Godzilla Minus Zero is stomping records. $13.5 million on Friday, including $6.7 million in previews, across 3,254 theaters — and it’s now tracking $30–33 million for the weekend. If that holds, it’s the biggest opening ever for a live-action foreign-language film in North America, nearly doubling the record Hero set back in 2002 ($17.8M). And audiences love it: an A CinemaScore, matching Minus One, which is almost unheard of for a subtitled release. 91% on Rotten Tomatoes, worldwide opening tipped around $60 million
