  • The Vatican has rocked the paranormal world: Changes to ‘supernatural’ rules

The Vatican has rocked the paranormal world: Changes to ‘supernatural’ rules

A new document from the Dicastery for the Doctrine of the Faith published on Friday, May 17, has updated the norms for discerning alleged supernatural phenomena.

The full story includes the link to the vatican release .

The norms come into force on Sunday, May 19, the feast of Pentecost. The document is preceded by a detailed presentation by Cardinal Víctor Manuel Fernández, Prefect of the Dicastery, followed by an introduction and six possible conclusions. The procedure allows for faster decisions while respecting popular devotion.

As a rule, the Church’s authority will no longer be engaged to officially define the supernatural nature of a phenomenon, a process that can require large amounts time to thoroughly study an event.”

  • The TikTok time traveler in the shed

The TikTok time traveler in the shed

    What a story!!

We have been following the stream of a TikTok user named Alec Schaal who claims a time traveler was in his shed..

    image

Here is the basics: Security cameras from the real estate TikToker from one of his air BNBs showcased a strange event: A younger looking man with a back pack, acting a bit odd, walks into his back yard. He walks into the shed.. He never comes out. All of this was caught on a security cam..

The owner called the police, and the cops could not find anyone in the shed or anywhere else.

A day later an older looking man walks OUT of the shed, stares at the camera, and walks away in the front yard.

All of the footage has been uploaded to TikTok. All of the evidence presented has been now become the latest hotly debated time traveler thread.

    image

    Calling Art Bell.

The story made TMZ a few days ago. Other news organizations are now picking it up.

Shaal even showed a video from the front yard cam.. the older gent seemingly walks slowly towards a car that is parked. He stared into the passenger seat, and walks away. Moments later, the later turns on and turns around and seemingly drives towards the man who walked away..

A cool story. A lot of people are critical and saying that Shaal is just trying to get attention.. Others are open to a time traveler…

Both sides of the spectrum, whether they doubt or believe, are invested in this story..

But what, if you can tell, is the logo on the shirt of the older man who comes out a day later……?

  • Getting back to basics on Ground Zero: The return of Clyde Lewis

Getting back to basics on Ground Zero: The return of Clyde Lewis

For weeks now, radio host Clyde Lewis has been missing in action.. until now: The radio legend is set to return in just days.

Ground Zero released a distressing message in June that Lewis was going to be out of commission and away from his fan base for several weeks. Timing could not have been worse: It happened just as the UAP hearings took center stage mid-summer.

In early June, executive producer Ron Patton posted this on the Ground Zero Facebook page:

Hello, Ground Zero fans! While Clyde is away until mid-August, I want to take the time and thank you all for your love and support toward the King of the Paranormal. He definitely covets your prayers and thoughts.

Although we are syndicated (we are on about 100 stations) Ground Zero has no ad revenue coming in, thus, we rely on Aftermath subscriptions to keep us afloat. Since Clyde is out of commission for 30 days while seeking intensive treatment at a weight management facility, we’d very much appreciate your financial support.

For those of you who are Aftermath subscribers, thank you so much. If you are not, please consider becoming a member. As a premium member, you’ll have access to our archived shows, documents, magazines, books, videos, webinars, and much more. Our basic membership starts at only $8/month. We will keep you posted about Clyde’s health journey. Take good care and let your family and friends know about the show!

Since that time, the show has made efforts to update Lewis’s fan base with his health goals being met.

The good news is, Clyde is set to return Monday August 21. Paranormal news has not stopped. The show is going to be busy..

We can’t wait for his return.. while the guest hosts have done a fine job at keeping Ground Zero lively, the special style and voice of Clyde Lewis can light up a dark night..

It will be equally intriguing to hear about Clyde’s personal health struggles—along with stories of wolves he posted that he saw. That sounds interesting.

In our anticipation we reached out to the show and received a statement attributed to Clyde Lewis himself..

    Lewis told us,

“There is no rest when things get wicked!” This is why I have to come back — too many things to observe and report and I will do my best to continue what I do best — Solid theories and entertaining paranormal stories’. Looking forward to be in touch with all whose love and prayers kept me going.

It absolutely sounds likes he’s rested and ready return..

Countdown to Ground Zero. A legend returns.

