  • Robin Williams and the FAMILY GUY

Robin Williams and the FAMILY GUY

By now you’ve most likely been sent a link to a video on YOUTUBE saying that the FAMILY GUY had a predictive programming episode and that the Illuminati killed Robin Williams. It’s outlandish, and absurd..But it’s still somewhat creepy to see how the story got its wings.

The BBC was airing a repeat episode of the FAMILY GUY, presumably around the same time on the planet that Robin Williams was cutting his wrists and placing a leather belt around his neck to kill himself..

The FAMILY GUY episode was 22 from season 10.. The story: Peter is outraged by a roast of Robin Williams on TV he thinks is too mean.. He eventually goes into a coma, and wakes up with the power to turn anyone he touches into Robin Williams. Then he gets angry at the number of Robin Williamses in the world so he attempts to kill himself by jumping off a cliff, but landing on Mrs. Doubtfire. He then cuts his hands off..

Now think of this: While people were undoubtedly laughing at the BBC airing of the episode, directly after it was over, the BBC cut in and said that the real Robin Williams, in real life on the real planet, killed himself..

The BBC was suddenly put into an awkward position and a spokesman had to conclude it was an uncanny coincidence that the show aired right before real news broke..

But it’s certainly not the first time the FAMILY GUY seemed to be ahead of the curve.. Another strange moment of pop culture took place when the TURBAN COMBOY episode of the FAMILY GUY was a little too close for comfort to reality when the Boston Marathon bombing occurred in 2013..FOX pulled the show..

And now, this new incident of FAMILY GUY weirdness took place..

But certainly not predictive programming.. and certainly not Illuminati killings..

Robin Williams killed himself. Sometimes the truth is stranger than fiction–and sadder than a dark comedy.

  • Imagine no religion. It’s not easy even if you try

Imagine no religion. It’s not easy even if you try

As so often happens during free-flowing conversation with me, I got into a somewhat intense chat yesterday with a few friends and co-workers..Typically, my ‘devil’s advocate’ style of arguing enrages some who don’t quite understand I am always attempting to trick them into disagreeing with their own point of view..

The topic at hand yesterday was actually something that reared its ugly head from my colloquial area. A gay couple was denied a cake from a popular bakery in Schuylkill Haven, PA.. the CAKE PROS was actually a business my wife and I entertained in 2007 when we got married, but we found a better deal.. Now, in the modern age of quick news online, their name is being besmirched throughout the nation due to their ‘Christian’ moral of denying same sex couples baked goods..

And this is where we are in the world..

There is something amazing to me about what wars Christians choose to fight and what banners of zeal they decide to wear on their sleeves..

For a little bit of full disclosure, I was born and raised Catholic. I don’t regret it, as it actually gave me a sound foundation in grade school and let me fight religious professors in high school with knowledge.. But as any Catholic does after years of education, I grew doubtful in my 20s and now, in my 30s, completely and utterly confused as to the purpose of life and whether, big question time, a personal God even exists to begin with.. maybe I’m not in the Stephen Hawking camp yet, but more in the Michio Kaku corner: that a personal god is illogical but a god of order is more true. Math always seems to add up. Electricity makes sense.. perhaps the God I choose to try to understand is a God of those two subject matters.. Or maybe the real God will be wagging his finger at me on a high throne when my demise occurs, as my lifelong doubting Thomas type mindset never seemed to go away..

But that is me.. Confused and pondering the meaning of all of it.. not a believer or disbeliever.. just someone searching for answers. Clues.. Any signs that aren’t just by chance mistakes on the grand scale of life..

While it seems I am digressing, I’m not. I am attempting to paint a somewhat vivid picture of my mindset vs others..

    Back to cakes..
Yesterday, there was one particular hard core Christian, whom I know and love and think is a great person, that expressed a sentiment that the Cake Pros thought process is not abhorrent but instead quite fine. I posed the question: If the pastor of the church you go to suddenly says he will allow gay marriages in her church, will you quit? The question caused her to become flustered.. she was torn. On one hand, as a literal believer in the Bible and someone who endorses the 6000 year (flawed) theory of the age of the planet, she is right at home in the church she attends. The Bible is an historic account, she says.. It’s all true. And even those parts of the excoriation of women or the killing of innocent as a punishment from God? Well they happened but they’re glossed over as ‘events of a time we don’t understand.’ While everyone has the right to believe what they do, this person I speak of denies science and disregards any evidence presented through carbon dating or other scientific method as a parallel to truth, and quite possibly of Satan himself attempting to trick the faithful into doubt.. She also thinks Satan has done the same for me–no matter how many times I tell her I am investigating all of life and trying to find answers without simple blind faith.. Nonetheless, the question on whether she would quit this church, one that espouses all of her own convictions, due to gay marriage taking place, was difficult.. Finally, after obvious blood pressure hit her forehead and confusion hit her brain, she answered: “Yes.” She would quit..

