DeWayne “Lee” Johnson claimed that years of working with Roundup and Ranger Pro, both made by Monsanto, gave him terminal cancer.

Jurors in California superior court agreed the product contributed to Johnson’s cancer and the company should have provided a label warning of the potential health hazard. Johnson’s attorneys sought and won $39 million in compensatory damages and $250 million of the $373 million they wanted in punitive damages.

“This jury found Monsanto acted with malice and oppression because they knew what they were doing was wrong and doing it with reckless disregard for human life,” Robert F. Kennedy Jr., a member of Johnson’s legal team, told the Associated Press. “This should send a strong message to the boardroom of Monsanto.”

The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency says Roundup’s active ingredient is safe for people when used in accordance with label directions.

However, the France-based International Agency for Research on Cancer, which is part of the World Health Organization, classified it as a “probable human carcinogen” in 2015. California added glyphosate to its list of chemicals known to cause cancer..

A California jury on Friday ordered Monsanto to pay $289 million in damages to a former school groundskeeper who claims its weed killer Roundup gave him terminal cancer!

Monsanto said it will appeal.. but this could be the start of something .. floodgates for thousands of other pending lawsuits claiming the herbicide causes non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma may not have been opened.

    The AP wire reports,

Monsanto Co. said last week it will eliminate 2,600 jobs as part of a cost-saving plan designed to deal with falling sales of its biotech seeds and herbicides, which pushed its quarterly losses deeper into the red.

The job cuts will reduce the company’s 22,500-employee workforce of by about 12 percent over the next two years.

That news was greeted with mixed reaction in media, but stocks sunk lower on the news before American markets closed last week.

According to analysts, the stock price for Monsanto has dropped 25% since the spring growing season.

Negative reviews. People who studied Vietnam’s history and chemical warfare makers.. And a sudden burst of anti-GMO into the marketplace have created the perfect storm. Not to mention other countries where farmers are angrily voting against Monsanto products.

    Pesticides too..

    Is Monsanto Roundup-ready?

  • Just when you were able to score one for real food, GMO wheat shows up to pollute the rest..

Just when you were able to score one for real food, GMO wheat shows up to pollute the rest..

We all know that genetically modified wheat has been found in an Oregon field.. But now we are told that Monsanto is ‘baffled’ ..
The almost two-feet plant created by genetic researchers features a new protein called Gliadin in the wheat plant–what will happen to the human body?
It may mean we will consume more food because that protein will equal more hunger..
We are not eating food anymore. We are eating genetically changed frankenfood. And that is why it should not be legally in that Oregon field..
Monsanto released a press release stating that they were willing and ready to work with the government on the wheat investigation. Although it may be too late, don’t you think? .. at least Monsanto is ‘baffled.’ With the Monsanto protection act, it does not matter if they are baffled or not..
And here is why it matters: Japan and Korea have suspended imports of United States soft wheat until they determine that none of the Monsanto garbage has entered their chain..
This is important for two reasons:
    1) This now has a big economic factor (and Oregon is a huge wheat producer for the world) .. and 2) No one WANTS THIS CRAP. What sells in grocery stores now? Non-GMO, organic, and real healthy food.. Real food.
    What a premise!
Things that were eaten for generations… we want that again. Enough of the toxic weapons.. enough of the sess pool of unhealthy processed goo that line aisles of the story.
No, no no.. we want food again.
    Let’s hope this continues..
Let’s hope that real food wins.