  • Welcome to the mini War of the Worlds

Welcome to the mini War of the Worlds

Think about this.. it was science fiction to predict government officials would orders militaries to take down unidentified aerial objects, of unidentified craft.

But for the third time *that we know of* the United States military took one down.

On Saturday night February 11, there was a long strange odyssey over Montana. The FAA restricted airspace and all eyes were on tanker jets on Flight Aware refueling fighters.. However, we were told in public statements that the military would continue to monitor the object and reconsider in the morning..

So here is the fact that we know, from public official releases from the White House and Pentagon: The US and Canada brought down three high-altitude airborne objects this month, including one Washington said was sent deliberately by China for surveillance. Beijing countered that it was a harmless weather-monitoring device that blew off course…

And now this spicy news from China: They apparently say they have seen an object flying and THEY intend on taking it down over their nation..

WE assume the military knows a bit more than they would tell us, of course, but people are clamoring to know what in the world, or other world, they are. With the silence comes conspiracies.. On one hand we have been worried about World War III, but maybe we missed the beginning of War of the Worlds in the process!

Talking about these objects being anything other than mannade is speculative .. people would slam it as conspiracy. But consider the fact, as we mentioned opening up this post, we have been hearing of the military spotting UAPs for years.. Pentagon officials have silently warned Congress that they did not know what the objects were. Now, after spotting and taking down the Chinese spy balloon, the new objects being shot down apparently don’t completely match that M.O.

From news accounts in Canada: The object was “cylindrical” and smaller than the suspected Chinese balloon shot down last weekend, Canadian Defense Minister Anita Anand said on Saturday evening. It is not clear what the object shot down over Canada is or whether it is related to the spy balloon shot down last week or the unidentified object shot down over Alaska on Friday.

But it is not just objects. It is lights in the sky as well.

Late last month, mysterious green laser beams were spotted from Hawaii’s tallest peak. Experts initially said the burst of laser beams was emitted by a NASA spacecraft though that was proven incorrect this week – with evidence pointing to a Chinese satellite.

Space experts at the National Astronomical Observatory of Japan (NAOJ) initially tweeted on Jan. 30 that the Subaru-Asahi Star Camera “captured green laser lights in the cloudy sky over Maunakea, Hawai’i. The lights are thought to be from a remote-sensing altimeter satellite ICESAT-2/43613.”

Yes indeed… some may call some conspiracy theorists. But right now, we all maybe just became honorary members in 2023.

  • Meet Loab: The AI image if your nightmare

Meet Loab: The AI image if your nightmare

If you have been paying attention to pop culture and the Internet(s) lately, you’ll understand that there has been a flourishing new series of weird content .. There are various sources out there providing us some amazing artificial intelligence artwork. The type of art that enters your brain and is so vivid you wince, you look perplexed.. you get creeped out.

    So let’s explain..

It is everywhere!! AI art! It is abundant.. it is booming fast. And so often it is dark, creepy.. obscure and weird..

    People have embraced the weirdness..

John Oliver got fun and self-deprecating about AI art on his show..

Coast to Coast AM showcased AI images of Art Bell..

We also got into the act several weeks ago and made our own AI art by asking a computer to create “Coal Speaker.” It was pretty odd, as evidenced by our favorite picture:

    YOU HAVE OPTIONS..

Starryai.. Wombo.. Dall-E.. DreamStudio.. Midjourney.. You have options. AI is creating art for people on multiple platforms. As we have seen, the art normally gets dark and macabre quickly.. It is changing the world of art as well. Big time..

Think of it.. your imagination is contained to what it can conjure, what your brain can create.. but AI art can take it all in.. create something from nothing, or collect images and thoughts from various ‘Internets’ to bring a strange and bizarre sentence to life.

Search for “lima beans hunting aliens on the planet Poptart” .. and AI art will create it for you. Just for fun, we did that exact thing, and we came up with this (DreamStudio didn’t know quite what to do with it)

It all started with DALL·E … it made major waves since it was first revealed back in April 2022 because it was the most advanced AI art generator that we has been introduced..

Some artists are concerned. Other artists are just going hog wild creating images that are made in rapid fire by computers, based on random sentences.. random thoughts..