And this is the battle Christians in the United States are attempting to fight, at this time.. right now.

    Gay marriage.
    Same sex love..

To make matters worse, during my chat with this person, she said that gay people still have a choice whether they want to sin or not.. So I asked her back: “Why did you choose to be straight?” That question irritated her to high heaven, much more than I expected it to..
There were no answers..Instead the conversation ended quickly and we agreed to disagree..

I find the entire premise of fighting over gay marriage to be contrary to any common sense..
I am 33, and I think I am apart of a generation that began not caring. I grew up with the ‘not that there’s anything wrong with that’ joke from Seinfeld.. Characters on television programs were quietly incorporating same sex love long before adults noticed. While my high school years still were filled with gay hate in some circles, the rest of us knew that fawning the most hate were probably simply hating their own impulses anyway..
Things have changed. More and more states are going to allow gay marriage.

But hard core religious believers will still pump up their iron of anger and quote scripture to condemn those in love…All the while ignoring most of anything important actually happening on this planet..

There is a great divide of common sense in Christian quarters, in my thought..

In Iraq, ISIS, or IS, is busy slaughtering Christians in big numbers.. sure, fellow Muslims who believe in a slightly different timeline are getting cruel punishments, too, but the big target seems to be the infidels. Men, women anad children–kids–are being sliced in half .. Beheaded.. pressed.. stoned.. They are being deprived of food and water and forced to perish in horrible and long drawn out deaths.. They are being burned. Buried alive. Tortured. And some families are being forced to throw their own children off of cliffs to kill them –a better option when compared to the inevitable treatment when ISIS comes to town..

But Christians here? Worried about gay marriage..

There is something very dangerous about religion–something that we as a civilization should have dealt with long ago..

The logic escapes me, as well.. While this is not an endorsement of atheism–I am not that but instead searching for answers as mentioned prior–but perhaps the line from John Lennon’s song IMAGINE about thinking of a planet that had no religion is in order.. If there’s no religion, no belief system to divide us, perhaps we will become a united people ready to achieve our destiny: Inhabiting the stars and populating our galaxy with life.. Maybe we will not be cutting children in half because Mohammed said so. And perhaps the Christian crusades in which the same behavior occurred would not have taken place, either..

Maybe the light of life that is in every child’s eyes will not be indoctrinated by hate disguised and love, or judgement pretending to be discernment.

    30-jpg

If there was no religion, perhaps we would start getting closer to actually finding who or what created us.. Maybe without ancient texts to get in the way, we would be able to scientifically trace back the origins of man and find the missing link.. Hell, maybe we’d even find out the grays did make us as a science experiment but that they are confused we have souls..

I look at my own son before bed each night. He sleeps in peace, most times and sugar-depending.. He is inquisitive about what his world, so far, is.. But I still weep for those children who don’t have have a peaceful sleep.. Those awakened by bombs overhead or the cries of suffering mothers at the hands of hateful and dreadful human beings hellbent on opening the gates of Hades on this planet. I contemplate the mothers of the children of the disappeared.. I loathe those who profess faith while driving BMWs to their giant Sunday services in convention centers.. I disdain religions that set rules contrary to human emotion.. And I get infuriated when people quote God to justify their heartless and ungodly acts.

    But ain’t that Earth?
The truth will set us free.. what if that truth is that all religions are frauds and that the issues we have been told are important are nothing more than divisive ways to control population? I think that’s exactly what religion so often is..

Pope Francis has lots of impromptu photo ops. But there’s always a photographer at the ready, isn’t there?

Is anything real? Is nothing real?
Gay marriage is real to some.
The world is real to others–especially those suffering in it..

The quicker we move on from old antiquated belief systems the better..
There’s a world of trouble out there. It’s time to move on from the world.

    The Ebola scare

Skeptics In Sierra Leone Doubt Ebola Virus Exists »

Sierra Leone is at the epicenter of the Ebola outbreak. But many people there don’t think the virus is real. Others are so frightened by Ebola that they’re afraid to take sick relatives to clinics.

