The Biden Administration, still reeling from its sloppy withdrawal from Afghanistan, is trying to put focus back on the coronavirus in the United States.
There are rumors that an announcement will be coming eminently that will recommend booster shots for nearly all Americans who received the COVID-19 vaccine, either within the past eight months or eight months ago.
Also word is that Johnson and Johnson vaccinated people will have to also get a booster, or else suffer potential consequences of the Delta variant…
What makes all of this confusing is the fact that it’s confusing! Only days ago the FDA and CDC and other alphabet health organizations or publicly stating that there would be no need for booster shots. That the MNRA vaccines, mostly they have excluded Johnson & Johnson from commentary, or affective against the variance.
However it would appear that the White House could’ve looked at Israel data, which shows that there was some susceptibility for people who are vaccinated to still succumb to the Delta variant..
So what’s next?
COVID-19 will be considerably more of a political football, it will still ravage, some will still call it fake, others will still wear 2500 masks, and the beat will go on…
But hopefully the death toll and hospitalization rate does not continue to go on, as it has been immense.

If you didn’t notice over the past several weeks since the Delta Strain of COVID-19 began to circulate widely and now take center state in the summer wave, journalism has been .. just weird.
On one hand, endless news media talking heads have used the term ‘unvaccinated’ as though they want to round up Americans who didn’t get the jab and electrocute them. Some have said they are guilty of murder.. take away their children, a few decry!
Meanwhile, the same reporters are admitting that vaccinated Americans are spreading COVID with their viral loads. Perhaps not getting as sick, but potentially giving the Delta variant to the unvaccinated masses in some circles of former friends.
The CDC has admitted breakthrough cases could end up being in the tens of thousands if not more. Heck, it seems every day we hear about someone in the Yankees baseball organization developing COVID–vaccinated Yankees no less.
So these breakthrough cases are causing confusion. Mass confusion. And yes, mass debate and hysteria.
Life in America in 2021 is a little more brutal on the COVID anger front than even back in the worst year in modern history, 2020. After all, back then we only had to scream out heads off about masks and social distancing. Now the hatred and hostilities over shut down orders behind us, we have moved on to government overreach vs the follow the science corners.
Rational discussion? HA! Not only a thing of the past but perhaps it will never return again.
We have fully replaced it with click bait headlines that have articles with nothing to offer but hysterical analysis and little to no facts..
Who what when where why has been replaced by talking points and one-sided sarcasm.
Journalism ain’t anything like it once was.
If people can get passed the vitriolic hatred that both sides on the vaccine debate have towards each other and try to just research what you can, things may be a little worse.
So what can we learn from this leaning tower of babel?
You can take your pick on which vaccine snobbery you side with.. you can be like Burger King and have it your way with the study of your choice.. but if anyone, ANYONE in the media, is confused as to why there is vaccine hesitancy, just watch your own news and read your owner stories for a few hours.. then tell me what to think.

Sen. Rand Paul, a Kentucky Republican, has been suspended from YouTube for seven days over a video claiming that masks are ineffective in fighting Covid-19, according to a YouTube spokesperson.
“This resulted in a first strike on the channel, which means it can’t upload content for a week, per our longstanding three strikes policy,” the spokesperson said. “We apply our policies consistently across the platform, regardless of speaker or political views, and we make exceptions for videos that have additional context such as countervailing views from local health authorities.”
Paul has been outspoken over the last year, question Dr Anthony Fauci regular in tense testimony .. Paul also succumbed to a Covid infection in 2020, and argues that his natural immunity is as strong as a vaccine..
Overall, it found that the Moderna vaccine was 86% effective against infection over the study period, and Pfizer’s was 76%. Moderna’s vaccine was 92% effective against hospitalization and Pfizer’s was 85%.
But the vaccines’ effectiveness against infection dropped sharply in July, when the Delta variant’s prevalence in Minnesota had risen to over 70%.
Moderna was 76% effective against infection, and Pfizer was only 42% effective.
The study found similar results in other states. For example, in Florida, the risk of infection in July for people fully vaccinated with Moderna was about 60% lower than for people fully vaccinated with Pfizer.

