  • Atkins the fraud?

    Atkins the fraud?

On those rumors of impending destruction as reported by the HORROR REPORT two days ago..
This from a reader on ‘Doctor’ Simon Atkins:

One look at his bio shows what a fraud this guy is. His list of credentials is full of Diploma Mills and makes very little sense for his line of work. Do not take this fraud seriously, very soon he will be behind bars where he belongs.

  • I didn’t know this until now

I didn’t know this until now

The asteroid zooming by the planet also has its own moon..
    Again I don’t know why I didn’t know this but I didn’t..

Father of suspect FBI killed reveals gruesome photos

The FBI said that Ibragim Todashev was shot and killed during questioning of his connection to the Boston marathon bombing after he became violent. His father, Abdul-Baki, has revealed photos that may force more questions to be asked about what the FBI did during this interrogation..

Todashev said his son was shot 7 times, including one time in the back of his head. He revealed photographs of his dead son at a press conferences in Moscow..

Originally the FBI said that Ibragim came at the agent with a knife and attacked him.. That story has since changed as information was revealed that the suspect was unarmed during the questioning..

Obviously the latest information has caused a furor online.. Just look at the comments from readers on this UK DAILY MAIL article..

    Andrea may be forming

The entire East Coast may want to keep a trained eye on the tropics.. Either hurricane or tropical storm Andrea is most likely going to form.. Some indications have it riding up the eastern seaboard–not good news for people in areas still not recovered from superstore Sandy.. The following graphic shows at least one possible scenario of the track:

    The storm bears watching..

  • Hannibal gets a second season

    Hannibal gets a second season

In a time when networks are shedding their losses, on show is shining.

NBC has given the green light to a second season of HANNIBAL.. Deadline reports that the network put off a decision but finally made one..

The show has been critically acclaimed, and has some solid ratings though viewers dropped off a bit after the first few shows..

It also shows evidence that movie theaters may not be where horror airs the most.. Television seems to be the new form of entertainment where fans get the best of horror and sci fi..

  • Another paranormal gem on radio from Clyde Lewis

Another paranormal gem on radio from Clyde Lewis

Clyde Lewis me have outdone himself last night, showing exactly what paranormal radio should be..
On the program he interviewed a guest only known as Edward, someone who came to him with a strange tale of his mom in the hospital..

According to the story, Edward’s mother suffered a heart attack and during treatment and became very violent with nurses–spoke in different voices, even growling and clawing at them..

Edward concluded that his mother was haunted by the spirit of someone named Olivia, and possibly four other devilish entities.. There was even a brief recording played last night in which a young girl says mommy over and over again..

Whether you believe the story or not doesn’t really matter. After all, radio is entertainment and in the world of paranormal radio it seems that Clyde Lewis is the only one that does it best..

But if you stop for a moment, and suspend your scientific and rational reality, think about the story itself.. If you actually listen to the program from last night you will find that Edward sounds very believable and does not seem at all to be trying to make money off of this situation.. Even further, his mom remains in the hospital and has continued to suffer setbacks, all the while Edward says that his home has seen increasing paranormal activity..
The show is a must listen.
….unless you do believe this, and if so you may want to stay very far away from the topic…

  • It ain’t Hollywood: The May 31 1998 QE2 asteroid flyby

It ain’t Hollywood: The May 31 1998 QE2 asteroid flyby

Well this is it.. for months we have been warned that a large asteroid the size of a cruise ship was going to zip by the planet Earth on May 31. And now, today, May 31, it is doing just that. As expected. Luckily for us it’s not in a direct path to hit the planet. Instead, the 2 mile wide space rock will travel within 3.6 million miles. That doesn’t seem close, but in terms of the universe, it’s only a pinhead away..

NASA chief Charles Bolden will host a live telescope view of the asteroid at 1:30 PM Edt.. Space.Com is set to broadcast the live event..