This is fascinating, and a symptom of oppression and constant upheaval in certain places on the continent of Africa..

So many in the hot spot for Ebola don’t think it even exists..While workers, government officials, and military personnel all drive around in cars with loudspeakers—cars that feature images of people looking like zombies, vomiting—some listening are ignoring.. Ignorance is what may be causing the virus to spread faster and further than ever before in recorded history of Ebola.

NPR reports on some of the Ebola deniers:

Opinions are mixed, but there’s a strong dose of Ebola deniers— those who don’t believe the virus exists at all. Zainab Koroma, a street hawker, is adamant it isn’t real.

“I do not believe Ebola exists because none of my family members has been affected by it,” she says. “When you get sick of cholera, they say it is Ebola. When your body temperature rises, they say it is Ebola. So I honestly don’t believe Ebola exists. There could be a lot of other diseases killing people.”

That’s one of the challenges facing Sierra Leone — trying to convince the nation that “Ebola is real, Ebola is here, and Ebola kills,” as one poster reads. Some people do survive, if they receive medical care early, as soon as they fall sick.

The case of 32-year-old Saudata Koroma transfixed the nation late last month. She was brought to a faded blue government hospital in Freetown, feeling unwell, and was admitted.

“Yes, and we were suspicious that she had Ebola, and she was put in isolation,” says Amadu Sesay, the doctor in charge of the hospital. “The tests proved she had Ebola. Prior to the arrival of the test results, the relatives of the patient stormed the facility. They stormed this hospital and took the patient away.”

When his staff learned Koroma had Ebola, Sesay says, they had to track her down. But it took some time. “She was put in an ambulance, but unfortunately on the way to [an Ebola clinic in] Kailahun, she died,” he says.

And with that epic account, more infections were spread due to the denial of the disease..

The world may spin their eyes at tales of denials of a deadly virus, but consider some facts: You may live in a nation absent these abuses:

    1. Harsh conditions and treatment in jails
    2. Female genital mutilation, forcibly done
    3. Widespread government corruption
    4. Rampant discrimination from the government based off of sexual preference
    5. Child abuse and trafficking, with high officials involved
    6. Forced child labor
    7. And this: A civil war that actually killed 25 times as many people as the Kosovo war did.. During wartime, children were often forced into the military and women were raped in brutal attacks.

All of that while the world ignored, and then Sierra Leone was put on the United Nations Human Rights Council in 2012.

So doubt that Ebola exists? Common sense would tell someone it’s real.. But live in a nation where the citizenry has been oppressed by a tyrannical government, and it’s easy to see why disbelief in reality is rampant.

  • Hoax or Axe?

    Hoax or Axe?

An image printed by the UK METRO has gained popularity in paranormal circles.. some see evidence of a ghostly figure, while others say it’s a major hoax and can be dismissed as that.

The story, as printed by the less than always reliable tabloid across the pond:

A man clutching an axe inside an old military frigate doesn’t make for your typical ghost story, nor does it make typical fodder for an internet hoax.

But a photograph showing a ghostly figure with an axe in his hand aboard a decommissioned military vessel on a dry dock has gained a lot of traction on social media sites.

Stevgoldhound, who posted the picture on Imgur yesterday, claims it was taken by a colleague of his called John who works as a dock foreman.

John apparently took the picture while snapping work areas and navigating deep within the ship with a torch. He didn’t see anyone while taking the images.

Another user of the site cleaned up the image and came up with this. Creepy huh?

It is creepy, if real.. Even if not real, the image is genuinely jumpy.

The METRO story goes on to say that this person, only with one name of Stevgoldhound *I assume a user name from somewhere online?* is a skeptic.. Even more, supposedly, a search was conducted and there were no people aboard the ship. Matey. And finally, the one-named onliner also said his friend ‘John’ could simply be blowing smoke up his ass. Maybe. And all of the internet world, too..

At this point: I am placing this one in the fun but fake category. No evidence to showcase any thing real.. nothing which proves the user names are true, and certainly no real information that offers any credibility to the story.

But it is a creepy image.

  • Horrific stabbing shocks town

    Horrific stabbing shocks town

There’s something deeply wrong out there.. Perhaps always was, and made much more easy to learn about with the internet’s super highway connecting all of the vast portions of the world together..