There is a huge new trend on TikTok of people search for each line of song lyrics to create an array of beautiful videos to famous songs..

    https://www.tiktok.com/embed/v2/7129499043125906693?lang=en-US&referrer=https%3A%2F%2Fcoalspeaker.com%2F2022%2F10%2F18%2Fmeet-loab-the-ai-image-if-your-nightmare%2F%3Ffbclid%3DIwAR0xjwKbAaHAHmGulnDbltwAxB5ZSPupMIvs3cdERXEATO86fofbSjIhctc&embedFrom=oembed

    All created in seconds..
All created with AI–no humans painting or drawing.. just artificial intelligence quickly changing our world…

    BUT AI GETS CREEPY

So often, it appears that AI art goes down a rabbit hole of high strangeness.. For example, we asked for a series of images of “Pope Francis” and eventually AI art created what appears to be the Pope fighting off a double-demon version of himself..

Other websites have capitalized on AI art and created “the last selfie,” something that made its viral rounds in the summer. Most images of the AI created “last selfie” appeared to be Armageddon. The end times.. nuclear weapons.. This is dark stuff. AI is a downer!

WHAT IS THE OPPOSITE OF MARLO BRANDO?

Thought AI art was weird? Here is where things get … really strange.

Meet Loab. The woman, or creation from AI art, of your nightmare..

    Let’s try to unpack ..

It all started back in September as we entered into the autumnal season.

An artist on Twitter under the handle @supercomposite used a technique called “negative prompt weights.” That means the user attempts to force an artificial intelligence system to generate the opposite of what they enter in the prompt.

Different terms can be “weighted” in a data set to determine how likely they are to appear in the results. You are simply telling AI to “Generate what you think is the opposite of this prompt.”

There is actually some coding that goes into this procedure..

So using this negative-weight prompt on the word Brando–with supercomposite referring to Marlon Brando–it created a logo image with a city panorama and the words “DIGITA PNTICS”.

At this point, supercomposite figured using using negative weights for the words DIGITA PNTICS it may see Marlon Brando..

No. Wrong. Instead, Loab was born.

    MEET LOAB

The AI generator has not been named, but some have speculated that due to its quality it MidJourney or Stable Diffusion.

From the Tweet back in September:

This is what supercomposite went on to say about Loab, in a series of Tweets:

Since Loab was discovered using negative prompt weights, her gestalt is made from a collection of traits that are equally far away from something. But her combined traits are still a cohesive concept for the AI, and almost all descendent images contain a recognizable Loab.

The angel hallway + Loab also produced art with such copious gore that probably very few people want to see them, but here are two. I don’t feel comfortable posting the most disturbing ones, borderline snuff images of dismembered, screaming children.

    ..

There is something moving to me about these grotesque scenes and the desperation, panic, and sadness that they convey. Again, these are produced with other images as inputs, and no text. They are the result of “cross-breeding” images of Loab with images of other things.

The images that result from crossing Loab with other images can in turn be crossbred with other images. The AI can latch onto the idea of Loab so well that she can persist through generations of this type of crossbreeding, without using the original image.

    ..

Even when her red cheeks or other important features disappear, the “Loabness” of the images she has a hand in making is undeniable. She haunts the images, persists through generations, and overpowers other bits of the prompt because the AI so easily optimizes toward her face.

    AND MUCH MORE..

So it can go from Loab:

    To these other versions:

    And this..

At this point, as she gets more famous, Loab could be potentially new “creepypasta” of the internet, but in the other side it could be a grotesque source of inspiration for making horror movies..

One of our favorite YouTube accounts, NEXPO, featured Loab in a recent video, and it is worth the viewing:

Matthew Skala, a computer scientist, tried to explain how Loab was created..

But why so dark.. Why does AI keep taking us to the abyss?

The AI generated images, derived from the original Loab image, go straight away into the realm of horror, graphic violence, and gore. But no matter how many variations have been made, the images all seem to depict the same horrifying woman.

They don’t change.. Loab stays.. She continues persisting through that weird and dark tunnel of AI art..

In the end, AI programs generate images using models that are trained on billions of images and are too complex to understand why a certain result is achieved.. So you will not really know why or how Loab, or any other oddity, was created. It just was..

    Loab is haunting.

Will she replace Momo and Huggy Wuggy? She sure could..

