    Tonight TMZ is exclusively reporting that Roddy Piper died at 61 of cardiac arrest–news I don’t want to believe but information I believe is credible enough to pass along..

    This year has seen a number of mighty stars of wrestling pass away, most recently Dusty Rhodes..

    But Piper came as a shock–61 is young.. And his past medical battles, fights he won, made me think he’d be around a lot longer.

    But instead he’s gone too soon..

    As so many wrestlers before him..

    Virgil Runnels, aka “The American Dream” Dusty Rhodes — WWE Hall of Famer, three-time NWA Champion and one of the most captivating and charismatic figures in sports entertainment history — passed away today at the age of 69..

    He lived longer than many wrestling starts who preceeded him in death..

    Rhodes was a fixture in wrestling for decades.. his prime time came with the WWE, THEN WWF..

    Lately I have been listening to a number of wrestling podcasts including the Ric Flair WoooNation  show.  Getting nostalgic with each one more and more.
    This death also showcases the changing era as the old guard passes away..

    Tonight it would seem that a whole new time warp has developed. For the third time in five years, news trended on Twitter that Rue McClanahan was dead. She was the famed actress best known for her role as BLANCHE in the GOLDEN GIRLS.

    Despite the fact she died June 2010, her death news went wild June 2014. And now again June 2015..Today.

    While a time warp or slip may be a fun explanation, it would more appear that famous people suddenly took an old CBS tweet about her death and retweeted it to thousands of people. Thus began the domino effect..

    Tonight my wife yelled across the house to me that ‘Blanche is dead!’ I told I know.. I knew for years.
    And then suddenly I saw the news articles, such as this CBS report, speaking about how this is the third time people lamented her passing..

    So there are logical explanations for the viral conditions of the news.
    But they are not as fun.
    I’d rather the MANDELLA EFFECT to be replaced with the Blanche Slip.
    I blame CERN. They opened the portal.

    A famed actor who began his career in old school horror as Dracula before becoming a James Bond villain, and most recent to the newest generation of entertainment consumers, Saruman in Lord of the Rings, is dead at 93..

    According to a London Borough official today, the famed actor passed away..

    Lee appeared in hundreds of movies and video games.  He appeared in notable flicks such as LORD OF THE RINGS, STAR WARS, THE HOBBIT, THE WICKER MAN, and was original Dracula..

    The UK TELEGRAPH was the source of the report initially about the dead. Lee passed away on June 7 after suffering respiratory problems at a hospital..
