‘I do not have an explanation’: Pentagon official shows video of unidentified object

Deputy Director of Navy Intelligence Scott Bray shows declassified video of an unidentified object during a House subcommittee hearing on “unidentified aerial phenomena,” popularly known as UFOs.

Democratic Rep. André Carson of Indiana, the chairman of the panel holding the hearing, warned in his opening remarks, “Unidentified Aerial Phenomena are a potential national security threat. And they need to be treated that way.”

He went on to say, “For too long, the stigma associated with UAPs has gotten in the way of good intelligence analysis. Pilots avoided reporting, or were laughed at when they did. DOD officials relegated the issue to the back room, or swept it under the rug entirely, fearful of a skeptical national security community.”

“Today, we know better. UAPs are unexplained, it’s true. But they are real. They need to be investigated. And any threats they pose need to be mitigated,” he said. The hearing featured testimony from top government officials and the display of images and video of unidentified aerial phenomena. The public portion of the event lasted fewer than 90 minutes. Following the conclusion of the public hearing, the panel will hold a closed-door, classified briefing Tuesday afternoon.

During his testimony, Ronald Moultrie, undersecretary of defense for intelligence and security, argued there is a need to balance transparency with the protection of sensitive intelligence information, saying there is an “obligation to protect sensitive sources and methods.””Our goal is to strike that delicate balance, one that enables us to maintain the public’s trust while preserving those capabilities that are vital to the support of our service personnel,” he said.

IT IS ABSOLUTELY AMAZING THAT THIS HEARING TOOK PLACE IN PUBLIC.. And that we are talking about it with officials saying that they have absolutely no idea what these things are..

Summer shortage: The supply chain nightmare is going to get worse.. imminent warnings of diesel shortages on the East coast

Major trucking fleets across the eastern half of the US are preparing for an “imminent” diesel shortage, according to logistics firm FreightWaves.

Founder and CEO of FreightWaves Craig Fuller said “3 very large fleets” are preparing for diesel pumps at fuel stations to run dry. Drivers of these fleets received notifications about fuel shortages that could materialize in the coming weeks across the Mid-Atlantic and Northeast regions.

Baby formula shortage nightmare: “This is a crisis. We can’t flip a switch and make a lot more formula”

Modi is CEO and cofounder of Bobbie, a San Francisco-based direct-to-consumer seller and subscription service for organic milk-based baby formula that is produced in a Vermont facility and backed by $72 million in venture capital funding.

She’s acutely aware of the desperation in those outreaches, which have intensified in recent weeks amid an ongoing nationwide shortage of infant formula. A message at the top of the company’s website says, “We’re temporarily at capacity for new customers.” Other manufacturers say they’re producing at full capacity and making as much formula as they can. But demand is heavily outstripping supply.

This is an absolute nightmare scenario for parents who rely on baby formula to feed their infants. Store shelves are bare, and there are reports nationwide of issues.

  • ‘Long COVID’ is a growing public health crisis that could affect a billion in just a few years!

‘Long COVID’ is a growing public health crisis that could affect a billion in just a few years!

Long COVID may already affect between 7 million and 23 million Americans who previously had the virus, or up to 7% of the U.S. population, according to the U.S. Government Accountability Office.

Different estimates of how many people are affected with long COVID vary widely—from 10% to 80% of COVID survivors. More than half of COVID survivors report symptoms that persist after six months, Penn State College of Medicine researchers reported last year.

It’s a poorly understood condition that could disable over a billion worldwide in just a few years, says Arijit Chakravarty, a COVID researcher and CEO of Fractal Therapeutics, a drug development firm. Experts say that it’s quickly growing into a major public health concern already overwhelming primary-care physicians.

Preliminary reports indicate that the bodies were found unresponsive in two different locations; a man was found first in one villa with no signs of trauma, and the couple in a second villa, police said in the statement issued on Saturday.

The couple complained of illness the previous evening, according to the report.

Indonesia: Three children dead from suspected hepatitis

The country’s health ministry said the victims died from ‘suspected acute hepatitis’ last month and were all located in the capital of Jakarta…

    MORE..

Indonesia says three children have died from hepatitis amid global outbreak of mysterious liver disease — ‘bringing total death toll to four’

    Additional reporting in publications:

Their symptoms included nausea, vomiting, heavy diarrhea, fever, jaundice, seizures and loss of consciousness — all tell-tale signs of the deadly liver disease.

Tests are underway to confirm their cause of death. Indonesia has not officially logged any cases of hepatitis since the outbreak began.

The ages of the children have not been revealed and it is not clear if they had underlying health conditions.

    CBS reporting:

“At the moment, the Health Ministry is investigating the cause of the acute hepatitis by running a full panel of virus tests,” it said.

The ministry also called on parents to immediately take their children to hospital if they showed any sign of the symptoms.

The emergence of a possible new disease afflicting only young children — most are under the age of 10 with no underlying conditions — has sent ripples of concern through a global health community already grappling with COVID-19.

The WHO said that, in Britain, there was an “unexpected significant increase” in cases among young, previously healthy children, as well as in Ireland and the Netherlands.

Old McDonald’s bag AND fries found in a wall!!

On April 16, Rob and Gracie Jones were doing work on their 1959 Crystal Lake home, located about 50 miles northwest of Chicago.

Suddenly, they found a decades-old McDonald’s bag behind one wall.

“Rob was in the bathroom replacing the old toilet paper fixture,” Gracie told CNN Wednesday, “As he pulled the fixture out, he noticed a rolled up piece of cloth bunched up inside the wall.”

The couple had no idea they were about to discover decades-old fast food, CNN reported.

“At this point we’re both looking at each other wondering if we’d be calling the police because we just uncovered evidence from a crime scene!” Gracie said, “We were very relieved to have just found the old McDonald’s bag.”
