Actually somewhere in the dirt of the ground…
A reader from Tennessee set me this amazing photo, apparently he wrote Horror Report somewhere in dirt and decided to snap a photo of it. Thanks Tennessee Phil.
Thank you, it is appreciated, and it makes me think of a summer mission: Readers out there, send me ‘Horror Report’ written in a strange place and your photo may make my website.. Just spell it right.

The biggest tornado ever recorded
This just in from the National Weather Service: The tornado that struck Oklahoma Friday night (and killed 18 people) was the widest ever recorded or observed by the NWS.The twister that hit into El Reno, OK, was 2.6 miles wide–that is immense. It rated an EF5 (the same as the EF5 that hit Moore Oklahoma only days before killing 24, and many children) . .That means that the deadly Friday night tornado was the widest ever recorded..And this from the NWS to illustrate it: -

THE PURGE is coming: Is there a bigger meaning to the movie?
Imagine a utopia where all are happy, unemployment is basically nonexistent, and there is peace on every street corner. The only think you need to give up for 364 1/2 days of wonder and goodness is one day of violence–the PURGE is born. In this new movie released June 7, the government endorses the PURGE of citizens.. it allows any type of violence you can imagine. Murder, plundering, pillaging, raping.. anything goes. For one day.Ethan Hawke is the star of the flick. In it, he seems convinced, as do all other Americans, that the twisted PURGE sanctioned by the government is not only acceptable but also necessary to maintain order. The nationwide 12-hour crime spree has deadly implications for people in the PURGE, accept for the main character’s family. He built a fortified bunker, one that you can’t enter, or exit. But being a film with a plot, there is a mistake made by someone in the family, and a streak of morality forces the character’s son to try to help a man being ‘purged.’ Then the choice of the film becomes: Defend the man and risk their lives for 12 hours, or throw him back onto the streets to let him die.. ?There are very big moral implications in the PURGE. There are tough questions..Yes it’s meant to be a summer sci-fi-horror flick, but the entertainment value seems to vanish as you enter into the world of a purge..There is one fanboy controversy stemming from THE PURGE. There was apparently a STAR TREK plot exceptionally similar to the PURGE’s storyline.. But why would we think any idea is genuine? Even Shakespeare copied, right? …The other story of THE PURGE are the voices we hear calling for it to be banned!.. we are seeing some online say that the PURGE should be purged. The argument of Jim Kirwan, as posted on RENSE.COM, is that the PURGE film is going to have some real psychological effects on the nation.. real ones. He writes that the movie is a psy-op that is meant to destroy the fabric of the nation…Expect to hear other voices online saying this. The movie is controversial.. It has a controversial word of mouth–and that may do nothing but help the movie itself gain more attention and become a bigger attraction at the box office..But real reviews, not the conspiratorial ones, are being written about the film.At its best, the film has moments that recall higher-toned dystopian fiction, particularly the cycle of suburban noir reworked over and over again by Ballard in novels like “Running Wild,” “Cocaine Nights” and “Super-Cannes,” as well as trashier movie pleasures like “The Stepford Wives.” Auxiliary prospects could be improved by cult status
The tension is well sustained and the film is an effective, predictable cross between Assault on Precinct 13 (the remake of which DeMonaco scripted) and Funny Games (the fair-haired preppy leader of the sinister besiegers is a dead ringer for one of the psychopathic kids in Michael Haneke’s film). But it’s an excuse for a great deal of blood-letting rather than an occasion for ethical or political reflection. The conclusion suggests that in most circumstances most people will act with extreme moral turpitude. The best American film of the week, The Purge, is an interesting collision of genres. Writer-director James DeMonaco has created a family-in-peril thriller, reminiscent of Panic Room.t’s dystopic science fiction, like The Running Man or The Hunger Games. And it strays into the area of horror, like Straw Dogs and Funny Games. It’s clever in the way it takes some disagreeable elements from our own time — fear of racial minorities, envy of wealth, needless aggression and gun crime — slightly exaggerates them and projects them into the near future. There are two stories in the PURGE. One is the science fiction and horror element that will undoubtedly be eaten up and enjoyed by fans of the genres. The other story, the one perhaps we should pause and consider a little more deeply, is the moral and societal implications of a legalized purge.. and wonder a bit about whether we are already on a dangerous road that this storyline will somehow become a matter of fact in the future… -

