THE MOTHER HEN: French artist Abraham Poincheval

    THE MOTHER HEN

French artist Abraham Poincheval, who famously spent a week inside a rock and two weeks inside a bear sculpture, has succeeded in hatching chicken eggs after incubating them for some three weeks.

Poincheval embarked on his latest project in late March of imitating a mother hen by incubating some 10 eggs with his own body heat inside a glass vivarium at Paris’ Palais de Tokyo contemporary art museum.

At the time, he estimated it would take 21-26 days for the eggs to hatch and the first did so on Tuesday. A spokeswoman for the museum said on Thursday nine had hatched and the chicks were on their way to a farm.

  • The Easter Saturday conundrum: Lights Out. Then on.

The Easter Saturday conundrum: Lights Out. Then on.

A few days ago the light on the computer desk blew. My wife was sitting writing a check out for a bill.. no better time for a light to fade away than when you’re preparing to watch hard earned cash float down the river of bank fees and bill collection. Nonetheless, given the current state of busy affairs for my family, I have not been able to even remember to get to the store to pick up more light bulbs.. It was on my ‘thangs’ to do list.

    …and now it’s not.

Because this morning, only moments ago as I write this post, the light actually came back on by itself. Really, it did.  A miracle bulb! Burns out! And re-flares itself!

    An Easter Saturday mystery.

I am not lying, the light literally rejuvenated itself while my son was playing Plants vs Zombies Garden Warfare 2 (I call it Vegetables vs Corpses to annoy him) .. while I Was laughing about my joke of a name, and also secretly panicking because our dryer suddenly stopped working this weekend, the light literally resurrected itself from the dead.

And while I am not trying to say this is a message from God or a spirit, there is some form of high strangeness that a light, dead, lights up again. Rising from the dead. And what makes this all the more weird: It happened three days after the light burned out…..

Of course, since it is the modern world, the first thing I did was search Google. And found this interesting REDDIT post in the Glitch in the Matrix.. Someone with logic said this:

There may be a logical explanation. Inside a light bulb is a filament: a thin metal wire, coiled up like a spring. Electricity causes the filament to heat up and glow. After many heating/cooling cycles, the filament may break and the light is “burned out”.

However, the little metal spring may only be broken in one spot and could still be bouncing around inside the lightbulb. Sometimes, (due to heating, cooling, or vibration), the little spring will reconnect to the place it broke off from and you’ll get a little more life out of the bulb before it finally burns out for good.

Logic is necessary during moments of mystery.
    And the light goes on.

    ROGUE AIR FORCE ONE

Life imitating reality.. reality imitating life.

Either way, some times things just happen that make you think a cosmic player is having fun.. that God is setting up coincidences to make us just laugh . Or Cry.

When Donald Trump announced his military strike on Syria the other night, he was on Air Force One. It was interesting that he spoke to the press while a television screen on the plane was playing ROGUE ONE, the STAR WARS story..

The movie continued to play while Trump fielded questions.  The internet, quick to make memes, really did not have to, this time.

Sticky baseballs… the odd 7th inning for Yadier Molina

…a baseball stick to Yadier Molina’s stomach during the 7th inning of the Cubs game ..

….no but seriously how did a baseball stick to Yadier Molina’s stomach anyway?

Baseball has lots of strange customs and habits.. players are paranoid about curses and spirits. And 7th innings are when weird things happen..
But a baseball sticking to a player’s stomach while the rest of the players search not knowing ?! Hats off to the bizarre in baseball because this one strange thing..

Really… give me some theories here … something to make sense of this .. it’s really bizarre ..

There a wildflower superbloom in the desert of the great…

There a wildflower superbloom in the desert of the great American Southwest!

A wildflower superbloom is underway in the desert Southwest in March after seven inches of winter rain. Anza-Borrego State Park in California hasn’t experienced a bloom so prolific since at least 1999 according to park officials.