The new COVID Delta variant in the United States is getting more people sick quicker–and these people are younger.
Over the course of the pandemic, our hospital system has diagnosed more than 15,000 children and adolescents with covid – a number that is trending up. About 10 percent of them have required hospital admission. Up to one-third of children admitted to our hospital have required critical care – including oxygen delivered through high-flow nasal cannula, non-invasive ventilation and intubation with mechanical ventilation. When I discharge children from the hospital, I know that many of them have a long road to recovery, and many will require follow-up for cardiac clearance and long-term care in our hospital’s long-covid clinic. More than 300 children across the United States have died from covid since the beginning of the pandemic, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. Most children with covid will make a complete recovery, but up to 10 percent, including those with mild illness not requiring hospital admission, go on to develop months-long symptoms of long covid.
At this point some of the information seems anecdotal only. However stories match. People who work in the medical industry report a very big difference between COVID in 20 vs 21.. Nick Papacostas, MD, the president of the Alaska chapter of the American College of Emergency Physicians, tells the Anchorage Daily News, that he’s seeing in his emergency room people “sicker and younger than we were seeing last year, requiring either hospital admission or ICU admission. They’re really more intensive to care for, because they’re more ill.”
Many people are unvaccinated and seems to be targeting younger Americans, those age 50 and under, more than did its predecessor, according to Inci Yildirim, MD, PhD, a Yale Medicine pediatric infectious diseases specialist and a vaccinologist.
Back in June, this was widely reported: “The Delta variant comprises well over 80 percent of what is circulating in the U.S.,” Dr. David Hirschwerk, infectious diseases specialist at Northwell Health in New York, told Healthline. “It is likely that Delta will continue to circulate in the fall, but naturally we all will be carefully scanning for the emergence of new variants.”
According to the recent CDC data, in the week ending July 24, people ages 18 to 49 are the largest demographic hospitalized for COVID-19.
This age group is currently affected far more than those ages 50–64 — and significantly more affected than the next oldest group (ages 65 and older), a trend that began in March of this year. Just a few days ago, the New York TIMES reported more tidbits from around the nation of the average COVID patient being younger than the frail aging boomers in 2020.
“Something about this virus is different in this age group,” said Dr. Catherine O’Neal, chief medical officer at Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center in Baton Rouge, La. “We always saw some people who we just said, ‘Why the heck did this get them?’ But that was rare. Now we’re seeing it more commonly.” “I think it is a new Covid,” she added.

Iceland, one of the first countries in the world to abolish all COVID-19 restrictions for vaccinated tourists, may see recently reimposed safety protocols in place for 15 years, according to one of the Nordic country’s chief medical experts.
Despite the overwhelming majority of Iceland’s adult population having been vaccinated, chief epidemiologist Thorolfur Gudnason said he cannot rule out that reintroduced COVID-19 restrictions may become necessary for many years to come.

His comments come amid a rapid rise of the Delta strain, with the fully vaccinated making up a large proportion of the new infections.
“It can happen, no one knows what the future holds,” Gudnason told local newspaper Morgunbladid. “That is what we have been saying all along, that there is no predictability in this.”
Thorolfur Gudnason saidthat the COVID-19 epidemic will not end in Iceland until it is abolished all over the world.
He also admitted that the vaccine protection against infection was lower, maintained that the defense against serious illnesses was still estimated at 90 percent.
On 26 June, the Icelandic authorities chose to remove all domestic restrictions, prompting media outlets across the globe to hail it as the country that vanquished coronavirus. At that time, not a single case of COVID-19 had been registered in several weeks, and no deaths since December of last year had occurred.
A week after the crowds descended upon Provincetown, Massachusetts, to celebrate the Fourth of July — the holiday President Joe Biden hoped would mark the nation’s liberation from COVID-19 — the manager of the Cape Cod beach town said he was aware of “a handful of positive COVID cases among folks” who spent time there. “We are in touch with the Health Department and Outer Cape Health Services and are closely monitoring the data,” Alex Morse told reporters.
The outbreak grew from that point.. Then the situation turned more troubling: A large number of those infected were vaccinated Americans!

As of Thursday, 882 people were tied to the Provincetown outbreak. Among those living in Massachusetts, 74% of them were fully immunized, yet officials said the vast majority were also reporting symptoms. Seven people were reported hospitalized.
The initial findings of the investigation led by the Massachusetts Department of Public Health, in conjunction with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, seemed to have huge implications.

Delta variant growing across America, the President and Staff are now appearing to don the masks again across the grounds of the White House.
The requirement was back after the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention said new research showed even vaccinated people could transmit, in rare cases, the more contagious Delta variant.

Reporters and photographers wore masks. Members of the press office wore masks. Biden did too — he was photographed with a mask while talking with an opposition leader from Belarus before leaving for a trip to Pennsylvania.
Vice President Kamala Harris got a head start the day before, wearing a mask during a meeting with Native American leaders. An aide passed out masks to any journalists who had already fallen out of the habit of keeping one handy.

The President said
Thursday called on state and local governments to use funds from his $1.9 trillion American Rescue Plan to offer $100 payments to individuals in order to incentivize coronavirus vaccinations.
The payments would be offered to newly vaccinated Americans to provide “an extra incentive to boost vaccination rates, protect communities, and save lives,” the Treasury Department said in an announcement Thursday afternoon.
“Treasury stands ready to give technical assistance to state and local governments so that they may use the funds effectively to support increased vaccination in their communities, and Treasury will partner with the Department of Health and Human Services throughout this effort,” it said.