It is the Halloween season as this post is written.. so we are getting creepy. HyperAllergic joins in the fun with showcasing some other dark and grim AI art..

….yes….AI art continues to be just be glum and dire.. distraught and dark.

Until you ask AI itself to create “Happy AI creating AI Art” … and we get this:

But before you get overjoyed by the colorful and happy image of AI showcasing itself, don’t forget what else it creates. Images of the vast unknown.. the sad. The tired. The horror.

    And Loab…

Yes indeed… remember that before you embrace AI art..

  • Americans and their possession stories

    Americans and their possession stories

Thriller writer Lynn Hightower wrote an opinion piece for the LA TIMES about possession and how we just can’t get enough of it as people..

It is an interesting article linked here and goes into depth about one particular case that we wrote about many years ago: Latoya Ammons in Gary Indiana.

(WE have also had years of reporting on exorcism related news)

    Hightower writes,

In January of 2014, the Indianapolis Star broke the story of mysterious events that played out in 2011, in Gary, Ind. Latoya Ammons; her mother, Rosa Campbell; her daughter and two sons moved into a rental house and within a month trouble started — swarms of black flies, a shadowy man in the living room, footsteps climbing the stairs when no one was there.

Ammons’ 12-year-old daughter reported feeling held down and choked. She heard voices saying that her family would die. Ammons’ youngest son was propelled out of the bathroom as if he’d been thrown; he growled and thrashed.

Ammons could find no help. When one episode sent the family to the ER, the Department of Child Services was called. The children were found to be healthy; a hospital psychiatrist determined Ammons to be of “sound mind.” But a Department of Child Services caseworker and a hospital nurse reported that Ammons’ 9-year-son walked backward up the wall in a hospital exam room. The caseworker told the police that she believed there could be an “evil influence” affecting the family.

Ultimately, Latoya Ammons would lose custody of her children for six months. But once the Rev. Michael Maginot, a Catholic priest, performed three exorcisms for the family, the events stopped.

The exorcists are the skeptics now. Baffled and frustrated psychiatrists have turned to exorcists seeking help for patients whose torment does not follow the path of schizophrenia or delusional disassociation and does not respond to treatment.

    Highway concludes,

Joseph Laycock, an assistant professor of religious studies at Texas State University, who has taught courses on demonology agrees. He makes the point that an uptick in exorcism could be cyclical, due to social upheaval and uncertainty. A belief in demonic manipulation and exorcism, Laycock has written, offers a way of “interpreting contemporary political issues,” of “framing changing social mores.”

As we suffer through war, disease and division, the spiritual may help when rationality and science do not. I’ve listened to those who feel they have been under demonic attack; their explanation for why they sought out the age-old practice of exorcism is simple: They were desperate for a way to heal.

  • EASTER WEEKEND

    EASTER WEEKEND

    WHAT HAPPENS WHEN WE DIE

    “What happens?”

    “What?”

    “When we die. What happens?”

    “(Dunno) What the fuck happens”

“So what do you think happens, when we die?”

    “Speaking for myself?”

    “Speaking for yourself”

“Myself. My self. That’s the problem.
That’s the whole problem with the whole thing. That word, “self.” Thats not the word.
That’s not right, that isn’t…How did I forget that? When did I forget that?
The body stops a cell at a time, but the brain keeps firing those neurons.
Little lightning bolts, like fireworks inside and I thought I’d despair or feel afraid, but I don’t feel any of that. None of it.
Because I’m too busy. I’m too busy in the moment. Remembering.
Of course. I remember that every atom in my body was forged in a star.
This matter, this body is mostly empty space after all, and solid matter? It’s just energy vibrating very slowly why there is no me.
    There never was.
The electrons of my body mingle and dance with the electrons of the ground below me and the air I’m no longer breathing. And I remember there is no point where any of that ends and I begin.
I remember I am energy. Not memory. Not self. My name, my personality, my choices, all came after me.
I was before them and I will be after, and everything else is pictures, picked up along the way. Fleeting little dreamlets printed on the tissue of my dying brain.
And I am the lightning that jumps between. I am the energy firing the neurons, and I’m returning. Just by remembering, I’m returning home.
And it’s like a drop of water falling back into the ocean, of which it’s always been a part. All things… a part. You, me and my little girl, and my mother and my father, everyone’s who’s ever been, every plant, every animal, every atom, every start, every galaxy, all of it.
More galaxies in the universe than grains of sand on the beach.
And that’s what we’re talking about when we say “God.”
The cosmos and its infinite dreams.
We are the cosmos dreaming of itself.
It’s simply a dream that I think is my life, every time.
But I’ll forget this. I always do. I always forget my dreams. But now, in this split-second, in the moment I remember, the instant I remember, I comprehend everything at once.
There is no time. There is no death.
Life is a dream. It’s a wish. Made again and again and again and again and again and again and on into eternity.
And I am all of it.
    I am everything.
    I am all.
    I am that I am.”

