DO YOU WANT THIS WAR?!

He is famous for his anti-drone filibuster. But he’s not done yet..
According to reports, the gentleman from Kentucky is set to outdo himself.. Rand Paul may filibuster the Syria resolution!
This may make some uneasy.. Imagine.. a filibuster asking some serious questions!? the doctor performing a an exam of the policy!? …what will the media say!?
Will Chris Christie “weigh” in? If so, God bless the scale.
Yes, indeed.. this war is about to get interesting. NO! Not the war set to kill endless amounts of civilians, but the war among the elderly in the Senate who will look at the young freshmen Senator, you know the guy who may want to fulfill his dad’s legacy and become president??? …that guy…
What will Stinky say!?
What will ….Mizz Graham have to protest..?
Blood on hands? Not Rand! He may be a doctor, but not that kind.
Let’s hope for the Rand Paul… and let’s hope he takes a stand.

Since Matt Drudge broke the Monica Lewinsky scandal, Democrats have loathed his website and his popularity, and Republicans obviously praised him and reveled when they received his accolades. But in the process of maturing, the Drudge Report has evolved into a website that has a newfound libertarian zeal–it began linking to Alex Jones’ Infowars early in 2011 but still sticks to his roots by linking stories about Art Bell’s return to radio.
Drudge is an interesting character.. but go back to his famed speech to the press corps in the late 1990s, during the early internet’s wild west days.. he’s a lover of freedom. So why would anyone be shocked at his latest Tweets involving the Republican party?
Drudge tweeted two interesting items tonight..
It’s now Authoritarian vs Libertarian,” Drudge tweeted. “Since Democrats vs. Republicans has been obliterated, no real difference between parties…
But he didn’t stop there..
“Who are they?!’
Who are they indeed….who are they..
Who is Matt Drudge?
I would call him a lover of freedom, and an inspiration for the HORROR REPORT back in the year 2001, before 9/11 and when I was just 21 and dumb…
And now I’m 33 and half of 66, trying to figure out what the hell happened to me.
But Matt Drudge did not lose his mind. He became himself.
Drudge is Drudge and he’ll dig up sludge.. and link to interesting stories and characters in our time. He’s the cutting edge still, even with his mid 90s’ website design.
Democrats still won’t like him, but Republicans? They’ll hate him now..
But dig deep, humans.. dig deep! Are you a Democrat? A Republican? and…either way what the hell does that mean? Are you really in lockstep with a party platform? Are you really in favor of a war in Syria simply because your dear leader said so–and were you in favor of Iraq because that former dear leader sold his party to the idea that will lead to decades of birth defects thanks to depleted uranium?
Think deep.. be real.
And in the privacy of a dark room, look at yourself in the mirror and ask, who are you? I bet if you’re honest, you will cease being a Democrat, or Republican, and instead you’ll just be… a person. A human. One with questions and desires, likes and dislikes… you will not fit into the mainstream. Because there is no mainstream.
And as Drudge wrote in his book years back, if you’re bored? It’s because you’re boring.

Donald Rumsfeld had a lot of known unknowns, or knowns, or unknowns of knowns. Or something like that.
A new documentary put him on the hotseat about Iraq.
I don’t like he’ll like how this turned out!

WAYWARD PINES is still not being filmed in Philly, you did not miss anything..
Up in Canada, M. Night Shyamalan is trying some Twitter excitement for his upcoming series .. He released some photos tonight, one shot of the nighttime filming that is taking place and another he joked is a series of tools he uses to motivate actors.
I suppose you can’t use things like this in Philly..
Well..
Then again maybe you can.

Did Jack Nicholson quit acting?
Is he done film altogether?
Rumors online are going berserk tonight that the legend may be hanging up the makeup and making way for the ‘rest’ of his life.
Is this as good as it gets?
Is he joking!?
The rumor started….Somehow. There’s no real information as to where it came from.. nothing noteworthy concerning sources.. Just ‘sources.’ And with the ‘sources’ that are quoted these days, I cannot say I believe a word of this..
One part of the rumor concerning Jack is that he is ‘confused’ lately.. Apparently some gossip monger out there wanted to create a story that Nicholson was afflicted with something lots of other senior citizens have ….he may not be eating cans of cat food yet, but the original RADARONLINE site sure would make you think he was!
Radar labeled the story an exclusive. I can label a story an exclusive too, it does not mean a thing anymore..
The “well-placed” Hollywood source says Jack is done, that he retired without fanfare.
Maybe true..
Hell, he could die tomorrow, who knows!
But what I know is that I don’t much believe in any rumor I see anymore on entertainment sites.
Instead I’ll wait to see what Jack himself has to say–if he remembers that is.
But just in case RADAR is right..
Bye Jack. It’s been real.

There is a very fresh feeling in the air tonight, you cannot escape the impending autumnal chill here in the coal region of Pennsylvania, and perhaps your homebase as well.
Schools are back in session, meet the teacher nights are taking place, and that late summer sunset is beginning to look a little different as it happens earlier and earlier each night..
Just looking around as the first stars begin to appear in a beautiful clear sky this evening, I and think about the future but more importantly the present.. In a world so arguably beautiful why do we still resort to ancient bellicose war drums, battles that kill civilians, and actions that – the dreams of children?
I suppose questions like that will not be asked by the Congress as they vote to begin yet another war in the Middle East, but they should be asked deep in the hearts of every human being that enjoys the beauty of this planet..