For the record, the asteroid we are going to be watching is 1998 QE2. It was obviously discovered in 1998.. where were you then? Me? I was a junior in high school probably staying up too late to watch David Letterman and listen to Art Bell, never imaging that the year 2013 would ever have even been here..
But this asteroid flyby brings up some delicate and important questions. What about the next ‘big one’? The one that is set to pound earth?
We assume we know of all of the threats out there.. but there are tons of space debris and rocks ready and poised to slam something somewhere. Next year, for example, another asteroid may very well hit Mars. Later in November of this year, we may see a comet as bright as the sun in our earthly skies..
Back in March of this year, NASA gave advice if an asteroid was on a collision course with the planet earth: PRAY. That is what they said.. Pray. And really, who could blame them? What else at that point where there be to do? ARMAGEDDON style responses are just Hollywood.. if the real event actually happened, world governments would hardly be apt to come together let alone respond with anything that would destroy the space rock..
    PRAY.
    Yes indeed.. pray.
  • Is it possible that we will bring the mammoth back to life.. and if so, SHOULD WE?

Is it possible that we will bring the mammoth back to life.. and if so, SHOULD WE?

I will answer the second question first: NO! Manipulation of DNA,  the creation of life..? that should be left to mother nature. Obviously people don’t remember JURASSIC PARK. 1993 may have been a long time ago, but the lessons of a simple Spielberg movie should never be forgotten.
    Now to the first question.
The speculation over the return of the mammoth has begun because a well-preserved mammoth has been discovered in Siberia. Even more: The discovery is coupled with liquid blood.. That’s right: The ice age giant has been found in Sibera with blood and muscle tissue trapped in ice. According to reports, such as this one on RT.COM, researchers broke the cavities with a pick and liquid blood came flowing out. This is a pretty big deal.. Like, beyond a big deal..
Reports conclude that the blood was placed in test tubes.. And .. well, the rest may be history once over-achieving scientists get their hands on the new found old life.
But now comes the tougher question: Now that we discovered liquid blood and have wonderful scientific abilities to clone and create, should we? I answered that with my own opinion above. But you’re free to opine.. I’d love to hear your thoughts ..
Just because we may possibly be able to bring the big mammoth back, does that automatically mean we should? Send me your comments on email, Tweet me, or leave a comment on Facebook..
  • Sleeping during trailers? Should Hollywood trailers only be two minutes long?

Sleeping during trailers? Should Hollywood trailers only be two minutes long?

It’s commonplace that, even  if a movie starts at 9pm, you’re not late until your get there by 9:30. That’s because trailers take up so much time of the first portion of your theater time.. And that fact has now caused theater owners to try to seek new rules to shorten movie trailers..
The HOLLYWOOD REPORTER has the story about how the NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF THEATER OWNERS (NATO, not to be confused with the other organization) wants to give movie exhibitors more control over how Hollywood movies are marketed inside theaters. Theater owners feel that trailers are already too long and don’t want NATO telling Hollywood they have more power to make them even longer..
Currently trailers are 2.5 minutes long.. But the MAN OF STEEL ran three minutes..
I personally don’t think a trailer lasting more than 2 minutes is effective.. Most of the time, in modern cinemas, all trailers sort of flow with the same format. The horror movie has scary music and the big jump scene.. the action movies have the explosions and the joke at the end.. the dramas have the sad music and the romance kiss.. the comedies have the silly music along with the funniest parts of the movies placed in the trailer. We know the game, Hollywood. We know the game NATO.. and we also know that, in the end, anything lasting longer than 2 minutes, and 2.5 to be sure, is meaningless. The attention span of popcorn eating soda hogs (me being one of them when  I actually get to a theater) isn’t very long.. We are waiting for the main reason we go to the theater. Do I appreciate trailers? Sometimes. But certainly not all of them…
NATO can do what they want.. Theaters can protest. I have no dog in this fight. I’m fine knowing that even if I’m late I can catch a film.
And if I really want to watch the trailer, I’ll watch it online..
  • A simple one-sentence AP news alert may signal the beginning of a war

A simple one-sentence AP news alert may signal the beginning of a war

The AP sent a one-sentence news alert across its wire services around this afternoon.. This is it:

BEIRUT — Syrian President Assad says his forces will respond to any future Israeli strike on Syria.

The ever-brewing tension in the Middle East may be coming to a head..
This past weekend John McCain visiting ‘rebels’..
    Russia sending arms to Assad..
Israel has vowed to target the missiles from Russia to Syria.
And now this threat from Assad that he’d strike back on Israel if they chose to hit first..

It just seems more and more that we are heading towards troubled times.. Indeed…

Even the simplest and smallest news alerts should cause us pause and give us concern..
