Another day, another autism study
Autism rates are high. So are obesity rates. And tonight, a study that somehow tries to link both together is getting a lot of press and air time.. More on that study here if you wish to grin and bear it..The basic gist, if you couldn’t get the relation, is that moms are really obese before they get pregnant.. and then after …jeeezsh.. that recommended weight gain puts them in a tip the scales category. Of course, no matter those skinny moms and dads in skinny jeans that ended up with an autistic baby.. Indeed, indeed..So tonight, if you’re a big fat pregnant woman who lives near a freeway and has a husband and father-to-be who is over the age of 35 and works with computers, your child may be autistic. But the vaccine won’t do it. No worry. It’s certainly interesting. All these years and we still can’t truly pinpoint what cases Alzheimer’s or autism. All the brain power going towards finding the causes.. all that brainpower lost on the mysteries of the brain.More than $1billion has been spent over the past decade to try to find out the reason that children have autism. Hopefully the $1billion will pay off over the next decade.Until then lose weight, move into the country, and quit the computer job. And get younger, too. -

The Easter vigil: Pope Benedict warns that evil threatens mankind
Pope Benedict warned this evening that darkness itself has descended upon mankind itself and threatens our future..
Life is stronger than death. Good is stronger than evil. Love is stronger than hate. Truth is stronger than lies. The darkness that poses a real threat to mankind, after all, is the fact that he can see and investigate tangible material things, but cannot see where the world is going or whence it comes, where our own life is going, what is good and what is evil. The darkness enshrouding God and obscuring values is the real threat to our existence and to the world in general.
If God and moral values, the difference between good and evil, remain in darkness, then all other ‘lights,’ that put such incredible technical feats within our reach, are not only progress but also dangers that put us and the world at risk. With regard to material things, our knowledge and our technical accomplishments are legion, but what reaches beyond, the things of God and the question of good, we can no longer identify”

Easter candy time
I get no money for this product placement, but by God, the best candy ever made comes out this time of year: Cadbury mini eggs. Loved them since I was young.. still do now. The best tasting chocolate to fill a basket. Get them this weekend and eat them… They’ll be discounted in three days. -

The tornadoes that hit Texas today were awful
And this video showcases it as a man videotapes his own home as the supercell passes.. a man literally shaking with fear as his videotapes the tornado.. the sirens in the background are audible.
Altogether today, at least 12 twisters hit Texas. Softball sized hail fell too.. very severe storms ..
Widespread damage. No deaths.. no injuries.. Miracles happen. As do disasters… -

Autism awareness, a day later
Yesterday people from sea to sea wore the colors of the sea in order to remind others that they need to be aware of autism. Lots of families didn’t need the vast sea of blue in order to be reminded; it is present in their daily lives, all day.. all night. All of the time. What we know about autism is this: Studies constantly contradict each other, or refute each other.. or muddy the already dirty water. We know that there are correlations to things but so far no concrete causation to anything. We have heard and read about studies that say vaccines do it. America is heavily vaccinated and America has really high numbers of autism. But dozens of other studies contradict Wakefield, we are told.We also know this, for what it is worth:- Autism Linked to Higher Precipitation Levels
- Donald Trump Claims Autism is Caused by Vaccines
- Living Near a Highway May Contribute to Autism Risk …
- Utah’s autism rate doubles in six years
- Utah has nation’s highest autism rate
- And what about the bees? Autism and Disappearing Bees: A Common Denominator .
- Is Autism Linked to Genetically Modified Foods?
- Older parents more likely to have an autistic child
- Link between advanced maternal age and autism
- US researchers find link between age, birth order and autism .
- Later-born children at higher risk for autism
And we are not done yet- Autism Linked to Maternal Exposure to Pesticides
- BPA linked to atypical childhood social behaviors …
- Toxic metals may influence autism severity
And we could go on.But what the media tells us we cannot go on about, despite the dozens and more studies claiming autism is linked from everything from nuke plants to the type fo knife you cut bread with, we cannot go on about vaccines. And in the end.. why are the numbers so high? The confusion! The mighty mighty confusion. No rhyme or reason to those correlations mentioned.. then the media shuts down and any attempt to ask difficult and probing questions on the vaccine industry and the chemical cocktails used within them..I guess we can be comforted by the contention that autism rates are just what they always were. More screening and more light shed on the subject equals higher rates. Right? That sounds good. But 1 in 88? Some states 1 in a lot less? Now that is not just more testing.. that is a bomb of autism that somehow we as a society need to grapple with. Even if we have to ask tough questions and, instead of choosing the road we travel, just see where the journey takes us. -
