Other Mommy fell 70% in weekend two — the ninth-biggest sophomore collapse in Blumhouse history. We told you those reviews were dismal, wretched.. and apparently audiences agreed. Four historic second-week face-plants in two years now. At some point the real horror movie is Blumhouse’s release calendar. https://screenrant.com/other-mommy-box-office-week-2-domestic-drop/“>ScreenRant
Pepper spray at the movies..
A screening of Other Mommy in Argentina ended with a pepper-spray brawl breaking out in the theater. No word yet on whether the fight was about the movie or just the general vibe of 2026.. either way, it’s the most exciting thing to happen around this film all week. https://www.screamify.com/blog/2026-10-18%23237e6543-2b52-4691-a3b3-c7f4e32b5377“>Screamify
Stephen King says watch this one..
The King himself has endorsed Shudder’s The Cycle, out October 23. When the master of horror co-signs your movie a week before release, you don’t need a marketing department.. you just need to not screw it up. Fingers crossed. https://screenrant.com/stephen-king-the-cycle-movie-release-shudder-october-2026/“>ScreenRant
Monster House rises from the dead..
Twenty-year-old animated horror flick Monster House just cracked Peacock’s top 3 movies — despite co-creator Dan Harmon publicly disowning it. Nothing says "timeless classic" like the guy who made it pretending he didn’t.. the streaming afterlife is undefeated. https://www.mensjournal.com/news/20-year-old-animated-horror-movie-disowned-by-rick-and-mortys-co-creator-hits-peacocks-top-3-movies“>Men's Journal