Frustrated incorporated
I had a genuinely epic morning update of news, information, and videos.. and then my computer was handed the dreaded ‘blue screen of death.’ It happens now and then, then it works.
The bad part of the morning update: I was writing it in basic HTML in NOTEPAD. Hence, the morning update is gone.. And I don’t have the time to re-do it all.. But maybe you can look it up yourself.
Some highlights:
Autism may be caused by GMOs…
Turkey is violent with protests..
HALLOWEEN, the original VHS, was purchased on eBay for $13,000..
And lots of other info..
This was certainly frustrating.. -

Just when you were able to score one for real food, GMO wheat shows up to pollute the rest..
We all know that genetically modified wheat has been found in an Oregon field.. But now we are told that Monsanto is ‘baffled’ ..The almost two-feet plant created by genetic researchers features a new protein called Gliadin in the wheat plant–what will happen to the human body?It may mean we will consume more food because that protein will equal more hunger..We are not eating food anymore. We are eating genetically changed frankenfood. And that is why it should not be legally in that Oregon field..Monsanto released a press release stating that they were willing and ready to work with the government on the wheat investigation. Although it may be too late, don’t you think? .. at least Monsanto is ‘baffled.’ With the Monsanto protection act, it does not matter if they are baffled or not..And here is why it matters: Japan and Korea have suspended imports of United States soft wheat until they determine that none of the Monsanto garbage has entered their chain..This is important for two reasons:1) This now has a big economic factor (and Oregon is a huge wheat producer for the world) .. and 2) No one WANTS THIS CRAP. What sells in grocery stores now? Non-GMO, organic, and real healthy food.. Real food. What a premise!Things that were eaten for generations… we want that again. Enough of the toxic weapons.. enough of the sess pool of unhealthy processed goo that line aisles of the story. No, no no.. we want food again.Let’s hope this continues..Let’s hope that real food wins. -

The buried secret of AFTER EARTH: Who is to blame for Will Smith dud?
The movie AFTER EARTH was expected to be big.. So far this summer, films have been spot on in the money making capacity..Big names obviously help. What better than Will Smith and his son starring in a post-apocalyptic film about the planet Earth? Looks like FAST AND FURIOUS 6 was better, for one..The movie ‘experts’ among us are trying to pin a blame on why AFTER EARTH fizzled this weekend. While the HORROR REPORT knows (and has been reminded by some friends) that the money a movie makes really has no bearing on whether the movie is any good at all, it’s worth noting that this film with the stars in it probably should have been a littler larger than the life it was..After all, AFTER EARTH was in 3,401 theaters (only two hundred or so less than the number one film of the weekend, F&F3), and it earned only a little over $26 mil.. CinemaScore and Rotten Tomatoes were not kind to the movie, either..It was clearly a dud. Jaden Smith’s role couldn’t even save it..Nikki Finke seems to blame M Night Shymalan’s directing skills for the disaster of disaster movies.. Finke writes that Shyamalan is “unwatchable”… and she goes on to type this in her update on the movie:Will Smith’s residual mega-wattage was still strong enough to open the summer tentpole comfortably above $20M. But even that and Sony’s marketing prowess couldn’t overcome this Shyamalan meltdown, yet another in his string of box office stinkers which have made audiences and critics alike completely soured on him. (The director lost me forever after the execrable The Happening…) I’m told that Will really wanted M Night to direct – even though this subject matter decidedly wasn’t in Shyamalan’s wheelhouse – and they together developed the script for a “not terribly expensive” movie. But a budget of at least $130M is hardly insignificant. Still, given the fact that Smith has made billions for Sony Pictures, the studio felt it just couldn’t say no to its most successful movie partner. Now Smith and Sony must weather this very public failure. I’m told the studio worked “really hard” to fix this crapfest in post-production and that even an arrogant know-it-all like Shyamalan was aware the pic didn’t work but couldn’t fix it on his own. ”You keep hoping people are going to be as good as their best work,” one insider told me about this all-too-familiar filmdom situation. “Sometimes some collaborations bring forth amazing results. And some are not meant to be.”She minced no kind words for director Shyamalan, but equally was harsh on the movie itself..But really, to the average fan, what makes the movie a movie. The directing is really a secondary story to a bad script and a bad premise..And getting only a little over 13% on Rotten Tomatoes is abonimible..Other Hollywood former rags turned netrags are weighing in on the bad opening for AFTER EARTH, including the HOLLYWOOD REPORTER, which says the ‘box office shocker’ is a ‘major blow’ for Smith ..Vulture has a perspective, now that After Earth is widely considered a dud and failure, as to where things went wrong for Shyamalan. And they point to the BURIED SECRET OF M NIGHT SHYMALAN.Remember that? The way that Shyamalan planted media stories, made things up, acted in his role that was billed as a documentary..? Remember that? VULTURE seems to think that’s where the big missteps for the once widely-acclaimed director began. They may very well be right.People enjoy being entertained. But they certainly don’t enjoy being lied too (*accept if you go back to the days of Andy Kauffman, but that’s a whole different story*)Though we now know that fake ‘paranormal’ experiences that he had in the BURIED SECRETS 2004 documentary were no more than tall tales, the words of M Night Shyamalan may prove he could have a knack for being a psychic if he chooses to follow a whole new path.In 2011, Shyamalan was involved with an event at the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania when he said this:“Well, right now, I’m starting to believe that the future for me, what I want to do — and I know it sounds very hypocritical now, [since I’m] making this giant movie with Will Smith — is to be the Coen brothers and make small movies where I can take great artistic risks and do stuff that I know 30% of the audience is not going to dig, because I’m making it for the appropriate budget” -

