It remains a nostalgic symbol of Coney Island and of amusement areas influenced by it.. It features a man with a wide, exaggerated smile which sometimes bears as many as 44 visible teeth. The image was meant to convey simple fun, but was also observed by cultural critics to have an undercurrent of Victorian-era repressed sexuality
The face’s most prominent appearance in Coney Island was in glass on the exterior of Steeplechase’s Pavilion of Fun, created when the park was rebuilt in 1909. In 1966, real estate developer Fred Trump destroyed the park in an unsuccessful attempt to create condos on the site. During the demolition, Trump handed out bricks to the public, encouraging visitors to throw them at the glass Steeplechase Face..
But the smiling man picture in this photo seems to linger.. The constant grim, either nefarious reveling in the crimes of Epstein or secretly smiling because he knows the truth will come out eventually.

The number of reported cases of possible attack is sharply growing and lawmakers from both parties, as well as those believed to be affected, are demanding answers. But scientists and government officials aren’t yet certain about who might have been behind any attacks, if the symptoms could have been caused inadvertently by surveillance equipment — or if the incidents were actually attacks.

The Democratic and Republican leaders of the U.S. Senate Intelligence Committee said on Friday incidents similar to suspected “directed” radio frequency attacks on U.S. diplomats appear to be increasing and the committee was investigating. In a statement, Senators Mark Warner, the committee’s Democratic chairman, and Marco Rubio, its Republican vice chairman, said they have been aware for nearly five years of the mysterious attacks on U.S. government personnel in Havana, Cuba and elsewhere around the world.”This pattern of attacking our fellow citizens serving our government appears to be increasing. The Senate Intelligence Committee intends to get to the bottom of this,” they said.

Soon came the hearing loss, and the speech problems, symptoms both similar and altogether different from others among at least 21 U.S. victims in an astonishing international mystery still unfolding in Cuba. The top U.S. diplomat has called them “health attacks.” New details learned by The Associated Press indicate at least some of the incidents were confined to specific rooms or even parts of rooms with laser-like specificity, baffling U.S. officials who say the facts and the physics don’t add up. “None of this has a reasonable explanation,” said Fulton Armstrong, a former CIA official who served in Havana long before America re-opened an embassy there. “It’s just mystery after mystery after mystery.”
A U.S. government employee in southern China suffered a brain injury after reporting strange “sensations of sound and pressure,” a strikingly similar account to what American personnel experienced in recent years in Cuba, State Department officials said on Wednesday. In a health alert to American citizens in China posted online Wednesday, the U.S. Embassy and Consulates in China said an employee stationed in the sprawling port city of Guangzhou had “recently reported subtle and vague, but abnormal, sensations of sound and pressure.” The cause of the reported symptoms remains unknown.
The House Intelligence Committee is also working on the issue, and a spokesman for House Intelligence Chairman Adam Schiff, a California Democrat, said the reported attacks affecting personnel in Havana and around the world “are of grave concern,” adding that recent intelligence authorization legislation gave the CIA director more authority to provide benefits to those injured by hostile acts.”We have been working quietly and persistently behind closed doors on this critical issue since the first reports, and pressed Director Burns on it during the recent Worldwide Threats hearing, in both open and closed session,” the spokesperson said. “The Committee will continue to hold events and briefings on this subject and we will follow the evidence wherever it may lead and ensure anyone responsible is held to account.”
