowland.

Those who understand the situation know this: A host being taken from the DARK MATTER network to host the enemy terrestrial radio program is a big deal. For Church, it could be the deal of a lifetime. It may begin a new career as a potential weekend host on a radio program with over 500 affiliates. But for Bell, it apparently is something he wanted to know about. He did not find out for Rowland, but instead fans on Facebook who undoubtedly expressed anger in a multitude of messages.

So where does this leave Bell?
Up in the air, as so often happens.
The planned return to radio was going to be done in a new medium for him: Live streaming.  However, this rift seems to have stalled that plan.

There is a number of opinions being expressed on forums across the Internet, most notably on Bellgab. Some are angry at Bell himself, arguing that this is simply another temper tantrum and that he was looking for a way out of coming back. The majority however saw it coming. When Church announced his no professional relationship with George Noory–a man he once did not say many kind things about–the writing was on the wall: He wants to move on from Dark Matter. Keith Rowland neglected to tell Art that.

It’s tough being a fan of Art Bell. You never quite know where he stands on certain things. And when you do think you have it figured out, he takes his website down and exits the stage again.

As the famed ‘bateman’ on Bellgab said today: “Someone shit the bed big time here.” Perhaps the perfect summation to Church on Sunday.
