    ‘IT’ poster revealed

Entertainment sites were abuzz in the past 48 hours over the first official poster for IT..

The image features Georgie in his yellow rain coat.. a clown in the shadows handing him a balloon..  the picture is coupled with a Chiller-ish font saying ‘It.’
Besides the font (in my opinion) the picture on the poster works .. it shows the foreboding terror that the idea of Pennywise the dancing clown consists of. Seeing the darkness is like seeing a mystery.. knowing the fate of poor Georgie is even more awful as much as terrifying  … the whole thing is tragic. It’s horrific. It’s deeply scary.. and it has a red balloon for its own amusement and not yours…
In theaters September 8, 2017, the film is set “in a small town in Maine, where seven children known as The Losers’ Club come face to face with life problems, bullies, and a monster that takes the shape of a clown called Pennywise..

Bill Skarsgard stars as Pennywise, the sewer-dwelling monster.

1922 coming to Netflix (but we just don’t know when)

Netflix is fast becoming (or it already has become) the best place to see scary  movies.. new series that are impeccable.. the place where creativity is flourishing lately. Thankfully somewhere, right?

Nonetheless, the newest creation that I can’t wait to watch: 1922, a Stephen King story, starting Thomas Jane..

This short story is based in 1922 and is narrated by the character of Wilfred. He confesses to killing his wife (Arlette) and believes he is being haunted. As the story unravels, one has to question if he is going insane or if he is telling the truth. It is a dark, terrifying, twisted read that is absolutely compelling..

    1922 was first published in 2010 ..

Netflix has yet to announce WHEN the show will be released for streaming.. but two central roles are filled. Thomas Jane as Wilfred…Molly Parker as Arlette.

    Can’t wait.

    11/22/63 trailer

This was released a week ago, but with news and events, we didn’t get the chance to relay the message.

This is the 11/22/63 trailer, a movie coming to Hulu based off of the Stephen King book. The subject matter at hand: Going back in time to prevent the assassination of John F. Kennedy..

    [youtube https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2QIShmtBdto]

As seen, James Franco is starring in the trailer, playing a teacher with the mission. The series also stars Chris Cooper, Josh Duhamel, T.R. Knight, Cherry Jones, Sarah Gadon, and Daniel Webber as Lee Harvey Oswald.

It premieres February 15, 2016: Presidents’ Day.

There is something larger in play here as well. The 8 part mini series is not on ABC. Not NBC. Not CBS.. and certainly not FOX.. It’s on HULU, the land of the internet. Gone are the days when cable platforms matter. AMC, HBO, Cinemax, Showtime, Netflix, Amazon, and Hulu are the newly uncrowned kings.