  • THE PARANORMAL COMPUTER HOUR

    THE PARANORMAL COMPUTER HOUR

What a cool story! From the paranormal world, “1980s computer ‘ghost’ accuses couple of stealing his home then leaves for 2109″

    This is what happened…

Back in 1985,  Ken Webster was given a BBC microcomputer. Soon after, he and his girlfriend Debbie received a series of communications, known as the Dodleston messages.

According to a blog written by Allison Troutner on howstuffworks.com, it all started with a mysterious set of footprints after Ken and Debbie moved into a dilapidated 18th-century cottage in Cheshire.

During renovations, the couple noticed strange, six-toed footprints in the dust, which seemed to walk up the walls between the bathroom and kitchen.

The pair initially dismissed what they had seen as nothing more than a prank, and painted over the footprints – but they were back a day later.. Over the next few weeks, the couple experienced a series of incidents that made them feel as though they were not quite alone. Tins of cat food had been neatly stacked in a pyramid and an eerie presence was felt in the cottage.

Ken was a teacher at a local school, so he brought home a BBC microcomputer. Soon after it was set up, a message appeared, that seemed like an ominous poem.

More messages soon followed, with the writer asking Ken and Debbie who they are before accusing them of stealing his house.

Days later, a second equally strange message came through, appearing to be written in some archaic version of English.

It said: “I write on behalf of many – What strange words you speak – You are a worthy (good) man who has a fanciful woman, and you live in my house (who dwell in my home) – with lights which (the) devil makes – It was a great crime to have stolen (bribed) my house. – L.W.”

Over the next year and a half, more messages continued to appear. So, Ken asked questions back to try and find out the identity of the writer.

The mysterious writer initially gave the name as Lukas, but confessed his name was Thomas Harden or Hawarden. Thomas said he had been in communication with ‘a friend from 2109’.

The message read: “Try to understand that you three have a purpose that shall in your lifetime change the face of history, we, 2109, must not affect your thoughts directly but give you some sort of guidance that will allow room for your own destiny. All we can say is that we are all part of the same god, whatever, he is (?), is.”

It actually is from and 1855 legend of the Devils footprints..

There is a full article you can read here ..

Just a quick side note on Archive 81: It was perfectly splendid.. Not a bad show in the entirety. However we had some issues with the final show, we didn’t think it properly summed up the storyline that was being created in the first several episodes.

Undoubtedly it can set up a second season–which is also perfectly fine.

All in all enjoyable, and a creepy vibe.

  • Darkness Drama: Tim Dennis fires back!

Darkness Drama: Tim Dennis fires back!

There has been an ongoing social media clamor concerning the apparent battle between Darkness Radio host Dave Schrader and his cohost Tim Dennis. A few weeks ago, Schrader took to the social media and airwaves to discuss the future of Darkness Radio and his upcoming project: “Paranormal 60”.

Last evening, Tim Dennis use the first 20 minutes of Darkness Radio to discuss his counterpoint to watch Schrader headset. Dennis suggested that there may be no good will between the two, that there may be no future in which either one cohosts the same project again, and were possibly Tim Dennis goes his own way and the death of Darkness Radio occurs..

You can listen to the program here through Spotify:

The relationship between Dennis and Schrader goes back many years, as both a test two. However there seems to have been a breakdown over the past few months, maybe something that has been going on behind the scenes even longer.

At risk is the future of a really good show that produce great contact through the years. Paranormal radio fans would lament the loss of Darkness Radio, but it would seem that with the two hosts at odds and ends that is exactly what will occur.
