MONSANTO job slash: GMO vault drying

The AP wire reports,

Monsanto Co. said last week it will eliminate 2,600 jobs as part of a cost-saving plan designed to deal with falling sales of its biotech seeds and herbicides, which pushed its quarterly losses deeper into the red.

The job cuts will reduce the company’s 22,500-employee workforce of by about 12 percent over the next two years.

That news was greeted with mixed reaction in media, but stocks sunk lower on the news before American markets closed last week.

According to analysts, the stock price for Monsanto has dropped 25% since the spring growing season.

Negative reviews. People who studied Vietnam’s history and chemical warfare makers.. And a sudden burst of anti-GMO into the marketplace have created the perfect storm. Not to mention other countries where farmers are angrily voting against Monsanto products.

Pesticides too..