This is what is known about a brutal Michigan killing: A 12-year-old boy stabbed another boy, age 9, in a playground.. There seemingly is no connection between them. They don’t appear to have known each other.. Th 12-year-old stabbed the other in the back with a kitchen knife..  The 12-year-old calmly approached a man close to the playground after the stabbing, and asked to use a phone.

Reportedly the boy said he was unloved..also this: He took multiple pills earlier in the day.

As if the entire story wasn’t chilling enough, this is how the culmination of events took place, as CNN reported:

Police said that after he was stabbed, Conner managed to run back home before he collapsed on the porch. An ambulance rushed him to a hospital, where he died Monday night.

Lawhorn, meanwhile, “left the playground then went to a nearby residence where he asked to use the phone,” Kentwood Chief of Police Thomas Hillen said.

“I thought he was calling for his parents to come pick him up,” homeowner Glen Stacy told CNN. He wasn’t. “He called 911,” he said.

Stacy described Lawhorn as “calm and collected” throughout, and that he told the 911 dispatcher, “Hi, I just stabbed someone, please pick me up and come kill me, I want to end my life.”

    MORE here..

There can be dozens if not more questions applied to this news brief. A kitchen knife? From where.. parental guidance lacking? Mental problems undiagnosed? So many aspects to the story that are difficult and time consuming to contemplate.

In the mean time, a 9-year-old family is grieving a tragic and abrupt loss of someone they love..
    Horror in the playground..
    The kids aren’t alright.

  • FRESH WATER FROM LAKE ERIE

    FRESH WATER FROM LAKE ERIE

    Fresh water from Lake Erie..

Not safe to drink.. Not safe to shower. Not even safe to look at..

The residents of Toledo, Ohio, are getting even more horrid news today.. Despite earlier allowances by official to bathe and shower in water (as featured here) in their city, now they are being turned not to use it to clean their bodies.. this after days of restrictions has 500,000 people scrambling to get fresh water..

    Story keeps getting worse..
Hopefully the toxicity of the water allows life to resume soon..

But looking at pictures like this, and others featured in news articles about the Erie algae bloom, the water looks more like the vat of chemicals that made Jack Napier the JOKER in 1989 BATMAN movie..

  • While we are watching the friendly skies for Ebola to land.. maybe it’s already here?

While we are watching the friendly skies for Ebola to land.. maybe it’s already here?

A doctor named Alan Jamison put himself in self-quarantine in his Tennessee home. While there are no reports that he has Ebola, he treated Ebola patients in Liberia…

He did this Monday—meaning that this entire week, while the United States debated whether bringing Ebola patients to a hospital adjacent to the CDC was a good idea or not, it  may have already here all along..

CNN is reporting on the doctor.. and also the fact that he has exhibited no signs of the disease yet..

Worth reading: Jamison has no symptoms at this point.

    CNN says,

He plans to be in isolation for 21 days, which is the incubation period for the disease or the time between infection and onset of symptoms.

“My last encounter with a patient who had Ebola was on July 19,” he said. “I contacted the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention on my arrival … and informed them I had been in West Africa and my history.”

The father of three said his daughter picked him up from the airport and dropped him at home, where he’s quarantined himself and has had no contact with anyone since.

Good thing the CDC knows about this..

    But I have a few questions…

How many other doctors, or people, are doing the same thing as Dr. Jamison? Should the CDC be more keenly aware, and are they even aware of everyone that may be doing this self-isolation treatment?  Should Dr. Jamison being transferred to the CDC location where these other two patients—who definitely have Ebola—are going to be housed ..?

But potentially even more troubling in my mind.. it’s a nice gesture to self-quarantine, but what about the plane he rode with others to get back to the United States?

There is one factor also worth considering—I did not know this until now. Ebola is only contagious after the 21-day incubation period.. That would make for a great sequel to 28 DAYS LATER, but it also creates a far greater chance for developed nations to prevent this disease ..

And let’s face it: The death toll is rough. 90% of those who contact Ebola die.. But a few hundred (conservative estimate, sure) of a few million people isn’t a lot.. Even in third world nations, where disease is abundant, Ebola is still hard to catch under the right circumstances.

The problem is the amount of distrust of governments in the African nations where the disease is hitting, and the refusals to be isolated and also, quite often, the fears of modern medicine..

  • EBOLA SUMMARY

    EBOLA SUMMARY

This is how African newspapers are covering EBOLA..

