    STRANGER THINGS tops ‘favorite show’ list on Netflix

    According to a new report from leading Wall Street analysts MoffettNathanson, seven of the ten programs most often identified as Netflix subscriber favorites are produced in-house, with Stranger Things and Orange Is the New Black outperforming acquired hits such as Friends and The Office. 

    MoffettNathanson arrived at its conclusion by surveying more than 500 Americans from among a demographically representative sample, and then asking the 430 who said they had access to Netflix to list up to five of their favorite programs from the service..

    two shows were named by more than 10 percent of the survey responders: Stranger Things (13 percent) and ORANGE IS THE NEW BLACK (10 percent)

    Netflix has announced a second one called Darkness on the Edge of Town. The second novel will drop on June 4th, a full month before season 3 becomes available for streaming//

    Suspicious Minds takes us back to the summer of 1969 and tells the tale of how Eleven’s mother (and Hawkins, Indiana, where the series is set) got involved with government project MKULTRA. Meanwhile, Darkness on the Edge of Town tells the origin story of Chief Hopper as a homicide detective in New York City back in 1977.

    “It does feel bigger, just filming it,” she told MTV News while at the Sundance Film Festival.

    “I haven’t seen any of it, but it does feel bigger, darker, scarier. It felt like they noticeably bumped it up to a different level this season.

    “So I’m excited to see it, too. I don’t know how they do it, [creators] the [Duffer] brothers, but yeah, I’m excited.”

    Dyer is ready to premiere on NETLIX in just days..

    In Velvet Buzzsaw, Dyer stars alongside Hollywood heavyweights such as Jake Gyllenhaal, Toni Collette, John Malkovich, Rene Russo and Zawe Ashton.

    Based loosely in the art world, the story revolves around a mysterious painter, whose pieces appear steadily through the film even while he doesn’t, leading many to theorise on where they came from, how they were created and who the mastermind behind the work could be.

    It’s official: STRANGER THINGS 3 to hit summer 2019

    Stranger Things eight-episode third season will be released  Summer 2019. This is a little later than some had hoped or expected..

    Explaining the reason for the delay, Netflix’s VP or original content, Cindy Holland, told reporters Sunday at the Television Critics Assococation summer press tour, “It’s a handcrafted show. [Exec producers] The Duffer brothers and Shawn Levy have worked really hard, and they understand the stakes are high. They want to deliver something bigger and better than what they did last year. And so they really want to take the time to get it right.”

    Earlier this month the show released its first official trailer.. it features Hawkins’ mall grand opening. It featured Steve at the AHOY ice cream location.. it features nostalgia galore. And it makes me hope that the battle takes place within the shopping mall. What an homage to the 80s it would be! And what a great location now that the kids, in their 80s way, are growing up and hanging out at the best place that existed at that time: The brick and mortar of the famed shopping mall.

    This song, KIDS from the STRANGER THINGS soundtrack, has a melancholy but mesmerizing tone..It reminds me of a less incredulous time. It spawns memories in the nostalgic portion of my brain to form—glimpses of my past, my childhood, my friendships, my parents singing me to sleep ..
    It is the soundtrack to nostalgia, in a sense.

    There is something magical about most of STRANGER THINGS. But this song, as of late, has become a strange addiction… And as much as I hate the scourge of nostalgia, this song does nothing but open up more of the total recalls ..

    NEW STRANGER THINGS ACTION FIGURES REVEALED

    Being featured at the New York Toy Fair this past weekend, three figures: Will, Mike, and the punk version of Eleven. Based on likenesses of actors Noah Schnapp, Finn Wolfhard, and Millie Bobby Brown, each figure is designed with more than 12 points of articulation to allow for dynamic posing.

    The toys come with retro-themed packaging and a Stranger Things-branded display case. They also have some miniature props: Mike and Will each have a removable backpack, while Eleven comes with an alternate hand and a mask. Her design is based off the controversial seventh episode of Stranger Things season 2, which followed Eleven as she briefly left Hawkins to join a punk gang led by her estranged “sister” Kali (Linnea Berthelsen).