Where has your sun been setting lately?
There is a video claim being made from a user on YouTube: Magnetic north pole has moved 161 miles in 6 months ..Before you scoff and laugh at, take a peek outside this evening.. See where your sun is setting..I have personally noticed sunrises and sunsets this year are much different than they looked last year.. the place where the sun rises and sets daily has been extremely different than past years..This video from MrMaverickstar on Youtube certainly confirms some of my thoughts..I have also not heard about this anyone much in mainstream science circles..In 2011, there was a report that Magnetic North was shifting 40 miles a year.. But that is no where near 161 miles in six months. There was a report from UPI a few weeks ago stating that ice sheets melting have caused the Magnetic North Pole to move East toward Greenland..So continue to watch your sunsets.. See where the big solar ball is setting today. You’ll get more information from your own eyes than theories of scientists. There is something taking place. -

Case of the Mondays: Some early headlines from around the world
MONDAY JUNE 3 2013A tale of two cities. There has been .091 inches of rain in 8 months in Albuquerque.. meanwhile Central Europe is dealing with widespread flooding. The earth is a planet of extremes..
Hurricane forecasters are closely monitoring a potentially big storm system this week.. Andrea is set to form and become the first Atlantic hurricane of the season.. This graphic shows the emsemble models of where computers, right now, think the storm is going to go.. It’s clear that anyone along the coast line from Florida through New York should closely monitor their favorite source of weather this week..
Seriously? What the hell year is this?! A Cheerios commercial featuring mixed-race parents is causing outrage online? And even more, hateful comments were so bad that the YouTube video disabled people having the ability to make comments.. ? 2.5 million interracial couples across the United States. This is the year 2013. And yet this..
Witnesses to Tiananmen Square massacre struggle with what to tell their children (and we know if the government is listening the parents will lie for their own protection).. hopefully somehow the kids will find out what exactly happened that fateful day in 1989.. The most famous photo from the massacre is a man standing in from of tanks.. What the media has failed to show over the past two decades since the event is that bloodbath that ensued, the streets that were covered in intestines, and the bodies littered with bullet holes. And still, parents in China are frightened of what to tell their children about the precious government that oppresses them…?Yahoo users informed that company has right to scan and read all of their emails.. So Tumblr users, scared yet?The land wins as Monsanto will not apply for GMO seeds–IN EUROPE!
