I received this message today telling me to stop paying attention to the mystery Missouri priest

    The email said in part:

The only reason why people have different descriptions of this priestess because he never existed, it was not a figment of imagination or mass delusion
Instead, I think they’re all making this up, and they’re all doing it for attention

Quite the accusation, I have to disagree with it but I will say perhaps the confusion of the situation lead to the different descriptions of the priestly man..

  • The Missouri Priest story turns into the Walter Matthau mystery

The Missouri Priest story turns into the Walter Matthau mystery

Someone is throwing cold water on the theory that the mystery priest in Missouri was an angelic creature.. And that person is a Jesuit priest!
Father James Martin, author and priest, told the HUFFINGTON POST:

“Most likely the priest will be identified, and people will be able to thank him,” he told The Huffington Post in an emailed message Thursday. “If he’s not found, that may mean he wants to remain anonymous. Could it have been an angel? There are similar ‘angelic’ stories in the lives of the saints, when a figure inexplicably appears and cannot be located afterwards. There are angels, of course, but we tend to ascribe to angels anonymous acts that we find incredibly loving — when in fact human beings do incredibly loving things in hidden ways every day.””

The local Catholic diocese is trying to get to the bottom of the situation..  But so far no luck finding anyone who matches the descriptions or being at the scene..

But something even stranger about the whole affair.. The artists’ rendition last night was not done based off of the artist talking to witnesses, he did it based off of media reports. But there are actually very varied reports on what this priest looked like–as a matter of fact, it’s almost as though people had so many descriptions of him there had to be several priests there! Of course in the confusion of an accident, your mind perhaps races faster than you can understand.. But now this: One person is actually saying that the priest looked like a young Walter Matthau!

    So this:

How could the descriptions of this man be so wildly different from people all who say they saw him?

  • I stand corrected. But still won’t see the new Paranormal Activity

I stand corrected. But still won’t see the new Paranormal Activity

My friend the Cinema Psycho has some corrections on my story yesterday on the new Paranormal Activity. His message to me:

While you are correct that Paranormal #5 is coming out on that date…

“The Marked Ones” is actually the name of a spinoff of the series which is coming out on Jan. 3. Apparently they’re not counting it as an official entry in the series, but they’re calling it “Paranormal Activity: The Marked Ones”. Yes, it sounds silly to me too. From what I’ve read, it has an all-Latino cast and the story is only vaguely related to the other films in the series. So we’re actually technically getting TWO of these movies next year. I’m sure this will cause a bit of audience confusion…

    Thank you. It is confusing..
And I still say the Paranormal Activity-Athon has grown tired and pointless ..
I didn’t even realize the confusion until it was pointed out to me.. Thank you.

  • And now an artist’s sketch of the mystery Missouri priest revealed

And now an artist’s sketch of the mystery Missouri priest revealed

The artist hoping that it will help identify who the mystery priest was who helped at a car accident scene..

Tonight Clyde Lewis is airing some theories on who or what it is, including the grinning bald man of recent lure I perhaps a son eater of more ancient legend..

Either way, the image has a bit on a creepy factor to it, don’t you say?

  • Some personal thoughts on the priest who was, or maybe wasn’t

Some personal thoughts on the priest who was, or maybe wasn’t

The horrific crash site in Missouri

The story of the priest vanishing from a car crash scene has received national attention.. the HORROR REPORT featured this article yesterday, along with many other news sources.

Last night George Noory dedicated a full hour of his program on Coast to Coast AM to the story..

Yesterday the HORROR REPORT was not quite ready to call this a story of paranormal, instead figuring that something very normal and typical may have occurred.

Today, I am not so sure..

I was born and raised Catholic.. I cannot speak for the personal situations of persons in other religions, but I can describe the Catholic mindset. From birth through Catholic grade school, you have the catechism pounded into your brain with verbal sledgehammers and prayer punishments.. you live in fear that even uttering the word “hell” could send you into the fires of it. When high school hits, the birth of freedom sets in, and you question.. in your 20s, you still retain the residual pain of early childhood religious education, but you’ve moved on from it.. And by the time you’re in your 30s, everything gets murky. Everything in life does, too.. The meaning of it all.. the very existence on this planet is questioned.. we don’t know if we chose the right paths of career, personal lives, etc. And religion? Most 30 somethings I know have stopped going to weekly churches.. At least the 30 somethings who retain the Catholic mantle..

This story is real.. I don’t know what the meaning of it is.. however the fact that a dozen people or more, including Lentz, saw and heard this priest–but yet no photographs show him–is bizarre to say the least, and miraculous to say the most..

None of us reading this were at the scene–unless there is a rescue worker following in Missouri of the HORROR REPORT–so I do not think it’s fair to judge the situation according to our own personal beliefs..

The scene sounds like it was horrific, confusing, and dire..
And it is in those types of scenarios that things happen quickly.. and often the reality becomes much fuzzier..

Perhaps the key in this situation was Lentz asking the group to pray OUT LOUD. Very loud.. maybe strength in numbers brings on a miracle.. maybe a rising tide of collective consciousness lifts all boats..

Or maybe miracles an occur, and this is an example of one..
