Once again this site is a work in progress

Trying to get it linked with Twitter.. trying to get it out into the public that it even exists. So if you should happen to come across us here, only two days old, be a friend and do spread the word of it..

Meanwhile, working on some other news stories.. trying to get some contacts.. and trying to figure out where to start .. Earth’s news. World chaos. Too much to even read.

The ever expanding power of the dark side

    How the past people ate

They were what they ate–literally.. New information shows just how much cannibalism was relied upon in at least one culture..

But the jobless don’t want them? The New York TIMES reports on the state of migrant labor, American labor, and the H2-A visa program.

Canary in the Coal Mine: A swarm ..

An earthquake swarm is taking place in the Canary Islands.. Amost 10,000 earthquakes in recent weeks and no sign that the earth rattling shaking is going to subside.. Even today, number 2.somethings have developed and rattled nerves–and rattled people already closely watching El Hierro, the volcano that is poised to rumble yet again.

Rumors and fear aside (there are those who claim a mega tsunami could develop), it’s a story that EarthInformer will be watching and reporting on.. and one that is sure to continue it’s interesting development as time tick tocks on..

The big melt in the North..

Harrowing news from NASA as they release this: Arctic Sea ice declined to the second-lowest extent on record. Satellite data from NASA and the NASA-supported National Snow and Ice Data Center (NSIDC) at the University of Colorado in Boulder showed that the summertime sea ice cover narrowly avoided a new record low.

Scientists have watched it unfold for three decades.. and now, a new low for the ice..

Joey Comiso, senior scientist at NASA’s Goddard Space Flight Center in Greenbelt, Md, said “The sea ice is not only declining, the pace of the decline is becoming more drastic. The older, thicker ice is declining faster than the rest, making for a more vulnerable perennial ice cover.”

Earthinformer.com will try to get in contact with Mr. Comiso for more on the troubling news..