“This is shaping up to be a great wildflower year!” the park wrote on its Facebook page late last week. “…desert lilies are spectacular, and other annuals are coming along nicely! Make plans now to visit near the middle of the month.”

The purple sand verbena is widespread in the Anzo-Borrega right now. It’s native to the Southwest and it thrives in well-drained soil. Pristine white primroses are also in bloom among yellow-flowered brittlebush. But, according to hikers’ reports, the most uncommon flower in bloom this year is the purple, notch-leaved phacelia.

The strange case of the Statue of Liberty going dark

Some of the lights that normally illuminate the statue went off before 11 p.m., leaving only her still-lit torch and crown visible to most in New York Harbor.

As one Twitter post opined, the timing was “just too perfect.” Definitely, tweeted another, “an ominous sign of the times.”

The near-blackout of the universal symbol of freedom was invested with great meaning on the Internet, with a consensus settling, more or less, on two interpretations.

    THE TURKEY DEATH MARCH

This video of turkeys performing ‘death dance’ around a dead cat in Massachusetts. The video looks odd, strange. It’s gone viral .. The NET has been abuzz about it.

But it may not be as sinister as people think..

Turkeys are not as dumb as you think.. If they see what they believe is a danger to them. They will keep watching it to make sure it’s not going to attack. They don’t realize this cat is dead..

Before I researched a bit as to why the turkeys were doing this, I also pondered if they were holding some sort of funeral for the dead cat.. Elephants do it. And there are other examples of death marches in the animal kingdom.

But this one? Well.. we at least have experts who opine that it was only to see if there was a threat .. just a normal flow and function of the animal world living in our materialistic and self-absorbed society..

    A Google Streetcar named desire

This is an oddity from the UK: A Google Street View with a View! And a bizarre coincidence …

The synopsis of events as written by Richard Harley-Parkinson:

A woman who was waiting for a lift sent directions to her friend who then spotted her in the same spot on Google Street View.

Michele Noad, 52, told pal Rick Hodge she would be standing on the corner outside Somerset County Council in Taunton where she works.

But when he tapped the location into Google Maps to plan his journey Rick, 54, was shown a photo of his destination – featuring Michele standing on the same corner.

He arrived at the location to find consultant Michele standing in the very same spot she had been photographed by Google five months earlier.

  • Now the Simpsons predicted Lady Gaga halftime show!?

Now the Simpsons predicted Lady Gaga halftime show!?

…let’s get this straight.. The SIMPSONS predicted that Donald Trump would be president of the United States more than 15 years ago.. it predicted, some would say, the ‘pizza gate’ scandal that briefly emerged late 2016 and into January of this year..

And now, fresh off of a successful halftime show for Lady Gaga, sleuths have gone back to 2012 and found an episode that seemingly predicted the EXACT SAME ACT that Gaga performed at the Super Bowl this past Sunday! The show was titled Lisa Goes Gaga..

    No joke.. watch it yourself:

    [youtube https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yn3SXAzZYRc]

    Seriously… seriously.. seriously..

The chills are within me.. the hair on my arm is rising..

In “Lisa Goes Gaga,” the entire town of Springfield is in an emotional funk — particularly young Lisa..

It just so happens, though, that Lady Gaga is traveling town to town to build tolerance and tear down those cultural walls that divide us.  She uplifts the town.

During this year’s Super Bowl, several commentators predicted (*and many of us feared*) that Lady Gaga would go political.. She didn’t do anything overt.. There may have been some veiled references to unification during the Trump Administration, but the show was fun and raucous, and detractors to be had a tough time finding much to criticize..

Just like the show, perhaps, predicted.

Are we reading too much into this??

….how many more Simpsons shows will, in this timeline, actually happen. Perhaps the producers and writers, through some reverse Mandela Effect, know the fate of this planet.
And Lisa, the woman president after Trump, has to take us from the abyss and bring about hope again…

    Strange times we live in.
