  • SOPA: Black Wednesday

    SOPA: Black Wednesday

Several popular websites, including Google, either partially or fully shutting down websites today (in Google’s case a blackened out logo) to protect legislation meant to stop online piracy–and legislation that many fear could lead to a chilling death to freedom of speech on the Internet.. As more today become aware of the ramifications of the online piracy act, it will shed light on two things: 1) how much power will the online blackout really have to awaken the masses and 2) how much power the masses really have over the asses. Will the citizenry call Congress to protest a controversial bill?

Whatever result comes from the online blackout will be interesting to see, but for a real dent to be put into SOPA and it’s champions like GoDaddy and the MPAA, the blackout must be effective and noticeable. And quick. Time is ticking on the legislation…

  • Moans and groans

    Moans and groans

Is the earth moaning or groaning? Are strange noises across the planet a sign of impending doom? Earthquakes? Nothing? Maybe it’s all just a hoax. These ‘noises’ perhaps nothing else but Internet chatter about noises that aren’t really so..

We know this much: There are months worth of YouTube videos showcasing what users claim are the sounds from earth.. And now more sounds and earth groans are occurring yet again, as highlighted by brand new videos online..

A few of my followers have previously told me in simply falling for a hoax. But the more I hear these videos and stories from seemingly reputable people talking about strange noises across the planet the more I think that supposed hoax I’m falling for is more truth than anything ..

The family was refunded by the restaurant.. Police investigating.. A hospital treating. Life in the modern age..

  • Closer to midnight

    Closer to midnight

.. the race to midnight just got faster, according to atomic scientists. Yes indeed, today came an announcement that the dreaded and famed Doomsday Clock inched a bit closer to peril.
Why? Global climate change.. nuclear tensions.. increased war drums across the globe. All this and more, coupled together, equals a clock racing towards annihilation.
2012 was fun until now. Just 10 days in, we discover that we are almost there.. the end times. Not due to a God above but due to the people below..