NOTE.. The ‘burn all bodies’ headline in the lower left.. I think this sufficiently answers my question from last night is in which I asked what will be done with bodies that have suffered death at the hands of the outbreak: Burning.

Meanwhile: Africa has sealed off the Ebola epicenter. A little interesting that, after all the deaths, they are finally doing this..

    The AFP reports this:

Opening the summit, WHO chief Margaret Chan told leaders that the response of the three countries to the epidemic had been “woefully inadequate”, revealing that the outbreak was “moving faster than our efforts to control it”.

“If the situation continues to deteriorate, the consequences can be catastrophic in terms of lost lives but also severe socio-economic disruption and a high risk of spread to other countries,” Chan said.

She described the outbreak as “by far the largest ever in the nearly four-decade history of this disease”.

“It is taking place in areas with fluid population movements over porous borders, and it has demonstrated its ability to spread via air travel, contrary to what has been seen in past outbreaks,” she told the summit.

“Cases are occurring in rural areas which are difficult to access, but also in densely populated capital cities. This meeting must mark a turning point in the outbreak response.”

The meeting came after Dubai’s Emirates became the first global airline to announce it was suspending flights to the stricken area, while the United States, Germany, France and Italy have issued warnings against travel to the three African countries.

US President Barack Obama announced on Friday that the United States will screen delegates travelling from Ebola-hit countries to Washington for a three-day Africa summit next week.

    The summit must go on.
    Captain Trips does not exist.

    Willing to test the shot?

    REUTERS REPORTS THIS:

The U.S. government will begin testing on people an experimental Ebola vaccine as early as September, after seeing positive results from tests on primates, according to media reports on Thursday.

The National Institutes of Health’s infectious disease unit is working with the U.S. Food and Drug Administration to put the vaccine into trial as quickly as possible, according to CNN and USA Today. The director of that unit could not be reached for comment.

So .. I’m curious to those reading.. would you such an experimental vaccine? …would a bigger crisis, and outbreak, make you more likely to take it?

    Ebolarola

It’s time. Ebola heads to America on a plane.. Arrival time: Saturday. CNN notes:

Ebola isn’t “some mystical pathogen (with) some bizarre mode of transmission,” the doctor noted, adding that it is transmitted similarly to illnesses like SARS or HIV. But while the Emory staff members are confident, that doesn’t mean they have experience dealing with Ebola, which the World Health Organization reports has infected more than 1,300 people and killed over 700 in recent weeks in Liberia, Sierra Leone and Guinea. In fact, no U.S. medical facility has had a known patient with the virus.

    It’s all new … Here.

    Ebola patients ‘refusing isolation’ »

This is one major reason this outbreak is so bad..
From all sources I have read: Those with the disease, or some who may get it, are either paranoid about their government’s actions or fearful of isolation, that the disease just continues to rapidly spread and countries unravel out of control..

CONGO’s President said that the disease is bigger than everyone..

And perhaps the best description is this: Fighting Ebola is like trying to change a tire in a hurricane..

  • Baby can you dig your man

Baby can you dig your man

    [youtube http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6WO8UrwJSe8&w=420&h=315]
Anyone who follows me or has read this website for any amount of time will know well that when I get worried about something, there’s a tendancy on my part to overkill the issue.. Ebola has been the latest bit of news getting me to tighten my tin foil hat..

The prospects of EBOLA being present in the United States—on purpose—gave me chills.. Yes, it’s Americans who obviously have the right to be in America, and we’re told the chamber fortress where the treatment in Atlanta will take place is safer than any place on earth.. but.. don’t you still get a bit of a chill hearing that Ebola is purposely being brought to the United States? That a hospital will treat patients here? Maybe I am too ‘American’ in my thought—-but to those who think I don’t care about Africans suffering the affliction, you’re wrong. I have been paranoid about this for years and have constantly worried about it, and reported about it… The latest outbreak is the worst ever seen.. Hopefully it burns itself out.. gets under control…

Let’s hope Captain Trips will not exist.

And yes, the man who discovered the virus says that he would sit next to someone on a train if they were infected with it.

    But would you?
    Would I?

There is chaos constantly on the planet earth.. It reminds me more than a bit like the opening scenes of the STAND, or opening paragraphs depending on how you discovered it..

EBOLA is coming to our shores.. it’s real, it’s on purpose.

Let’s hope and pray that all of those rational people saying there’s nothing to see here are right.

    But .. until then..

    Baby..can you dig your man!?
