..a new documentary, Capturing Bigfoot, directed by Marq Evans, may finally provide some answers. According to a new review in Variety, the documentary explores not only the origins of that famous footage but also the people behind it and the family drama that has continued for decades.
The real shock footage, however, is the discovery of previously unseen film that could change everything we thought we knew about that famous encounter.
What’s particularly interesting about this documentary is that it doesn’t necessarily set out to prove that Bigfoot doesn’t exist. Instead, it takes a closer look at the footage that has essentially become the foundation of Bigfoot mythology for generations.
The newly discovered material appears to show an earlier filming involving someone wearing a creature costume, raising some serious questions about the authenticity of the original footage.
For some, this certainly doesn’t settle the question of whether something mysterious is wandering around the woods, it could settle one of the greatest debates in cryptozoology.
But for others.. it’s clear: People are calling it out as a hoax..
Variety gives the documentary an enthusiastic review, and we’re certainly interested in seeing it. After almost six decades, could we finally be getting to the bottom of Bigfoot? Or at least the bottom of a very hairy situation?
