Ruby Franke, Utah YouTuber, arrested on abuse charges after malnourished child in duct tape found!

There are clips trending on TikTok and other social media platforms from the YouTube channel “8 passengers”, now defunct.

But it doesn’t matter, they maintain the same sickening quality they had when they first aired.

Ruby Franke, the Utah mom behind the now-defunct family YouTube channel “8 Passengers,” was arrested Wednesday on child abuse charges after authorities found a malnourished minor with open wounds and duct tape on their extremities, officials announced.

Franke’s business partner, Jodi Hildebrandt, was also arrested on the same charges. The two regularly collaborate on relationship and parenting advice videos for Hildebrandt’s life counseling service ConneXions. ConneXions has been criticized in the past for its teachings about parenting, including prioritizing the organization’s “principles of truth” over a person’s children

Alec Baldwin may still face charges: Analysis shows he may have pulled the trigger on RUST set!

Actor Alec Baldwin may face charges again in the “Rust” movie set shooting after a second analysis of the gun involved alleges he pulled the trigger.

Baldwin has consistently maintained that he did not pull the trigger of the pistol that fatally shot 42-year-old cinematographer Halyna Hutchins and wounded director Joel Souza on the New Mexico set in October 2021.

In April, involuntary manslaughter charges against him were dismissed, with prosecutors saying the gun might have been modified before the shooting and malfunctioned. Prosecutors commissioned a new analysis of the gun.

A new gun analysis report, dated Aug. 2, assembled for Santa Fe County special prosecutors Kari T. Morrissey and Jason J. Lewis  found that the gun was not modified.

  • A family is accused of earning $7.6 million by taking cans and bottles from Arizona and recycling them in California

A family is accused of earning $7.6 million by taking cans and bottles from Arizona and recycling them in California

Prosecutors say what the family did is fraud.

We have heard of extreme couponing. It doesn’t compare to this scheme to ‘save the planet’ and earn millions in what prosecutors call fraud and illegal.

In a felony complaint filed this month, state prosecutors charged eight family members in Riverside County with defrauding the state by importing used bottles and cans from Arizona — some 178 tons in 8 months — and recycling them in California.

The recycling operation earned the family $7.6 million, according to a statement from the office of California’s Attorney General, Rob Bonta. Investigators also found a stash of “illegally imported beverage containers” worth another $1 million.

When someone purchases a plastic or aluminum bottle in California, they typically pay an extra 5 to 10 cents in “California Redemption Value,” or CRV, which the consumer can get back by returning the items to one of the state’s more than 1,200 recycling centers. Arizona has no such program.

“California’s recycling program is funded by consumers, and helps protect our environment and our communities,” Bonta said. “Those who try to undermine its integrity through criminal operations will be held accountable.”
