Just in case you were interested.. and you may be. Ever see the BLACK MIRROR episode where a woman bought he deceased lover? This new technology seems ominously like the beginnings of the plot.

Judging from the set of photos though this is early technology. Improvements to come, surely..

The models come in male and female versions, with three sizes of each — slim, curvy and muscular — for you to choose from.

The 20cm dolls — aptly named ‘Nudees’ — are also matched to your skin tone, based on the two images of your head.

Bad news for glasses-wearers and people with long, flowing hair: Spectacles and long hair are too intricate for the 3D printers. Might be time for to rethink your image, then

The trial of a Dutch man dubbed the “dentist of horror” after allegedly mutilating the mouths of more than 100 patients in France is due to open on Tuesday.

Jacobus van Nierop, 51, ripped out healthy teeth and left dozens of patients in a remote French village with broken jaws, recurrent abscesses and septicaemia.

He is charged with aggravated assault as well as fraud over claims that he tried to rip off patients and insurance companies, and faces up to 10 years in prison and a 150,000 euro ($165,000) fine if found guilty.

Van Nierop, who went by the first name of Mark, was hired by a head-hunter in 2008 and was initially welcomed by locals in the rural area of Chateau-Chinon, who were sorely lacking in medical services.

The child robot would be able to respond to questions, display emotions and recognize people. Aside from being a social companion, the child robot could supervise unattended children and inform a parent or nanny if something went wrong, Thalmann said.

There are plans to program the child robot to speak different languages so that it can serve as an educational tool for children, she said.

“A child has toys but they are usually passive. This robot will be an active toy which interacts with the child,” said Thalmann. “It will be able to remember what the child likes.”

A woman starved to death after being trapped in an elevator for a month:

A 43-year-old Chinese woman was found dead by an apartment building’s maintenance workers after she was trapped in an elevator for a month.

The incident took place in the northern city of Xi’an in China. According to local authorities, the woman was trapped after maintenance workers from Shaanxi Kaiwen Mechanical and Electrical Equipment Company shut off the power supply to service the malfunctioning elevator on Jan. 30.

However, the workers left for the extended Chinese New Year break and only returned to the gruesome find of the woman’s corpse on Mar. 1. Reports also said that the lift walls were covered in desperate scratch marks made by the woman.

The woman wasn’t even searched for in a month.. According to what is known she had a mental illness and didn’t associate with people, and lived alone…

Why do I think we will see a horror movie about this in a few months….?
