Small town clowns attack again

A few days ago, I wrote about the ‘small town clowns’ scare going on in South Carolina. It just got weirder.. Not only there but in a lot of other places. Heck, maybe YOU are dressed like a clown reading this!?

A local FOX affiliate in South Carolina quoted someone saying ‘this is serious’ after yet another incident of a clown occurrence took place in the state. The latest took place on August 31.. The complainant, a woman, told officers that a person dressed as a clown was standing in her backyard. She snapped a photo and the person ran off. Police said the responding officer tried to view the photo on the woman’s phone but the image was too dark to make out… The closest SC had to proof yet! Unfortunately it is shrouded in the darkness of the night.

But get this: It is not just South Carolina suddenly fearful.

An NBC affiliate in Ohio is reporting that someone in a clown outfit chased a 14-year-old from his bus stop.. The report also claims that the clown was carrying a knife during the run.

Police are warning that whoever the clowns are, they will be arrested,

And with that.. Heat Street says that the fear of clowns is sweeping the globe. Sounds ominous. They used an interesting photo for their story:

The site reports,

Coulrophobia – the fear of clowns – might seem like an old-joke from the 1990s – but more and more people are signing up to it.

In recent years, clown masks have become a new favourite to intimidate and scare people.

I don’t want to toot my own horn too much (but I am on the cutting edge of pop culture! I swear I am!) but I predicted this a few weeks ago. When one little article popped up regarding clowns, I went to my Facebook page and alerted readers that clown season was coming back again.

It happened years before, too.. Check my articles from the past to jog your memory. In 2014, for example, I wrote about the great clown panic of the autumn of that year.  This year, the panic seems to be growing.

Clowns behaving badly. People dressing like clowns.

The autumn winds and early seasonal changes make this time of year perfect for clown scares.. Seriously. The night begins to creep in .. clowns symbolize the end of life (the big inflated noses and white skin, coupled with scraggly hair, are all the active signs of a corpse decomposing) .. I expect more clown scares before the end of the fall in the pre-weeks to the Halloween season.

This is my favorite time of year. The colors, the smells, the feel of the air.. the things to do. And the clowns to see.
