Human adventures: The Murder-for-Hire Plot Against Aaron Goodwin

Sometimes, people are far scarier than anything you’ll find on a ghost hunt…

Victoria Goodwin, the ex-wife of Ghost Adventures star Aaron Goodwin, has been sentenced to prison after pleading guilty to a chilling murder-for-hire plot aimed at taking his life. The plan, which reads like something out of a true crime documentary, unfolded while Aaron was filming Ghost Adventures in California in October 2024.

According to prosecutors, Victoria conspired with an accomplice, Nicholas Amato, to have Aaron killed while he slept in his hotel room. Text messages obtained by investigators showed just how far they were willing to go. One message from Amato to a hitman read:

“He’s asleep right now in the hotel room… I need to know what’s going on. Can I get an update? Was it done?”

Victoria’s own message to Amato was even more chilling:

“Am I a bad person? Because I chose to end his existence. Not divorce.”

This wasn’t just a crime of passion — it was calculated and deliberate.

On June 5, Victoria was sentenced to 36 to 90 months in prison. Her guilty plea came in April, marking the end of a disturbing chapter in what was once a marriage — and almost became a murder case.

For fans of Ghost Adventures, this story serves as a disturbing reminder that the scariest things sometimes aren’t lurking in abandoned buildings — but right beside us, hiding behind a smile and a hug.

THE DEMON HOUSE OF INDIANA DEMOLISHED

Do you recall the exorcism house in Indiana? It made a ton of news a few years back. The HORROR REPORT chronicled much of the media circus involving the Ammons house back in 2012..  Including the news in October  2014 of that year that Zak Bagans bought the house to film a documentary about paranormal activity that was supposedly taking place within.

Today I learned that a piece of paranormal lure has been demolished. Literally..

The Latoya Ammons  house has been knocked down.

As reported by the INDY STAR, a paper that did its due diligence and brought the story of the Ammons house to the world, reports, that it was Bagans who made the call:

Bagans interviewed numerous police officials, a former DCS worker and others for his documentary. He would not say whether he interviewed Ammons or her family.

The home is where Ammons and her mother, Rosa Campbell, said many of the strange things happened.

Bagans told IndyStar his reason for destroying the home will be presented in the documentary. He said his goal is to launch the documentary at a major film festival this year.

This picture below caused a serious stir when it was photographed with a figure standing in the window–at a time when police say the house was vacant.

The history of the Gary Indiana house will be debated and long talked about. A priest called it a portal to hell.. Children supposedly chanted satanically ..

And let us not forget: Officials from both the police and government agencies said that the haunted tale Ammons told was real.

    The house now gone.
    Perhaps for the best.
    Though you can’t destroy evil..
