The recent flurry of activity that news is coming from the Large Hadron Collider has not quieted with time. The announcement from those at CERN say there are few places left for the God particle to hide..
The Higgs boson is thought to be tied to a field that is responsible for giving all other particles their mass. The rest of the story is one of deep scientific terminology.. those who study in depth what the researchers are CERN are doing may even be hard pressed to explain the operation to the lay person.. but even the lay person would be able to understand the consequence of the God particle being found: It could start to answer some of the most important questions about the existence of this universe and how we became what we became.
The scientific explanations would precede the philosophical and ethical arguments that would most surely stem from a massive scientific announcement of the building blocks of life being isolated.
One message to the EarthInformer previously on CERN news went this way: “What if we find out that we are a part of some massive CERN and they created us to see if we can find out if we would ever realize we are a science experiment?”
